"Rum Oasis" is a Bedouin Camp just outside of the Wadi Rum protected area. Wadi Rum is located 1 hr south of Petra on the way to Aqaba. It is an overnight experience not to be missed. The food is excellent. Tents are clean and warm, sleeping 2 in either double or twin beds, or if you prefer you can sleep under the stars. Modern and clean shower and toilet facilities are available. Your stay can be with Bedouin party, dancing and music or generator off and experience the silence and most amazing stars you have ever seen. Sunset/sunrise tours by jeep or camel are available. The situation in the middle east, needless to say that Jordan is safe, had caused the camp to be very quiet with few guests. There was only a party of 3 staying there besides us. The guys were very friendly, made great food and had us experience a lovely night in the desert.

We spent 2 nights in the camp and had a lovely time. Day 1 we did a 4x4 trip for a few hours, day 2 we had 5 hours on camels and hiking with a picnic in the shade. The guys looked after us really well. Food cooked on an open fire, beautiful starry night skies and amazing views
