Our Bedouin tents were newly made in December 2013. Each tent is fully wind and waterproof and made 100% from goat's hair. At the camp, we have solar-powered water and electricity so you can have a shower and charge your electronic devices. Each night we cook traditional Bedouin food which is cooked bbq-style under the sand. It is served with vegetables and salads. We have a range of quality tours.

I booked a whole day tour with Mohammed through his website, the communication was excellent and he listens very well to your wishes. I got exactly the tour that I asked for: off the beaten track, just the majesty and quiet of the desert, a great guide (his cousin Ahmed), Bedouin lunch. A perfect day. The stay in the camp was more crowded. That is probably unavoidable, but a lot of tourists come to the Wadi Rum now just to take selfies and run screaming down sand dunes. Not my idea of fun. But can’t blame Mohamed for that. Dinner was ok, but a few loud people spoiled it a bit for me. Bed is good, slept great after watching the stars at night, got up early to watch the sunrise.. magical. Decent breakfast

We were a group of 13 people and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. The staff is wonderful, they treated us with awesome hospitality and we felt at home. The camp is perfectly prepared and is very comfortable. It is located in a privileged place that allows you to enjoy the wonderful environment that is the desert of Wadi Rum. The Bedouin food is delicious and the atmosphere in the camp, both with other travelers and with the staff is magnificent. It is highly recommended to take the Pick Up tour to see the most emblematic places in the desert. Without a doubt, we will return to this wonderful camp. It was hard to leave the place.

We stayed for 1 night and had a lovely time. Both dinner and breakfast were good, and the tent and beds were comfortable (although fleece blankets in the height of summer). Our guide was very knowledgeable with excellent English, and was happy to share his desert stories with us. Toilet and shower facilities good too. Excellent value for money.

We spent three nights at the Wadi Rum Protected Area Camp, and loved it. We chose to do two days of a walking tour, as we wanted to experience the vastness of the desert on foot. It was spectacular, and Mohammed was an excellent guide. It was great to come back to the camp for night, enjoy a wonderful meal and sleep in the tents. For us, spending the extra nights at the camp was worth it, and gave us a much better feel for the desert. It was a memorable trip to Jordan, and Wadi Rum Protected Area Camp was a large part of that experience. I loved scrambling around on the rocks, and walking over some of the bridges...

Even though we were late we got picked up in the middle of the night by Suleiman, who took us on a 20min jeep ride to the camp. It's located in a stunning place, that fully opened itself to us the next morning. The camp is suitable for people who look for a simple but satisfying stay. Although the nights in winter are freezing cold, the rooms were well equipped to give us a warm and cozy sleep. The owner is a friendly man who likes to help and let his guests feel welcomed in every way. Although we didnt go on a jeep tour that is offered by him as well, we walked/climbed around in the surrounding areas and got some fantastic views that can't be found anywhere so easily. In the evening, try the delicious meals based on local Jordanian food, that are served in the camp. I can fully recommend the Protected Area Camp to other visitors who want to enjoy the incredible nature of Wadi Rum and be in safe hands!
