This is a must if you are visiting Jordan! My family and I highly regret that we stayed only one day and night.
We experienced an incredible day with Omar and his 8-year-old son Wisam. Wisam climbed on all the mountains and rocks with us and in the evening, after dinner, he asked us to play Uno which he played by his own, special rules :) He was genuinely one of the best parts of the trip!
Omar was, except for his son, our favourite person we met in Jordan. When you meet him, you instantly feel trust towards him. He is a very smart and well-balanced person.
The place they have built is lovely! It is much more luxurious than we had expected in the middle of the desert.
The part we loved the most was the big tent where we were served dinner and breakfast. They have a big fireplace in the middle of the tent, everyone sits around, smokes shisha and talks. That way you get to spend time with the local people (Omar, Wisam, the chef and their friends who visited) and the other guests. Beautiful atmosphere!
And one more win: the chef (unfortunately I forgot his name) made us the most delicious food we had in all of Jordan (and all the food in Jordan was already amazing)!
So, if it's not clear by now, I LOVED the day in Wadi Rum organised for us by Omar. I hope I will get to come back!

If you are visiting Wadi Rum you need to book with Wadi Rum Dessert Tours. The staff are amazing, the food was delicious, and the views from our almost panoramic room were breathtaking. The comfortable rooms are located in a spot where you have a beautiful view of the milky way over the desert mountains. The icing on the cake is that Omar and his team were amazing to get to know and shared a lot about Jordanian culture.

Check out the photos I took below!

My partner and I left alone, supervised by the 2 organizers, to spend 3 days and two nights in the desert.
It was beyond our expectations.
Everything was incredible by far: the landscapes, of course, but above all the generosity of our organizers who bent over backwards to please us and that was pleasantly felt.
On the program: hiking, climbing, barbecue and meals prepared on site, but also games and night in bivouac under the stars.
I highly recommend.

Hello, we spent five days walking in the desert of Wadi Rum.
We enjoyed these five days of walking, with our guide Omar.
He was very attentive to our requests. We wanted to walk alone in this desert. We were able to. Omar showed us the direction, every morning, explained the program of the day on Google earth. But Omar was never very far away to guide us.
We were able to enjoy these beautiful landscapes at our own pace, sometimes slowly, sometimes a little more athletically.
We also did two very nice hikes in the mountains, with Omar. Summits we couldn't have done alone.
Throughout this trek we were able to sleep in different and isolated places.
The last night was spent in Omar's beautiful family with whom we were able to exchange. And better understand the lives of the benefices.
We highly recommend visiting Wadi Rum with Omar.
In addition to sharing his passion for the desert, he will delight you with his simmered dishes.
We left the Wadi Rum with great sadness.
A bientôt, Marina et Pascal.

I went to Wadi Rum on my own as a female solo traveller and from the first moment I ntalked to Omar on the phone he was very warm and welcoming. He picked me up from Wadi Rum village and I joined another group at his camp for a tour. The nature is stunning and I wish I had stayed for much longer. The dinner and breakfast at the camp were delicious and Omar is a very friendly, funny and knowledgeable guide! I can only recommend!!!

It was my favorite time in Jordan. Mr. Omar knows the desert and how to read people very well. So he offers what you might like. He and his team treated us like we're their guests and we were surrounded by sincerely nice people. Moreover the best part is with his guidance we experienced desert instead of just seeing and being there.

Since the very beginning, Omar was absolutely friendly. They drove us around the desert stopping by four popular locations in where we had a welcoming tea waiting for us. The lunch they gave us was delicious and even more the dinner! After the tour, Omar and Mohamed prepared for us the traditional chicken underneath the sand. The hospitality was incredible. When we were about to leave, we just found out that we had possible lost our keys, they helped us a lot and in the end Mohamed found our keys!!! Happy end :) We will always remember you guys!

Awesome half day tour. Omar is perfect, helpfull and the tour was 10/10. Go for it! It includes sandboarding and even some tea and refreshements with locals which was a really cool experience. Omar also has a nice camp so if you want to stay for the night, do not hesitate :)

Shooting stars, awesome landscapes, sweet tea and amazing stories around the fire, that's what awaits you with Omar. You will feel this warm welcome typical of this country, in the camp and during the tour. Travelling alone, I was also pleased of the atmosphere of trust this great guy exudes. Don't even think more about it, book this tour here ! Thank you again Omar, I'll never forget this
