When check in, first bad impression is that they don’t provide 2 keycards. When asked for they said no! How come when you stay with your friends and may come into room at different times, you have to disturb your friend to open it! Secondly, the bathroom did not provide hand towels! When asked for they said hotel provide only one towel! A 3 stars hotel still have 2-3 towels in bathroom. What stars is this hotel?
We loved staying at this resort. The staff were wonderful and the hotel had a fantastic pool. You can use the hotel bikes to ride to the temples and monuments. I would recommend staying here. The pool is great place to relax after going round the temples.
Location: is excellent if you come for the Historical Part - from the hotel you can either take a hotel-bike to reach the park, or alternatively drive to the part and rent a bike there for Bht30.- plus Bht.10.- to bring the bike into the park. Historical Park: Large and well maintained. Foreigners pay Bht.100.- and Thais Bht.30.- entrance fee. The park is so well groomed that it appears a bit sterile. We actually preferred the Si Chanalai Historical Park more as it sits in the middle of old trees and has a ''jungle feeling'' to it. Room Choice: This is most probably the most important aspect to note. The hotel is built as a square around a beautiful garden with a lily-pond in the middle. Please be aware THAT NO ROOM OVERLOOKS THIS GARDEN. The part of the buildings which overlook the inside garden are all corridors leading to the rooms. What a tragic mistake by the architect, truly hard to believe! So what is sold as ''Garden View'' is in reality rooms facing outwards, either against a wall, or parking area. If you want to have some view from your room, you will need to book a deluxe room (of which there are few) as these overlook the rice fields. Another design error appears to be the location of the air-conditioning in the room. The cold air blew directly onto the pillows, which forced us to sleep without aircon. Maintenance: Although the resort is only 4 years old, it has aged badly as there is an obvious lack of maintenance. As the room rates are higher than in excellent downtown Chiang Mai Hotels, there is no excuse - Covit or No Covit - for not to maintain the property. Staff: The staff throughout is most helpful and very friendly. The level of service is what one would expect from an upcountry resort.…
We went to Sukhothai a couple of times although only for 1 night we never took care of the hotel we were staying, as long as was clean. This time we looked at the hotel more carefully and found out that, as per reviews and comments, Sriwilai was the best one and we wanted to try it and we are so happy we did. The hotel is perfect to experience a full complete Thai experience, "thainess" that at the end is what Sukhothai is all about. The hotel is located closed to the historical park and since the arrival, the music, the gardens, the sounds, the decoration get you immerse in that feeling of satisfaction and gladness of being in Thailand at this very same moment and time. Sukhothai is an important representation of Thailand history and the hotel represents that glimpse of uniqueness of history. The rooms are spacious, ours was kind of dark but we agree that getting a room through an OTA is what we get, nevertheless the view to the lotus pond, the walk through the vegetation and the corridor and the pleasant swimming pool make you forget that the views from the window are not that nice. The bathroom is full of amenities, is that kind of hotel where if you forget your toilettries back home, you wont miss them. That pool is stunning overlooking the rice paddy fields and the clean open air with not skyscrapers, tall buildings, just nature. We will be back very very soon! Thank you…
What an awesome resort. Absolutely new and made with lot of passion and beauty in every way one wants to see a resort. Great architecture resonates the beauty of the Sukhothai Historical zone. Awesome rooms, big size with luxurious bed and over luxurious bathrooms. The best rooms have huge balcony with great views. If one wants to relax, this is the place to be. The staff is one of the best and special kudos to Reception team and the restaurant staff. Not to forget the Housekeeping team who does a great job without being visible. They have cycles for riding to Historical park and you need them if you want to complete the huge parks every point. The massage was the best i have ever had, and i get massage once a week. so you can rate them as best of the best therapists. overall Great resort and must must stay. …
