Rum Stars is located 10km, INSIDE THE WADI RUM PROTECTED AREA, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fully licensed and accredited, we are proud to hold one of only 15 permits issued to host guests at real Bedouin Camp within the protected area, and we are fortunate to have shared this with guests for 15 years now. We truly LOVE our desert! We have modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, solar electricity for lights and hot water. Our tents are furnished with new, mid-luxury bedding and new double panned glass/screen windows so you can view the desert right from your comfy bed. The location itself is stunning and sits right at a mountain base. We have a large outdoor stone seating area complete with tables decorated with mosaics of desert rock, and a main "living room" style tent at the center of our camp where everyone sits enjoying Bedouin Tea around the fire, before a delicious dinner. We look forward to welcoming you to the Wadi Rum and sharing the life of the Bedouin with you!

Bravo Ali and his team for giving our family an outstanding and truly spiritual experience in Wadi Rum. The camp is excellent in all respects and the tours on our two days were very good. Ali, Ridda and Audi proved excellent hosts, in different ways, and you get a strong sense of a very well run ship with a willing and helpful crew. My only EBI comments are that walking up Jordan’s highest mountain (a stiff ascent of around 700m) might not have been done in the heat of the midday sun. Also some of the standard sites on the first day were rather busy with selfie-mad tourists and I wonder if asking guests what sort of places they want to visit by preference might be an idea. For me, simply driving slowly through such a remarkable and mesmerising landscape in the back of a Landcruiser would have been happily sufficient and the lovely snoozes after (excellent) lunches of kofta stew in the shadow of sandstone outcrops were absolute bliss.

Ahmed and his team run the best camp in Wadi Rum. I have stayed there at least 6 times over the last 2 years and have tried both the basic tent and the luxury en-suites. The basic tents are very comfortable but can be too hot so I'd advise Europeans to go for the luxury ones with air conditioning a large comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom, unless travelling in winter. All is spotlessly clean and uber comfortable. The evening meal is cooked in the desert in 'Zarb' style underground, and is delicious with lots of salad and non-meat options. Breakfast is Arabic style so the only cooked offereing is omelette, but it is plentiful and very tasty. I'd suggest you take the half-day jeep tour with overnight stay as they most economic option - you will see the best of Wadi Rum. You can even opt for a camel ride at an additional cost.

Amazing experience, the camp is a wonderful oasi in the middle of the desert, we had an amazing traditional dinner and then sat by the fire drinking beduin tea. Tents are spacious, common bathroom are clean and well kept. The daily tour took us across the desert to some of the most amazing spot, ending the day with an unforgettable sunset. Highly recommended!

I was there for 2 nights 3 days. It was the best experience out of all the trips I have done. The place is very clean and well maintained. Most importantly were the people there and how much they make you feel comfortable and welcome. The best part at the camp was that after dinner you were sitting by the fire, enjoying the tea and having a great conversation with the host and travelers from around the world. At the same time, you can see the stars right above you covering the sky. You feel very peaceful there. Following their day trip into the desert, the sceneries were so amazing that you were just enjoying every moment there. The guide who showed you around always makes sure you enjoyed the time, have enough water, and catch the moment. My experience at the camp and the people I met gave me the greatest joy. I

The surroundings are breathtaking. The camp is inside the reservation. At night you can enjoy the silence and stars and during the day you can enjoy the imposing dessert with its beautiful cliffs and rocks. I was a bit sick during my stay and the Bedouin people from the camp did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible: even retrieving my booths I forgot in the car at the village. There hospitality is warm and genuine. They have a calm energy which transfers to you and it is obvious they love there land. I can highly recommend a stay at wadi rum stars camp. The bed was comfortable and clean and the food was plentiful and njammmmm.

What can I say, the Wadi Rum experience in the desert in a Bedouin camp was one of the best experiences in my life. Ali, his brother, Abdul, and all the crew were all very nice and welcoming. All the different sites we visited in the desert were breathtaking. We booked a night in the ‘basic’ tend and it was really good! Mattress, duvet and all very comfortable. The toilets/other facilities were clean and I felt at home to be there with them. The Bedouin food was also amazing! Ali and the cook showed us how they cook the veggies/meat underground and this tasted really good! We also spent the evening around a fire and listened to all the stories Ali and his brother were telling us about the Bedouin life/traditions. This is the place to go!

We had a fantastic evening drinking the and sharing histories at the fire with Ahmed and Ridah. As we were the only ones for the trip we had one full day with Ridah🥰He took us all places mentioned plus a few more which he loved. He made ud climb places i never thought i would 🙈🥰 he cooked lunch for us and shared his history and told us so much about the desert and the beduins. He also made us sing the Danish national hymn out in the middle of the desert. Wauw what an exceptionel day🙏🏻 all the people we have met in Jordan have been absolutely positive and welcoming - especially Ridah on Wadi I would 100% go with Rum stars if i return one day⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We spent 21 days travelling through Jordan in order to visit as much as possible and experience real Jordan interacting with locals. During our trip we spent two nights amd two days in Rum Stars Camp. We had booked a two days tour with jeep called Jebel Umm Adami. It was absolutely marvellous. Very easy to get there. After registering at the visitors' centre we directly drove to their larking in the village of Rum. Left the car there and jumped on a jeep. First day was a more touristic tour to visit the classic highlights such as Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon... we were particularly interested in petroglyphs sites and Abdul, our driver was very flexible and showed us many interesting sites. Lunch was prepared by the driver in the desert at some shadowy location and we could relax a bit before continuing our discoveries. Before going to the camp we went to a nice location to see the sunset but it was veiled and we could not see it. We drove then to the camp, very confortable, excellent food, very clean tents... it felt like paradise. Next morning after a good breakfast we were driven in the desert for more than one hour to the border of Saudi to hike the highest Jordan Mountain, Jebel Umm Adami. It is a wonderful excursion, maybe not for everyone since it is quite steep, but definitely worth it. Then we crossed Wadi Sabet, visited Daghdagh and enjoyed amazing views of that remote part of Wadi Rum. We then went back to the sunset point, were offered tea and were lucky to attend a wonderful sunset. At the camp, Ahmed was waiting for us for dinner and later we had a nice chat around the fire, under the stars. In the morning we were driven back to the village and that was the end of an amazing experience. I highly recommend Rum Stars Camp. Top top top!!!

We did a one day one night Rum Stars tour of Wadi Rum in mid-April. The tour is highly recommended and included visits to a number of sights in the desert during the day. This was followed by a stop at an isolated location to view the sunset. We spent the night at the wonderful camp in the desert which is in a beautiful location and the food provided was very tasty. The tents in the camp are of a high standard and come with lovely views. Our guide and driver, Yousef, was excellent and cooked lunch and provided tea for us. Everybody involved was very helpful. I would highly recommend doing a Rum Stars tour when visiting Wadi Rum!
