Thank you so much to Rudy for your communication and help organising our stay before we arrived and a big thank you to Lien, Nam and her daughter for their kindness, generosity and help during our stay. The guesthouse is in a lovely quiet street not too far from restaurants and shops and train station. The rooms are generous and... More

Lien and Rudy were the perfect hosts for our stay in Ninh Binh. They run a lovely guest house on a quiet side street, just minutes from numerous local restaurants. We chose to eat at the guesthouse several nights. The food was comforting and delish! Our room was spacious, clean and met our every need. Our favorite spot in the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. This place is very well equipped. Breakfast, Cold a/c. They also have bikes for rental. Good price at about $6 US a day. They also lock them during the night inside. Very good for the price you pay. Beds are comfy everything was clean. Would recommend to anyone people are very nice to talk to.... More

We were dropped by our bus somewhere on the main road and had a pleasant walk through the residential area to reach the guest house. We arrived too late to order dinner the first night but the second night we had an amazing set dinner. Breakfast was also great. Facilities were great for what we paid and very clean. Bed... More

Guesthouse is situated in a quiet side street, so here is quiet around. Rooms are clean and they are cleaned every day. Excellent working wi-fi. The feeling from the hotel as you at home. Delicious breakfast for only $ 2.5. No TV and this is big plus for us. But the most important thing is the staff. Firstly speak English.... More

Thanks for your review, we appreciate you took the time to write more than a few words to recommend us to other travelers. Our area, and Ninh Binh in general, is totally safe for tourists but it true local residents can't park motorcycles outside during the night. Some guys from the neighboring province across the river, sometimes come looking for... More

Room was basic as expected for the price but clean. Staff weren't very friendly when we arrived. We walked through the door then a woman was passed our key she huffed and walked off to our room. We weren't told that we had to order food in the afternoon, so when we headed down too eat we were told we... More

Dear Gaby, you arrived late in the evening and Liên had already gone to bed. Her 16 year old daughter brought you swiftly to the room. She doesn't speak more than two words of English and actually not works as staff. But she helps of course when the circumstances require it. In the morning you had no questions other than... More

We spent two days at the guest house and found it a " home away from home ". Kim was very friendly and most helpful when it came time to take a tour in the countryside. Her family members became our tour guides for the day...sitting on the back of a scooter as we flew through the countryside was magical... More

Kim Lien Guesthouse was recommended to us by a staff member at Easy Tiger in Phong Nha. He suggested it because most of the places in the Tam Coc areas are tourist traps and that Kim offered a great place to stay. When we checked out her website, it not only seemed like a much better accommodation, but she provided... More

Thanks for your review. We appreciate it. Sorry about the bicycles, I wish we could offer something better for the price. I personally prefer to ask only one dollar but that isn't possible. They aren't ours and we can't find a better supplier. Strangely, bicycle rentals in Ninh Binh are higher than in most places in SE Asia. You won't... More

The room was just what we expected for this price, simple but clean and spacious! Good bathroom as well. A plus is the included breakfast, with a good choice of plates! I could order pancakes, which was a great plus since I don't like eggs, which they give everywhere in Vietnam. We stayed for 2 nights and got a driver... More

Dear Sofie, Thanks for your review and kind words. However, we need to correct you that breakfast isn't included in our room rate. You must have forgotten. We made this choice since not all people need breakfast. Contrary to what some travelers think, breakfast is never 'free'. The price is added to the room rate when it is included. It... More

It's a pretty cheap place to stay, so good value and very clean. Unfortunately the bed in our room was uncomfortable and mattress was misshapen, so we didn't get great sleep. Breakfast options were limited, but again good value. We hired a driver for the day through the guesthouse for the day which was great for seeing the sights, but... More

We rarely get a three point review. The comment 'cheap', suggests that these travelers are used to hotels in a higher price category. The man of the couple was cheerful, but the lady looked moody when she got out of the taxi on arrival. The comment that we are 'cheap' and that the bed isn't comfortable confirms our suspicions. True,... More
