I was looking for a better-value-for-money accomodation in Kenya and finally decided to stay at this camp. Now I can hardly imagine a better choice! Tsavo Mashariki is a nice camp conveniently located just at the entrance to the Tsavo East National Park. Everything is great: cosy lodges for an affordable price close to savanna wildlife, friendly and helpful staff,... More

We loved our time at Mashariki. There are so many animals that hang around the camp, we loved just sitting on our veranda and taking in the scenery. There is lots of space between each of the tents so it felt like a real bush camping experience, although with more luxury! The campfire dinners were a highlight. The owners and... More

The mashariki camp was not as expected is I thought it would, it was just terrible. The rooms could have been done better but the worst thing was our tent was near the unpaved road and we had an uncomfortable night hearing vehicles. Otherwise the food was not bad, but the waiters did not do too good for a job... More

A beautiful small scale camp obviously designed and managed with a lot of Tender, Love and Care for nature and for guests. We stayed in the family cottage which was beautifully designed, with attention to details and comfort. We had a beautiful view of the park and at night we could hear the lions roar. Dinner was served around the... More

My fiancee and I stayed here during our great safari that we booked through Julius Nzumbi with his company JT (Julius Tact) Safaris whose main office is next to Diani Beach Resort, but also an office opposite the Sentdio hotels at Galu Beach, South Mombasa. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent with a small selection of... More

This camp is situated just beside the main entrance to Tsavo East National Park in Voi. The safari tents and lodges are placed in the most beautiful wildlife surroundings. Dik-dik and kudu antilopes visits as well as small mungos and marvellous birds - duing the night you can hear the lions roaring in the park. The staff is very helpful... More

I was fortunate to stay at Tsavo Mashariki Camp during November and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone planning a pleasant, relaxing stay in Tsavo East National Park. Each tent or cottage provides a view into the park from the veranda and I was even able to see wildlife inside the park with my binoculars. There is a beautiful... More

Travelling with a group of 23 youth and adults is always an unwieldy proposition, but Michela and Amerigo were able to squeeze us in while at the same time making each member of our group feel special. Accommodation-wise, the jury is out on what the members of our group enjoyed more - the great tents that sigh softly in the... More

We spent 4 fantastic nights here last week and did not want to leave. The location is amazing - literally metres away from the main entrance (Voi Gate) to Tsavo East National Park. We went to sleep listening to the sounds of the bush, including elephants, lions and hyenas, and woke up to the sight of a mongoose family metres... More
