We spend the last weekend at Chan Hashayarot - a group of 13 families. The place is clean and welcoming, toilets and showers are clean all the time, plenty of hot water in showers, which is very important in the cold desert's nights. We had our own tent and plenty of place inside and outside for fire and cooking, without...

I was there for the meteor night, arrived with a group of friends and was welcomed by a very nice receptionist who gave us explanation about everything we needed to know. We stayed at a beduin tent and i was very impressed by the cleanliness of this place. Public showers and toilets were immaculate. .Dinner and breakfast were delicious and...

This was my second time staying at this camp. The food was just as great as I remember, as was the hospitality. You learn some good stuff about Bedouin life, get to ride some camels (before dark), then can enjoy a bon fire. We wandered off away from the lights to get a great view of a pitch black sky....

Nice stay, nice people (5 stars!), great area. Seemingly even greater for big groups. Nice to sleep in Beduin style tents, although you should like the smell of goats and are less picky about hygiene. Nice to hear some camel groans at night.

Chan hashayarot Is a lovely Bedouin tent with a lot of treditional activities such as camel riding with amazing view, treditional food at dinner, real hand made tent, etc... It is a very nice experience and I strongly recommend it to those of you who have a car to get there because there isn't other comfort way to get there.

43 of us in the tour group stayed for 1 night in 1 huge tent. One night here is more than enough. Pros: - the shared toilet nearest the indoor dining area (about 8 metres away from our tent) looked very new and recently renovated. It was brightly lit, clean, had plenty of cubicles and hot water. - the camel...

We stayed there for a desert off-road activities. On the morning of the second night, we were horrified to find out that our motorcycles were stolen. The owner was unwilling to assist and was literally hiding and not taking responsibility. Furthermore, the owner deleted the time the theft occurred from the security camera recording. We had to file a formal...

We stayed for one night and had one of the big tents to ourselves, a party of 5 adults and 4 young children. For me there were almost no surprises, thanks to the previous reviews. The kids loved the morning camel ride (recommended), playing around the tent and the campfire. The weather was good, not too chilly at night with...

we went on a family trip to the desert, we chose this Chan because it looked very athentic on the internet. The people there were nice but the rooms are very basic and not very well maintained. the big tents are nice but full of dust and sand, maybe thats normal for the desert. we also payed 300 shekels per...
