You will find this hotel a true home for home. beside being so traditional and old, kourosh hotel has all modern comfort and the staff saw to all our wants.specially Mohammad who is hotel,s proprietor and we were received by him very kindly. one of this hotel,s plus points is that it is very central. it is a downtown hotel, An old house which reminds you of past days, specially the pool in center of the yard and courts all around it. kourosh hotel has a perfect atmosphere notably on evenings with the lights on!

Located in the old part of town and a few steps away from an excellent teahouse, Kourosh hotel offers quick access to most main attractions of Yazd. The staff are super helpful. I recommend choosing the room located on the last floor with access to a roof terrace offering a beautiful view over the old part of this amazing desert town. Toilets were clean but need a little renovation. At least they are western style, which is not so common in traditional places. All in all, a very positive experience.

Very centrally located, intimate, traditional guesthouse. Staff very friendly, most speak some English, some excellent. Relaxed setting where nice central courtyard has several lounge benches to relax. Twin room cost us 50 USD (during Nowruz). Room had nice size, but looked tired and needs an update. Single bed mattress desperately needed to be replaced. Despite that, the place had good character and would return. Breakfast limited, but good enough, the usual, and gets served rather than buffet. Place was much more quiet at night than other traditional hotels we stayed at. Wifi good.

After 10 days of nothing but good experiences and nice accomodations, most for very reasonable prices (we're students after all) we arrived in Yazd. It was not very easy to find a room here, but we managed to get a booking at Kourosh hotel. The location of the hotel is nice, close to most sights. At first glance, the place looked pretty good (although the courtyard is quite sad compared to other places). However, the room was not nearly worth the money. It had a smelly, dirty bathroom with a crazy loud fan and a toilet that wouldn't flush. The beds were not nice either, you could feel (and hear) the springs that were poking through the matrass.
Still, we normally wouldn't have written a review for this place. However, one of the staff members convinced us otherwise. First, she was really pushy in trying to get us to book bus tickets through her (reading other reviews now, i'm glad we didn't). Later, at checkout we asked if we could pay in euros. She said that was no problem, and asked us to sit down while she calculated the amount (strange, this should be really straightforward). The amount she came up with implied an exchange rate about 15% lower than anything we had gotten before. In the end, we had to go to an exchange office to change our money to pay in Rials. We counted out the money, and left the place asap. Outside, the receptionist came running after us, claiming we had given a 5000 instead of 50000 note. We decided not to make a big deal out of it, since its such a small amount, but in hindsight it left a bitter aftertaste. Especially because we're absolutely sure we gave the right amount, with notes coming straight from the exchange office (no 5000's).
With so many nice hotels in Yazd, we would strongly advise to go somewhere else. And enjoy this wonderful city!

my family and i were at kourosh hotel for 3 nights
it was a nice place which its traditional architecture ( with lovely yard , nice trees around the pool ... ) made us more familiar with Iranians old houses and architecture ...
as it was so quiet , if you seek for a peaceful place to stay in , my suggestion is this hotel
the staff was so kind and polite and helped us in many things ...
beds was comfortable and although it was an old building our room was so clean...
since it locates in the historical part of the city everywhere we wanted to visit was near and reachable
if you wanna enjoy visiting yazd city, my suggestion is this hotel .

At the perfect location of the old city we were offered a room facing the amazing and quiet courtyard . we had a very relaxing stay though it was so crowded . Rooms are so comfortable and staffs helped us several times specially to make reservations . They booked some bus tickets by telephone for us which we had to go to the main station , pay for it and then get our ticket . anyway , it was so easy and practical for us .
Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant , the breakfast was so delicious and we enjoyed it
By the way , don't forget to have a look at the rooftop specially at the sunset , you will love it
I wish we had time to stay more at KOUROSH hotel

Hotel Kourosh is a good choice for your stay in Yazd, especially when you want to stay on budget. Although the room had only two beds, I was able to book it as a bed in a dorm room for 16 usd per night. It's an old place, completely in the style of the rest of Yazd and there's a nice courtyard. The young staff members are realy helpful and friendly. Location is good.

The Kourosh Hotel in Yazd has fans. It's really a nice hotel
In Shiraz we stayed at the Golshan hostel, they have fans as well.

We had dinner there and the hotel looked great and I think they have airco.
