This hotel has good housekeeping and is relatively clean. The staff do not speak any English, you have to point and use hand gestures. The food items for Americans are attempts at the real thing, usually tainted with their effort to duplicate, but are mostly tolerable. I recommend eating elsewhere. You will not find much English spoken anywhere in Phitsanulok... More

This is a modern hotel which is situated next to the river. The staff was professional, friendly and efficient and ensured that checking in was a very smooth process. The room was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom met all expectations. Breakfast provided an adequate start to the day. I will stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Phitsanulok was one of the surprise packets of Thailand and well worth a couple of nights stopover. This older modern built hotel is serviceable if characterless. It's strengths include an excellent location by the river and some great casual bars, an easy walk from the lovely small train station, clean, spacious rooms and an OK breakfast on a large, pleasant... Decided to make an unscheduled stop in Phiseanlouk. Decided we wanted to be in the City Center. Check In was slow, as the Staff, dressed in traditional silk formal jackets, struggled to find my reservation. The room was small, clean, no grand river view as we were above the restaurant! Before walking to the Night Market, just across the Nan... More

Large hotel, clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms. Rather old fashioned art deco style interior with sweeping staircase rather like a 50's cinema,.but nicely done. Rooms nicely furnished. In common with many Thai provincial hotels, the breakfast is perfunctory, with the usual rubberised fried eggs, spam, boiled frankfurters and toasting machine as well the standard Thai options, dreadful coffee.. So not aimed... More

Phitsanulok is a good place to stay on the Bangkok-Chang Mai train route. It is about an hour away from Sukhotai by local bus. The Grand Riverside was perhaps the best place we stayed during our month in Thailand. It is easy to get to by foot (walk straight from the train station over the bridge and the hotel is... More

Very comfortable and close to the riverside bars and restaurants on the opposite bank of the river. It's not close to any notable attraction (temple, market, folklore museum) but tuk-tuks and taxis are numerous. We enjoyed our stay.

Located just over the road from central Phitsanulok this hotel offers good value. A bit sterile in atmosphere, never the less good comfortable quiet rooms and a decent breakfast for rural Thailand it would be difficult to get a better overall deal than this hotel
