The place is nice. The building looks nice at distance but clearly old and worn when you approach. Beds, room and toilet reasonably clean. The housekeepers didn’t clean the room for two days out of six days when we were there. They also didn’t give us water, but did when we asked for it. One of our rooms didn’t have any soap on the first day. Hairdryer wasn’t also given for that room when the room stated it is provided. On one night, the cafe and restaurant was closed without notice and we had to go out for dinner. Good thing we had our own transportation.
Bura Lumpai was a wonderful place to stay. Me and my boyfriend spent a week there, our room was huge, as was the balcony, and the resort is full of beautiful little houses and stylish bungalows. Good WiFi and huge, comfortable beds. The place is clean and quiet, a perfect getaway from city life and within reach of Pai centre. The resort offers a free pick up service that will take you to town and pick you up if you need, which was a lovely gesture. The staff are friendly and leave you to yourselves while always keeping your room clean and stocked with water. The location is a little far from town but close to such tourist attractions as Pai Canyon, rice fields and Memorial Bridge, as well as the hot springs. The pool is also lovely and clean! The only minus for me was the restaurant on site which seemed to always be out of one thing or another, and I would not recommend the smoothies there. Apart from that, more than satisfied :) thank you!…
2nd time I try to post review today. The place is run down. The bedroom looked OK. The bathroom was a disgrace. I found large amount of mouse crap and pee in bathroom. Told the office they said they would clean. Came back saw wet floor and thought they clean everything. No it was not cleaned still there. No disinfectant or properly scrubbed. Then I find more mounds of mouse crap behind garbage can and in corners. Told them again they only scrubbed one area and no disinfectant. The next morning mouse pee and crap all over sink area. Sink also leaks all over counter. Plus glass window in shower cracked then they put tape over it. Obvious the bathroom has not been cleaned for a long time. Disgusting! The smell was terrible! The shower area roof was open to the outside. (No mesh) So I got mosquitoes while asleep. Even the bungalows have the same set up. The good comments were mostly when it was new. Today it is very run down. Don't waste your money. Many better places in Pai. The pictures don't tell the story. This is an honest review! I have photographs to prove what I am saying.…
I checked in lately at night and received the room on high floor. The room was quite large but the bathroom was very dirty. It has frog inside. Staffs are very friendly. They helped us change the schedule bus and bring our luggages to the bus station in Pai. I think it was a very nice place to stay but you have to consider about its location
This resort has many single- or double-storey villas and bungalows scattered through pretty gardens, around a lake and by the nice swimming pool. My superior room (#806) was a second-floor room with a good bed, a balcony overlooking a garden and close to the restaurant and coffee shop - which offer standard food for breakfast / lunch but did not seem to be open for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although the resort location is near the main Pai - Chiang Mai Road, traffic noise is not a problem, and the location offers easy access to the memorial Bridge and the great Tha Pai Hot Springs. However there are several dogs on the property. If you are a sound sleeper who is not disturbed easily then this is an ideal place. However, as I am a light sleeper I was woken every night by the barking of one dog and this was a very disappointing aspect of an otherwise comfortable stay.…
