My group of friends and I had an amazing time staying at Mohammed's camp. He arranged for taxis to pick us up at the border crossing from Israel and arranged for transportation for us to Petra and back, as well as back to the border for really reasonable prices and with really safe, responsible drivers. The camp itself is in...

The guide was so friendly and everything was possible! Camp is clean and basic. The food is really good and tents are comfy as well! From the camp there is a great view and sunset. There is 24 hour electricity in the camp, so no problems to charge your phone or camera

Fantastic time spent driving around Wadi Rum to get to the camp, and then being the only people in the camp meaning we had our excellent Bedouin guide Mamdouh. The conversation was fascinating and the food really well cooked, the tea was everlasting and tasted great. Beds were comfy and amenities were better than expected for camping. The stillness of...

We loved our stay in the camp and activities offerred by them. It was cold out side but we enjoyed talk with Mohammad and other Bedwin camp staffs and guests of the evening around the fire in the tent. As the fine is under a big chimney, it is safe and warm. Food was axcellent, a tradditional Bedwin cooking with...

We were a group of five who overnighted at Mohammad Mutlak Camp. We were warmly welcomed and our adult son was offered his own tent, despite being booked to share wih us. We watched the sunset on top of a rocky outcrop, before being treated to dinner of chicken, rice and vegetables traditionally cooked in a wood fired pit. After...

The Wadi Rum desert is a unique and inspiring place to visit, and I can thoroughly recommend the Mohammad Mutlak Camp in general and our guide, Ibrahim and the camp cook, Faris in particular. My son and I enjoyed the tour around the desert in the back of the four by four taking in key sights such as the Lawrence...

Relatively remote desert camp which exceeded expectations. Ibrahim is a very good guide. The camp was well appointed and comfortable with excellent food and good facilities considering its location. Wadi Rum is a must on any visit to Jordan.

We spent a very special two days in Wadi Rum with the Mohammad Mutlak Camp. We are especially greatful for our wonderful guide, Mamdouh, who drove us around to the sights on day 1, and escorted us for a hike on day 2. He is very attentive, knowledgable, great jeep driver and has a wonderful sense of humor. The camp...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The camp is small, intimate and very safe. It is in the south of the reserve, away from other tourists and far from traffic and worry. You will experience the serenity only found in the heart of the desert, and enjoy the dazzling night sky un-polluted by city lights. The bedrooms are Bedouin tents, both very attractive and comfortable, which open directly onto the desert expanse. The rest rooms are modern and clean, with flush toilets and showers with hot and cold running water. The dining area is a traditional semi-enclosed Bedouin tent with lounge, where you can recline to chat and drink endless cups of tasty local tea around the fire while gazing up at the stars. The meals are delicious and freshly prepared on site. You may even be treated to the melt-in-your mouth delight of zarb, a banquet of meat and vegetables slow-cooked the traditional way in an underground oven. The staff are polite and helpful, and available at all times to ensure your stay is perfect. ... more   less
