⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Clean, friendly service, comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet should include more options for vegans, but there was fresh fruit and veggies. Would have enjoyed a soup option. But buffet was hot and yummy.
The property is really beautiful and well-maintained, offering modern comfort and traditional Asian style. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was spacious and perfectly clean. The staff was kind and nice. The resort can arrange pick up from Sukhothaï airport or any other journey on request. It's roughly 15 min walking distance from Sukhothai Historical Park. However one unpleasant thing to say regarding the lady who seems to be the main manager. She was efficient but quite bossy toward the staff and we are meant to wonder if she was trying to make money on us. Everything had to be paid straight by cash. When we require the free bike rental, unless another staff was here, we would haven't had our deposit back. Apart from this event, overall a wonderful stay.
The hotel is set on a large site and it has some very attractive and stylish aspects. We loved the artwork in the room and the lobby. The huge, old carved wooden doors at various locations gave a feeling of past grandeur. The place was spacious and had a long ornamental pool running the length of the front rooms. There was also a massive bar/ seating area, leading to a large restaurant (more huge carved wood doors) with a generous outside seating area. Our room was large, with huge wooden doors leading to a patio overlooking the ornamental pool. We loved the style of this place. We found it very peaceful and relaxing.
The room is spacious with Northern Thai/ Chinese style. Very quiet and relaxing. The room has a nice garden view with a terrace. Nice to sit outside. The bathroom is also spacious. The entrance hall and the bedroom is separated with a light curtain. The breakfast was OK. There are bicycles for rent, which is a must in Sukhothai. The TV did not work but has wifi. The room is a bit dark, so not for business, but excellent for a holiday. It takes only ten minutes by bicycle to the historical park, so one can enjoy both the sunset and sunrise (recommended to go during sunset. But going in the early morning is also good before it gets too hot). The room had shampoo, conditioner and bath gel, but no toothbrush/paste and shower cap. So better to bring these yourself.
Stayed for a couple of nights in the Thai house section of the resort. It’s called Dorm of Happiness but it’s actually rooms in a restored old Thai house. Prices are much lower than the standard rooms at the resort, and the bathrooms are not attached to the rooms. It’s very charming. Enjoyed the beautifully decorated resort and the wonderful swimming pool. Breakfast was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the historical park.
