I visited Atieeg family camp with a group of quite demanding adventurers. Some of my friends told me they favour Wild Wadi Rum camp over luxury camp we visited night before. Wild Wadi Rum facilities may be rustic for European standard, but you can find here pretty much everything you need at desert camp. There is shower, quiet double/triple chalets,...

Three of us spent an amazing two days spent in Wadi Rum with extremely hospitable hosts Salman and Hussein. They took us to all the main sites in a Jeep and let us go on hikes whenever we felt like it. We then opted to stay the night in their family's Bedouin tent rather than the usual camp. We got...

I have stayed with Salman, Ali and their family for three weeks. My experience with them was amazing. I am from Canada, and the Bedouin culture was completely new to me. They showed me the desert and the love they have for it. They took me around to their thousands of cousins and uncles, and we probably had millions of...

It was a privileged to spend quite a bit of time with Salman and his wonderful family, they treated me like their own family even though I am from a very different culture. My experience was miraculous, i was staying in the traditional Bedouin tent with Salman's grandmother in the dessert, she took care of me like her own kid,...

We were happy to meet Eid and his son Salman. A week before our visit we have planed our journey to Wadi-Rum with Salman. He gave us a good price. Finally everything was like it expected to be: the car was good, the experienced guide, tasty traditional lunch and tea. Eid showed us the most beautiful places in desert. We...

During a 4 day trip to Jordan me and my parents decided on visiting Wadi Rum. Visiting Wild Wadi Rum's website, I decided to contact them regarding a jeep trip the next day. Got instant and prompt reply from Salman and made the arrangements for a 5h trip the next day. The welcome by Salman in his home was extremely...

Had an amazing experience of the wild of Wadi Rum with our guide Ali. A really great guy with lots of knowledge. He cooked us a really nice vegetarian meal which I didn't expect and showed us so much of his life over the course of half a day. Will definitely go back and do these tours with him!

We joined Ali on his 4x4 on a half day tour of Wadi Rum. It was a unique experience not only to explore this magnificient landscape, but also to get a deep feeling of the bedouin culture and lifestyle. Ali was so welcoming and friendly with us, he drove us to places he deeply knows and cooked for us authentic...

We spent 8 days in Jordan last January and we decided to spend half of that time in Wadi Rum. I got in touch with Salman before our departure and he made all arrangements for us ahead of time. We were guided by Eid who clearly made it his highest priority to make our trip as special and memorable as...

Spending one day and one night in Wadi Rum with our wounderful guide Salman was the best thing of our trip. We enjoyed the nature of the valley a lot, Salman showed us all the nice and interesting places and in the evening we could sleep in a real Bedouine tent and even got to know Salmans uncle and grandmother....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Desert Campsites: We have two beautiful desert campsites. It is set beneath Jebel Araqqa with great sunset views to the west across a wide sandy valley. In addition to our private tents with both single and double beds and all sleeping equipment, the camp features a kitchen and state-of-the-art bathroom facilities, including sinks, western-style toilet and shower with hot water. Our traditional, long, black Bedouin tent, woven from goat hair, comfortably seats even large groups on its comfortable carpets, cushions and pillows. The tent faces a large rock outcropping under which you may choose to sleep when the weather is nice. Many of our jeep, camel and hiking tours include nights in this camp, during which we also cook generous Bedouin meals. ... more   less
