Great location, very good food, clean and cosy. This is the perfect choice in Buchara, located only a few hundred meters away from the main attractions of the old city on one side and the shops on the other side, this Property provides all you need for your stay in Buchara. Would definitely choose it again when back to this beautiful city.
Located in the heart of old Bukhara near the square this is the perfect place to walk around Bukhara. Helpful staff, spacious and well thought out interiors/ rooms. Free WiFi and comes with free breakfast would recommend
Room was very very spacious and windows allowed natural sunlight to brighten the room. Breakfast was decent with slightly different food every day. Location was very central and easy to find. Unfortunately wifi connectivity in our room was weak, perhaps because we stayed in the corner room.
Traveling to Uzbekistan I was so worried about accommodations since being used to my western standards. This trip was important to me because it was my first time in Uzbekistan exploring my heritage with my husband and three children and Bukhara was where my ancestors were from. This hotel helped make this a magical experience. It is quiet, comfortable and clean and but the best part was it’s location. Located in a beautiful quiet street in the old town, it was walking distance to all the important sights and close to restaurants. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful and didn’t mind the energy my kids brought to the place. Thank you Hotel Malika for helping make our visit so beautiful and we can’t wait to return.
Location - excellent . Walking distance to everything in the old city . On a quiet pedestrian street , closest spot where cars can pull up to only about a 30 second walk from The hotel The rooms - I was assigned a room on the second floor which was clean but charmless . In late November, I had problem getting the room to be comfortably warm no matter how high I turned the heating up. My parents had a room on the ground floor that was spacious and charming . The free WiFi worked ok. Breakfast - probably the best in all the hotels I stayed at in Uzbekistan. Cool dining room , good selection at breakfast. The staff - by far the WORST , compared to all the other hotels in Uzbekistan. Most of the time , they acted like they really don’t care. The worst incident was at check out . So my dad had a little mishap in the bathroom . In the middle of the night , he dropped a glass onto the sink . Strangely enough, the glass did not break , but the drop led to a big hole in the sink ( one can only imagine what kind of flimsy material the sink must be made of ). As a result , he sustained a small laceration to his finger ( no big deal). The following afternoon , the staff at the hotel replaced the whole sink. At check out , we were told we had to pay for the cost of the sink replacement. The check out staff was unsympathetic and cold. Yes , it was my dad’s fault for dropping the glass , but the sink must have been made of really crappy material if the glass didn’t break but the sink broke from the drop of a glass. The hotel staff was not the least bit kind about a mishap that happened to a senior citizen guest. By western standard , the customer service was completely unacceptable. Ok I was in Uzbekistan, and they have their own rules and laws . But come on , don’y they want to catch up to the rest of the world and attract more tourists ? After all , the sights there are amazing .... Do NOT stay at Malika Bukhara if you care about decent customer service …
