A little farther than the spicy backpackers you'll find this garden-Eden-like jem on the right hand side in the middle of a bamboo forest. Surrounded by old Thai-style bungalows the place offers a cozy chill-out-area with a little pond in the middle. The place has come a bit of age but doesn't lack of any quality in the bungalows. Spacious,... More

The Sut Hut is a great place to chill for a few days. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough not to feel left out. It is very green, with lots of trees and a small creek acting as a border to the property. The owner is a very chilled, nice guy, who... More

Beautiful, lovely huts right by the river. Staff was genuinely nice and very laid back. We very happy with our hat- clean, specious and cosy, ideal place to rest after day of trekking/water rafting etc. We were there during off season (however weather was great!) and we got the place much cheaper. It's located around 1km from the centre of... More

We were only going to stay one night, but ended up staying in Pie for a week. Partly due to magical Pie, but also because of where we woke up in te morning. If you decide to come stay here, you will realise the the hardest thing to do is to leave your porch in the morning. Paul, the owner... More

The Sun Hut is obviously there for a while and given the fierce competition in Pai that is already an achievement. The public area is nicer than what most other guest houses in Pai offer and enjoyably not commercial. Located at around 2 km away from the infrastructure that used to be a little village, it is pleasantly remote and... More

Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful, I had my pickup on the bus station of Pai on time. and Mr. 'Por' drive me to the GH and guided me to my room. He has very nice personality. Cons: The Sun Hut is FAR away from the town. If you cannot ride on a motorbike, it will take you... More

The Sun Hut is a great place to get away from it all! We stayed in a lovely hut with a hammock on the porch that looked over a little stream. Really relaxing and quiet place to stay. The sign said they had a vegetarian restaurant which is part of the reason we chose it but when we got there... More

The Sun Hut was a great place to stay! Very laid-back & quiet. The surrounding jungle & stream were beautiful. The hammocks were excellent. It's a little (15-20 min) walk outside of town, but it's enjoyable & that's where I wanted to be to enjoy some peace & quiet. Besides, cycle/motorbike rental's cheap. Some reviews have complained about beds not... More

Stayed at the Sun Hut 2 years ago and looked forward to a return visit. We noticed unwelcome changes. The entrance path is falling to bits and does not provide a favourable first impression; this is reinforced by a sad lack of atmosphere. The simple breakfast of fried egg, toast and tea/coffee took an age to prepare, and there were... More

The Sun Hut was once a great place, now it has changed. There is no food, and no communication with the staff. There used to be a fireplace where people would sit and talk, that's gone! And gone is "the god old sun hut" . I would not go back.
