I found this hotel to be a very pleasant stay. It isn't ideally located but we hired a moped and it was about a 5 minute drive into town. The staff are lovely! When we first arrived and wanted to go into town, the lady gave us a lift in her own car. Then from there we hired a moped.... More

This hotel is not ideal for travellers unless you're going to rent mopeds (and not drink alcohol).. If you wanna have a drink, a taxi will need to come and pick you up unless you fancy a 1.5 mile walk back from the centre. This place is absolutely riddled with mosquitos. Rooms are pretty decent, beds are comfy.

I only stayed one night because not only is it far from town, but the housing itself is so far back in the road that it takes 5 minutes just to get to the street walking and there is nothing around the resort. The host / reception was not friendly or helpful either. Wi-Fi barely worked either I'm guessing since... More

We stayed here 10 days and loved it. We looked at several places and this was the best one by far. Cabins are spacious, well constructed and have a nice veranda. The smaller cabins also have a back deck- ours overlooked a small pond. The manager spoke good English and was really helpful. The location was great because you're just... More

My friends and I stayed here for one night after switching from a different place. The rooms here are well worth the price since the quality of the rooms here are of a three to four star hotel. Maybe it was just coincidental timing or this hotel isn't well known, but we rolled in with 9 people looking for 5... More

Staff were keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Thai breakfast of rice soup was vey good but coffee was from a '3 in 1' sachet of coffee, milk powder and sugar...nasty! The cabins were basic with showers outdoors that were more bunk house than the luxury the owners may have been looking for. However the place was clean,... More

We drove into town tired from a long day of driving and checked into Pai Herbs resort because it was quiet and the grounds were nice. We looked at five different rooms before finally settling into two small cottages at the back of the resort. It was two days before New Years and the town was packed, so why were... More

At first you don't really know where to go and what to expect. The wooden houses are far from the sign "Pai Herbs Resort" but we somehow managed to get to the "lobby". They don't speak good English (they don't speak English at all) but that don't matter as long as you don't need anything. The resort itself is just... More

After touring through the Mae Hong Son area and not seeing any westerners for a while, it was an abnormally pleasant surprise to be in a touristy haven. The town is full of farang shops/ restaurants/pubs etc, but was nice for a day/night. The hotel was a few minutes ride on a scooter from the main street, which makes it... More
