Rum Stars is located 10km, INSIDE THE WADI RUM PROTECTED AREA, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fully licensed and accredited, we are proud to hold one of only 15 permits issued to host guests at real Bedouin Camp within the protected area, and we are fortunate to have shared this with guests for 15 years now. We truly LOVE our desert! We have modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, solar electricity for lights and hot water. Our tents are furnished with new, mid-luxury bedding and new double panned glass/screen windows so you can view the desert right from your comfy bed. The location itself is stunning and sits right at a mountain base. We have a large outdoor stone seating area complete with tables decorated with mosaics of desert rock, and a main "living room" style tent at the center of our camp where everyone sits enjoying Bedouin Tea around the fire, before a delicious dinner. We look forward to welcoming you to the Wadi Rum and sharing the life of the Bedouin with you!

Wadi Rum has been the best part of the whole Jordan week, and Rum Stars Camp definitely made it.
The location is inside the protected area (many camps in the Wadi Rum are out of it, closer to the village and the road), offering the real immersion experience in the desert.
Ali, his brothers and the guys have been so kind and welcoming us in their home, owning that part of the desert since generations and was amazing to listen to their stories around the fire and under the stars.
We booked two of the five new exclusive “luxury tents”, really worth the stay. They are cared in details, has a private bathroom with huge shower, large window in front of the bed from where we enjoyed stars and view, an amazing wooden patio where to enjoy unforgettable moments like the sunrise in the picture. Not easy to give such a comfortable experience, keeping anyway the authenticity and immersion factor.
The jeep tour through the desert was amazing, funny, impressive. The breakfast and dinner great... and so beautiful to chat with authentic local Bedouins around a fire.
I was asking myself what we’ve been living there so intensively, and I think the reply is: love. Love for this place, values and life.
Really among top stays among all our travels around the world, best in Wadi Rum, we’ll definitely come back to spend more days.

Did two nights here during our odyssey around Jordan and loved it! The accommodation is basic but perfectly comfortable, there are toilets and showers available and mealtimes were a real treat too with some delicious traditional food. All the Bedouin staff here were lovely - there are differing levels of English - but they were all very sweet and eager to help. We did the all-day jeep safari which was just stunning and our guide Abdul was just superb; a lovely guy who was a mine of information about Bedouin culture. Highly recommend this unique experience.

I stayed here with some friends during February, the staff especially Ahmed were very kind and welcoming.
The Rum stars camp we stayed in was very clean, the tent was nice and warm even though the temperature during the night was quite cold.
I definitely recommend this camp for your stay at the beautiful wadi rum desert.

We (my two sons and I) spent half a day touring round Wadi Rum with the Rum Stars guides and it was such an incredible start to our Jordan trip. We stayed overnight in the camp which was cosy, clean & comfortable and we really loved the food (cooked underground in the traditional Bedouin style). The next morning we enjoyed a two-hour camel ride back to the village which the kids absolutely loved. One of the best things about Rum Stars is that it’s in the heart of Wadi Rum (unlike other camps). The team are so incredibly friendly too. It was an unmissable couple of days.

Liked · The executive rooms we booked, and the location, are absolutely stunning. We loved the outdoor swinging bed, the sunrise view, hot water in the room, and availability of charging outlets. Our older son wasn't feeling well, and the staff were very kind to him, which we greatly appreciated.
Disliked · The food wasn't great and largely made up of western style cold salads (coleslaw, potato salad). There wasn't WiFi in the main area as advertised. The noise from the common area carried throughout the camp late into the night, and kept us up after a long day in the dessert. As the tents are made of canvas, I would've appreciated a noise curfew. Finally, the cost of the tour available through the Camp was meaningfully higher (30 JD per person) than than what you can access from the Visitor's Center (67 JD per car - which can hold up to 8 people).

