I've never stayed at the Lakeview, only stopped there for a beer. It's the first watering hole on the trip up from Ubud. I cycle up at least once a year to prove to myself that I can still hack it. Unfortunately, Rp58,000 for a large Bintang seems a bit over the top, since I can get the same in...

Congratulations on making it up the hill! I used to do it regularly when I was a teenager, these days I tend to do the downhill with our guests. Glad you like the view as well. We've been amazingly lucky with the weather lately, it may be raining down in Ubud or the rest of Bali, but we seem to...

I have just spent a weekend celebrating a friends birthday at The Lakeview Hotel and had the most amazing time. The sun was glistening on the tranquil lake as we shared a picnic in the hills and Mount Kintamani was majestic through the clouds. The staff from the hotel guided s to our picnic spot and were incredibly helpful throughout...

It was a pleasure hosting you and your party. Thank you for bringing a different energy to our place. It was quite a pleasant change for some of us to still be up past ten PM. Our team is looking forward to hosting you on your next visit.

I can say Lake View Hotel has the best view among any other hotel in Kintamani. The view of Batur Mountain and Batur Lake is truly beautiful. The service is good and friendly. The new Danu Spa also offers a good relaxing massage. But, I think the foods quality still need to be improved. Overall, I always enjoy my stay in...

Thank you for your vote of confidence and constructive criticism. Due to kitchen renovations we've had to reduce our menu temporarily. This gives us a great opportunity to hone and perfect our signature dishes. We hope to have interesting daily specials this silly season to make up for the small selection. We'll be back with a full menu by April.

The hotel is perfect for one or two nights stay. It is simple yet clean and comfortable. I recommend eating at the hotel restaurant rather than the bigger "public" restaurant is not that good. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, the breakfast is delicious with home-made bread & jams...the ginger & lemongrass tea is a delight. It is a little...

The view of the volcano and lake is truly beautiful, but the location of the hotel right above a winding steep mountain road completely ruins the magic of the place. This is without a doubt the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Both nights we barely managed a couple of hours and in my book one pays one’s hard...

Thank you for your candid review, my heart goes out to your two nights of lost sleep. We can provide earplugs, but there's not much we can do about noise coming from the main road down to the lake which lies below the hotel. We have had some groups stay for a week, and some guests have stayed for an...

My husband and I spent two nights in a "Delux Room" - one twin, one double. We arrived to find out that the double [delux] room that we had booked in advance was unavailable. A twin [delux] and double standard were available, and we took the twin (better view and in the main, newer building) for one night and were...

Thank you for your candid review. We stopped accepting bookings from the *naughty* travel agent operating that website during the month of September and have managed to shut that site down to stop the mis-representation -- this URL now redirects to our website (and TripAdvisor also now has a link to our website). There are a lot of naughty agents...

Thanks for mentioning our home in the sky! We are glad you enjoyed your stay despite the rain and fog. When it come to views, this is rather unbeatable. View of Mt Batur right smack in the middle from the room, with the lake to the right, cool weather. Step out to the balcony at night to stargaze. Hello, thanks for the candid review. I've taken you seriously and have earplugs available at front office for light sleepers. They cost US$5 at the local chemist, though, once I sort out a good reliable source we'll have them available in every room with a carricature postcard book for inspiration to write to the Regent/Mayor of Bangli to do something...

There can be few places in the world grander than the giant's cup of the double caldera of Batur, and perched on the cusp of that giant's cup is Lakeview Hotel, Kintamani. The grand entrance hall with one side open to the volcanic splendour, the marble floors, the dining room complete with fireplace, yes a fireplace in Bali and you're...

Thank you for your lyrical account of your wonderful stay with us! It is very much appreciated. Thank you for your candid review. We are aware of the odor (smell) issue and have been doing everything we can to fix it.
