Dear Mr. Steve, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Pai Village Boutique Resort. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Pai Village, we strive to provide a great service experience for every customer therefore, your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrences. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, would you mind giving me an explanation of how our staff, not a sincere apology and what the room rate we offered to you? However, I would like to clarify the proper information that you arrived at the resort at 13:55hrs. Unfortunately, since we were fully booked the night before and the arrival room was not ready as standard check-in on time we apologize for that but we tried our best to accommodate all the guests who arrives at our resort. And our staff who did check you in have told you to wait for the room about half an hour, then you will get the room. But when you went outside and came back to the resort was in the evening already. Would you mind Sincerely Yours, Wanpen Wongmuang Senior Front Office Manager

Very much in keeping with its surroundings, this hotel is superbly located to explore the town and the beautiful scenery all around. The individual chalets are situated in an appealing garden approached from the main building, over fish filled streams and walkways. Equipped with all you need, comfortable bed, clean contemporary bathroom, traditional decor, balcony and decorated in the traditional, local style. Breakfast is a really enjoyable experience and dinner was truly delicious. The staff add extra value by their friendliness, knowledge and enthusiasm. We loved every moment.

The hotel is perfectly located at the end of the walking street (daily night market) and the huts are located in a lush green garden, amidst many small water streams. Unfortunately, with the water come the mosquitos... Mosquitos in the morning, mosquitos in the afternoon, mosquitos at dinner. A net is provided in the hut, but it's still very frustrating not being able to spend a few minutes in the hammock, by the pool or at the dinner table without showering in DEET first. In addition, we had cockroaches in the bathroom and got to 'enjoy' a frog concert all night, every night. The shower head was fixed at an uncomfortable height of around 170cm and there wasn't much choice inbetween freezing cold and searing hot. Also, the bed was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was alright, yet basic. What really rubbed me the wrong way though, was the fact that their coffee was quite terrible, while they offered an option to purchase 'better' coffee (e.g. a Latte) for an additional 45 Baht. The pool is tiny and barely worth mentioning. All in all, the hotel wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't live up to its 4 star standards. It reminded me more of a camping trip than a luxury resort. If that's what you're looking for, then go right ahead. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what we had expected. In my opinion, it was bad value for the money we paid and therefore, we won't be returning to The Village!

I spent 6 nights at this location. A wonderful and comfortable place set in beautiful greenery, water pools with huge fishes. The cottages are unique, charming and cozy. I initially booked a cottage but changed to one of the rooms with a mountain view. I did this as I practice Qi Kong (Chi Kung) and needed space to do all of the exercise routines. The boutique is located in walking street and on the whole even with the bars and music I found it peaceful. Pen and the entire team are attentive, kind, supportive, charming and fun to speak to. They really do give you a personal service and make you feel comfortable. Rooms are well equipped and always full of complimentary water in glass (not plastic, so helping the environment) and other drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the food, had dinner a number of times and breakfast is included in the room/cottage rates.

We stayed for one night in a garden room. Although small there is everything in the room you need. Beds were really comfortable. They also provided mosquito coils on the balcony so you can sit out at night. It was no problem for them to replace this again and put an oil burner in side later in the evening so we could sit out when we returned from dinner. We would happily have stayed a second night, but we were touring the northern area and had pre-booked our accommodation.

Pai Village was a lovely stay for 5 nights. I had originally booked a Garden Bungalow. I’ll be honest I was very disappointed for the price. It was extraordinarily small (everything about it). In fact, I’m surprised a brand like this offers such an inferior room. I moved and paid the extra for a Village Bungalow which was quite comfortable with a good sized bathroom and also nicely decorated. Unfortunately initial impressions almost lost me, I had to wait to check in (arrived 12.45pm), a fairly average welcome with no welcome drink, enquired about tours and was told to go down the road to the taxi stand… then, the size of the garden room. Thankfully, things did improve with a room change and an attitude to just sort things out myself. The property is located right in town, it is well thought out, decorated tastefully and has a unique northern Thai charm. The breakfast staff were always friendly and a generous spread was offered each morning. The gardens are also meticulously maintained and truly beautiful although there are mosquitoes literally everywhere. They do spray and have repellent in your rooms but they can’t be avoided. Housekeeping were also exceptional.

Great location, walking distance to the walking street. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. Large portion size and tasty cocktails. The bungalow was well designed and loved relaxing on the hammock outside the room. But often get disturbed from hearing people walk past at night. The amenities in the room were excellent and housekeeping gave a top up of fresh fruit each day, sometimes even twice a day. The car park was a bit of an inconvenience as you cannot park in front of the hotel and park up the hill/across the river.

We chose this property mostly based on its good location. Easy to get around by foot to the central parts of Pai. We had also read about the greenery of this place, but even so we were positively surprised by the green lush environment. We had a bungalow at the back end of the property and being there was like being almost alone in nature. Very relaxing. And the breakfast was a pleasure to indulge in. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 5 days in a Boutique Village room which had a back to nature feel about them. On the first night we had a frog in the pond next to us bellowing his mating call all night like an out of tune Pavarotti. We decided it was either him or us and as he hadn’t found a suitable partner we decided to upgrade to a pool room. The pool rooms are the best with all the technology you will need to hand. I recommend the upstairs rooms so you don’t feel like your in a gold fish bowl. Staff are extremely helpful, breakfast has a good variety. We had a meal in the evening and to be quite honest it was stunning, full of flavour (rack of ribs). The serving times leave a little to be desired because they stop serving earlier than what was written on the board which was a little annoying. Over all it’s in the perfect position to walk around Pai with bars and restaurants out side the doors of the hotel. Great place to stay

I've stayed in many beautiful places on my recent trip through Thailand, but what stands out at Pai Village are not just the beautiful - albeit small ;) - bungalows in wonderful surroundings, it is the perfection of hospitality that the entirety of the staff has mastered. Staying at Pai Village provides a home away from home, that you don't want to leave again. More than just being amazingly helpful and charming to all the guests, for me it stood out that the staff itself had a great deal of fun working there and as a team - which makes it even more fantastic to be there! The Garden Bungalows are very cute, a bit on the small side (with huge bathrooms though) and invite for an afternoon of pure relaxation on your own front porch. The only two aspects to consider when staying here, especially during the winter it can get very cold at night, and there's barely any protection from the cold, making it very frosty morning. Though, as I understood it, plans are to provide heaters in those instances in the future. The second consideration should be made towards privacy, as much as the bungalows do not protect much from cold, they're neither much of help for soundproofing. Some people might find this to be an issue, and I can see how a fully occupied resort might lead to some noise complaints from neighbors, luckily it hadn't been an issue during my stay. Breakfast selection was small but of superb quality and very delicious with handmade jams and other delicacies. At the same time, they serve excellent food for dinner as well. My recommendation without a doubt when it comes to Pai and you're looking for beautiful moments in a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be back