Dear Rahul, Thank you for your comment, we will try to improve our buffet. About the noise, we don't understand as the camp is in the middle of the desert and it's very quiet. Usually, the people go to sleep around 10:30pm but it can happen if there was a group of people. But they will not bother people the all night. About the price of the tour, we offer a better quality tours than the ones offered by the Visitor Center. You can see all the main sites of the protected area, and our guides speak english. Best regards, Rum Stars Team

We spent 21 days travelling through Jordan in order to visit as much as possible and experience real Jordan interacting with locals. During our trip we spent two nights amd two days in Rum Stars Camp. We had booked a two days tour with jeep called Jebel Umm Adami. It was absolutely marvellous. Very easy to get there. After registering at the visitors' centre we directly drove to their larking in the village of Rum. Left the car there and jumped on a jeep. First day was a more touristic tour to visit the classic highlights such as Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon... we were particularly interested in petroglyphs sites and Abdul, our driver was very flexible and showed us many interesting sites. Lunch was prepared by the driver in the desert at some shadowy location and we could relax a bit before continuing our discoveries. Before going to the camp we went to a nice location to see the sunset but it was veiled and we could not see it. We drove then to the camp, very confortable, excellent food, very clean tents... it felt like paradise. Next morning after a good breakfast we were driven in the desert for more than one hour to the border of Saudi to hike the highest Jordan Mountain, Jebel Umm Adami. It is a wonderful excursion, maybe not for everyone since it is quite steep, but definitely worth it. Then we crossed Wadi Sabet, visited Daghdagh and enjoyed amazing views of that remote part of Wadi Rum. We then went back to the sunset point, were offered tea and were lucky to attend a wonderful sunset. At the camp, Ahmed was waiting for us for dinner and later we had a nice chat around the fire, under the stars. In the morning we were driven back to the village and that was the end of an amazing experience. I highly recommend Rum Stars Camp. Top top top!!!

We have been at Rum Stars Camp with friends and our 12 years old son.
The Camp is situated inside the wonderful Wadi Rum Desert and everything about the tour was perfectly organised.
The staff and Ahmed have been all very kind and friendly and they cooked a great dinner.
The tent was cosy, very clean and warm. I would say that everything was perfect and surrounded by an amazing view of the Red Desert.
We definitely recommend Rum Stars Camp!

This was aha absolutely fabulous stay, with all of our needs taken care of. We arrived and were promptly met in Wadi Rum village by two people from the camp who loaded our bags into their jeep and ferried is to the camp site.
We were met with tea and showed our rooms which were very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were excellent with clean loos, hot and cold water and good shower pressure.
Supper on both nights was a combination of traditionally cooked Bedouin food and a buffet, both were delicious and we were allowed to watch the final stages of the Bedouin cooking process. Breakfast was very tasty with another buffet and an omelette station, omelettes cooked perfectly.
Throughout the stay we were welcomed into the tea tent where we chatted with our hosts and learned about Wadi Rum and the Bedouin culture and history. The tea was plentiful and delicious and we were never left wanting for anything.
We also took a jeep tour, set up by the camp which was excellent, visiting all sites of note in Wadi Rum and including a traditional Bedouin lunch. It finished with a beautiful sunset before taking us back to the camp for supper.
10/10 would recommend this camp, the staff go above and beyond and make you feel most welcome:

We had a fantastic evening drinking the and sharing histories at the fire with Ahmed and Ridah. As we were the only ones for the trip we had one full day with Ridah🥰He took us all places mentioned plus a few more which he loved. He made ud climb places i never thought i would 🙈🥰 he cooked lunch for us and shared his history and told us so much about the desert and the beduins. He also made us sing the Danish national hymn out in the middle of the desert. Wauw what an exceptionel day🙏🏻 all the people we have met in Jordan have been absolutely positive and welcoming - especially Ridah on Wadi
I would 100% go with Rum stars if i return one day⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An incredible experience that I couldn’t recommend more!
We booked the ‘classic Bedouin tour’ which includes a whole day 4WD tour of the various desert sites plus overnight stay in a Bedouin camp, all for 65JD (which is very reasonably priced compared to some of the other operators which I understand offer a similar experience).
The Wadi Rum desert is absolutely spectacular and a must see on any trip to Jordan, and the Rumstars tour was the perfect way to experience it. The Bedouin guides were all incredibly welcoming and we were in excellent hands.
The ‘camping’ accommodation is a permanent site with static tents and a toilet/shower block. Delicious homemade lunch, dinner and breakfast all included.
Note: we went in February and it was quite cold - 13 and sunny/cloudy with a breeze during the day, down to 5/6 at night, so bring a jumper, scarf and a thick fleece or coat if you’re coming in winter.

I guess that they will help you with the way you like it. They are really nice and helpful. I did camel ride back in Morocco and it hurts afterwards. 1-2h is enough I believe
