In the middle of the biblical desert, lies this beautiful village like Beresheet hotel, on the verge of the breath taking Ramon crater. We spent the weekend with the whole family, celebrating 80th birthday of my father in law. Service was excellent from the start, the staff is super attentive, very interested in keeping you satisfied and content. But what makes this hotel so special is the breath taking view of the desert and the crater. No wonder they named this hotel Beresheet, which is the biblical hebrew word for Genesis, as it actually seems like the exact place where the world was created. We will definately come back!

My 2nd time there. My first time a 5 star rating but now only 1 star ... Why? Should have been an awesome vacation...But: So just be warned: if you are looking for the SILENCE of a top spa hotel like The Carmel Forest Resort or Eilat Vitalis, you might be there for a bad surprise, meaning as unlucky as we where. Babies and children are allowed to stay there, which is wonderful for them and their parents, but then the atmosphere is not of a Spa, but much more of a kindergarten, which again is a wonderful thing, but not for everyone. This was particularly felt in the dining room where babies were crying a lot, and at the pool where children were playing almost all the time and of course making a lot of noise. You might expect a desert like silence, especially when you dive in the breathtaking views form the infinity pool (look at the pic), but we were not so lucky and actually we were obliged to leave the hotel during the day to get some quiet, some silence, some of the Negev experience. Exactly the same as in the dining room ( (look at the pic of our table with the view)...So much baby crying...what a waste of special moments Besides there were some not so enjoyable events that somehow spoiled our stay and here some of them, right from the beginning. Strike 1: Our luggage was supposed to be brought to my room: we didn't need it and I wanted to take it myself (light cabin luggage) but Omer was so insistent to take it that we agreed. He also promised it will be waiting in our room while we were checking in done. Trusted him, shouldn't have, since it did not happen. I Must point out that Albania at the reception did a perfect check in, thanks Albania (did I spell it right ?) Then Akiva took us then to our room, all good so far ... But then no luggage in our room... We can't change gear to go to the pool or for a walk, so we wait and wait and wait... Loosing patience I call room service: Betty understood the problem and promised that they'll bring my luggage in "a few minutes" Nothing happened, phoned again and then Tamar promised "immediately" Nothing happened, again so I went back, by foot ... to find it at the reception ...waiting for ....I don't know for what since it was just by the bell boys. So I took it myself and walked all the way back to my room in the heat of June. Why ? why waste so much precious vacation time for something so trivial ? Why make me loose patience and spoil the very 1st day ? You know what they say about a 1st impression ? Strike 2 (the morning after): Knock knock on my door at 8:30AM...waking me up... to make my room, seriously? Couldn't you wait ? This is supposed to be a holiday Strike 3 (right after at breakfast): You can't get yourself your coffee in the dining room but you have to ask a waitress It is just that after 25 minutes, after we had finished all our dishes and after asking 2 different other waitresses nothing happened, no coffee. Until a supervisor heard me raising my voice, annoyed, and then took things in hand and after 3 minutes I finally had my cappuccino, which after all is, for me at least, the most important part of my breakfast. The cappuccino was indeed beautiful (look at the pic), with a palm tree it, beautiful... but cold. I had to return it and wait again.Nothing is really easy, more than half an hour to have coffee. So to summarize it: Cons Children crying and playing all around which for us was not such a wonderful thing. If you look for a quiet atmosphere, this is not the best place, better other resorts Flies, yes relentless flies, we had them all the time at the pools (didn't remember that from 2 years ago) Btw there are ways to minimize it Pros Besides all my previous cons, all the rest was outstanding: the room, the food, they put some personal touch to make you happy like popcorn in the hotel movie theater or complimentary sun screen available at the pool. The views are unbelievable, I took the time to attach many pictures of the hotel's grounds. There so many pictures of the rooms already that I tried to attach different ones, a superb aspect of the Hotel, its grounds, trees, flowers, butterflies, and of course the deer... So why only 1 star rating? Well, something surprised me on this site: I read the other terrible reviews and it appears that the hotel management doesn't care that much since no explanation at all was supplied to the bad experiences. So it seems that after all if the Hotel Management doesn't read or care what we think and write here, how could they know what needs improvement ?

This is such a special place. Aside from the fact that it's a first-class 5-star luxury hotel, it's situated in such a gorgeous, serene, special location overlooking the Ramon crater. We truly felt transported, and so relaxed. The service, food, room, and pool were all amazing. I highly recommend getting a room with a crater view and private pool so you get the full experience. The hotel was also great about helping us book tours, like a jeep tour of the crater, a yoga class overlooking the sunrise, and a stargazing tour at night. Definitely do the stargazing tour, it was an incredible experience. Can't wait to go back here. Highly highly recommend!!

Our fourth year in a row. We love it...the food, the atmosphere, the gym, the movie theatre, our family "villa"with a pool and so on. We'll be back. Gained close to 10 pounds in 6 days even though I was very active.
