The Imperial Hotel & Resort Vung Tau is celebrated for its immaculate cleanliness and a mix of modern and antique elegance that harks back to a British colonial atmosphere, according to guests. While the hotel's service garners compliments for its professionalism, some visitors have encountered issues with customer care responsiveness. The rooms receive mixed reviews, with their cleanliness and decor being appreciated, yet some guests mention dampness and constrained space. Amenities such as diverse dining options and the blend of pool and beach access are consistently praised, despite some travelers questioning the hotel's overall value for money.

I really liked my experience here at the Imperial, the staff are very genuine and they are always willing to help and accommodate you. I had an initial issue when I had checked-in, but they were able to easily resolve the issue for me when I brought it up after I had checked in my room. The breakfast here is nice and has a big variety, and the facilities here are very clean. The elevators are also running constantly and not jammed (like at other hotels with a large influx of guests). I definitely recommend if you prefer a cleaner and private beach experience.

I stayed one night at the Imperial Hotel & Resort in October and was more than impressed. I was familiar with the hotel being the most famous in the city but this was my first stay and I have to stay it exceeded my expectations. The VIP bus from HCMC is a quality service and well organised. Check-in was smooth and staff were personal and professional. My room was in the original tower facing the pool. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with a balcony which was a real bonus. The body massage at the spa was very good, the price was reasonable for the quality and assurance of having a professional service and knowing what you're getting. Breakfast was busy but with a very good selection of choices there was always something tempting to try. The cafe in the hotel lobby is also a nice spot to relax anytime for a drink. There is a very good seafood restaurant and bar on the beach side, it seemed to have both hotel guests and locals there. The hotel has a private beach with swimming pool and dining options, plus there's another resort style pool at the hotel side. Would I return again... most definitely. Highly recommended. Tip: it is way better to have the beach resort experience in Vung Tau city so you can also enjoy the city than be on an isolated beach far from any facilities.

The hotel has good service, comfortable rooms, nice and clean swimming pool, delicious breakfast. My room has a balcony and sofa overlooking the pool. Seafood restaurant near the swimming pool on the sea side, the beach this time is calm and without big waves. I will come back here with my family in the near future. Thank you to the hotel and receptionists Thao and Yuri

The hotel is quirky, it feels like an 80’s casino inside, couldn’t fault the cleanliness for the most part even if things look a little tired. Staff were polite and facilitates ok. What I have issue with though is the music, there is a club connected to the front of the hotel, the heavy bass starts at around 21:30 every night and at it’s latest went past 2am, I thought maybe it was a weekend thing but this was on a Monday night as well, I had come for meetings. The hotel also closes the kitchen early, and when I mean closed this also includes room service or any food at all, 21:00 and you aren’t getting anything until breakfast, even the adjoining restaurant across the road had the kitchen closed by the same time on a weekend night, I’ve never stayed in a five star hotel that didn’t at least offer a cold room service menu. Then there was the smell, it had rained heavily and I think possibly parts of the hotel had flooded, but it flowed across the entire floor I was staying on like a body had expired and no one had discovered it yet, the team came to spray some deodorant but it hang heavy in the air and throughout my room by this point having seeped under the doors and through the AC.

By the end of my trip I could not wait to check out, in 20 years of global travel far and wide for work this hits a new low I’ve stayed in $10 hotels that did a better job. Fundamentals are a good nights sleep, a decent meal and a clean bed to sleep on, it delivered on the last but if you can’t sleep without noise cancelling headphones and a nose plug you are in trouble.

The hotel is done in traditional Victorian style and much more spacious than expected! Our room looked out over the ocean and even for a workaholic like me, our days were restful and rejuvenating. A Vietnamese friend said Vung Tao is really touristy and although it was, the beach was clean with private access for hotel guests, the staff was attentive and kind and the food was delicious. I think this place is perfect for families too. Wonderful pool!

This hotel is the absolute height of luxury. We were moved here as the place we had booked was a disaster. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The Heritage hotel where we stayed has a great location across the road from the beach with a foot bridge to cross the road above the traffic. The inside of the hotel is a work of art to say the least. There is a great little bar offering snacks. There is also the main restaurant beachside where there is also another swimming pool & Beach club. The main pools are great with quite a large lap pool. The breakfast buffet was fantastic as well. I can't say enough good things about this hotel other than to highly recommend.

We booked this hotel for our guests, who specifically chose it because it was advertised as a 'beach' hotel. Upon arrival, they encountered a large-scale government construction project that completely blocked access to the beach. The hotel never reported this significant issue, and had they done so, our guests would have selected a different accommodation. As a result, they had to stay for only one night and we had to relocate them to another hotel. We requested that The IMPERIAL Hotel & Resort refund the unused nights, but they denied our request and did not take responsibility for the situation. Despite our guests being in a difficult predicament, the hotel's customer service has been unresponsive to our messages and complaints. I strongly advise against staying at a hotel with such poor customer care. A hotel that claims to be a beach destination and fails to provide that experience is misleading and untrustworthy.

Excellent service. The care taker cleans the area very often to maintain its cleanliness and safe for kids. She is good with kids, watches and plays the kids very well. I impress with her kindness and professionalism. She is a good asset to the team.
Overall, my daughter and I had such a good experience here.

Terrible hotel. 5*beach resort… but the beach isn’t available due to construction. The hotel didn’t notify us of that when booking and refused a refund. The decor is bizarre and dated. There was a damp smell in our room, which despite us paying for additonal space, was tiny. There was hardly any light in the bathroom, there was lights set into the ceiling but no switch and the toilet cubicle has no light.

The pool was poorly maintained and the whole place really needs an overhaul.

The staff were lovely however, more as they are made to wear ridiculous colonial costumes, or awful French maid style outfits for the housekeeping.

It’s not 5* and is not a beach resort. There are much better hotels nearby at a fraction of the cost.

A very disappointing booking and I do not recommend that you go there.

I visited with my friends on 5th December and we reached around 2.45 PM for chedin , the hotel didn’t knew we had booked sea facing room and they took more than an hour to give us room by 415 Pm. We were held back when we were told that casino of hotel is closed until further notice and nothing was mentioned on there hotel website. To further our poor experience was the closed private beach club of hotel for guest as there was some wedding taking place . We tried again n3xt day in morning and were told that today there is some private music concert. The hotel do not have room service and it’s pretty uneasy at night if you need anything you need to order through grab. To provide icing on the cake was there night club which was supposed to be closed by 3 am. But when we reached at 1115, th3 staff was packing. Totally wasted experience in terms of time, money . Plan to stay at some other hotel than this as they still need some learning to excel in hospitality sector.

Dear Mr. Rajat, I appreciate you sharing your constructive feedback about your recent stay. We apologise if your experience did not meet your expectations. During this festive season, there was a private event at the beachside pool so that area was temporarily reserved for the event. We fully understand your point and also note the hotel has other pools at the pool garden which are available for the enjoyment of our guests. Due to your later than expected check-in, the reception team recognised this and offered you a late checkout to provide you with more time to enjoy your stay. Regarding the nightclub, there is a club nearby the hotel but it is not part of nor managed by the hotel. We have noted your feedback and shared with relevant departments for continuous improvement. We look forward to another opportunity to welcome you back in the future to experience our standards of quality that we are sure will meet your expectations. Thanks and best regards, BeBe Yen Nguyen (Ms.) Assistant Front Office Manager.

If there is such a requirement, I don’t think the hotel would be in business. However, check with customer service prior to booking a room at The Imperial Hotel so there is no confusion.
