There's not much to do around, it's only a market near but they're english it's very shortage. The public bus to Old Sukhothai only takes you 15 minut We like to stay in bungalows so this was a good option; we choose a room with fan because we are ok with the heat, but they also have with AC; we enjoy sitting in the bungalow terrace; the WiFi was good although sometimes it got disconnected but it doesn't take long to get back. The public bus to Old Sukhothai only takes you 15 minutes walking. There's a mango tree on top of the bungalow and sometimes it catche us by surprise the mangos hitting the roof.

Sukhothai Guest House has an old fashioned Thai feel to it with it's wooden bungalows, tropical plants, and little stone walkways to each room. The room smelled fresh upon entering, but we noticed later that it could have been cleaned better (cobwebs, dusty, tile stains). We were supplied with a bar of soap, a roll of toilet paper, and towel. You'll need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner and washcloth. The room has a fan and an adjacent Thai styled wet bathroom that was outdated but working. The place was quiet and bed was firm and comfy, and we got a good night's sleep. We didn't eat here, but it looked like it had a full kitchen and even beers could be purchased onsite. Parking is right across the street. Within a block or two, there is a tasty hotpot restaurant that's opened late!

When we went to Sukhothai, it was the day of Loy Khratong and...we found only one room left: in Sukhothai Guest House! The place was nice, at 15min walk to the taxi station to get a songthaew to the old city, the room was "almost" clean and the breakfast good. Lots of mosquitoes outside though.

Showed up late and were told that the room we had booked was not available. Offered another room but they tried to charge us more that it cost online. Refused to refund the deposit. Stayed because it was late and we were super tired. Generally the people staffing the place are not helpful/defensive/passive aggressive. Would not stay here.
