There is not much to do in Nong Khai but if you need to spend some time in a quiet and peaceful place to rest after some crazy travels or a long stay in an organic farm, for example, Nong Khai is a good place and Mut Mee a great choice. We had a cheapest double room (350 bhats with... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. You say that there is not much to do in Nong Khai, however, we would like to show that there is in fact an abundance of activities and things to see here. First of all there is our extraordinary Sculpture Park Salakaewkoo with 7 storey sculptures, the bazaar like Taa Sadej Market,... More

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Mut Mee. Julian, the owner is a very personable fellow and takes a personal interest in the comfort and needs of the guests. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere so peaceful and relaxing. Others have mentioned the mossies being bothersome but they weren't a problem for us and I'm a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights after crossing over from Vientaine. You will have no problem finding Mut Mee. Just flag down any tuk tuk and tell them Mut Mee. Mut Mee is heaven in Nong Khai. You can just relax and melt into its surroundings. The owner, Julian is very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are so well kept... More

Mut Mee has been upgraded from what I remember it used to be about 3 years ago, Besides the great ambience of its own - a gorgeous garden cum the panoramic Mekong River - , the facilities in general (bed quality, bathroom condition, rental cycles, on-the-street but reliably safe parking lot, Wifi, good food from its kitchen operated by local... I have never stayed anywhere as relaxing as Mut Mee! The "forest" type garden with chairs, tables and hammocks was the perfect place to eat breakfast and dinner - all of which are cooked in house and taste incredible. The staff are friendly and helpful - providing maps and advice about the local area - and the guests always have... More

This place is amazing ! Good vibes, variety of guests, and kind helpful staff. Did I mention the fabulous home cooked meals made to order 12 hours a day. The place not pristine fancy but is clean and beautiful. Massage available in courtyard. I could live here ....

Mut Mee is not just a guest house, but kind of "an institution": a warm and welcoming place for (almost) everyone (also budgetwise). We discovered this place a couple of years ago and have come back several times since. Just go there and find out about it: the wonderful staff, delicious(!!!) food, terrace with river view, relaxing massage, bike rental, music... More

This was my third visit to Mut Mee. I stayed in the 'posh' bit so it was hotel quality rather than your average guest house. Excellent staff who greet you like a friend, good food at a reasonable price and a lovely atmosphere where guests are encouraged to mingle. This place is perfect for families and tourists. I was there... More

I have mixed feelings about this place. The location was really good, very quiet and peaceful on the Mekong and easy walking to the night market. There is an awesome bookstore a couple houses down, great selection and the owner is super sweet. We rented a scooter at the end of the block which I would definitely recommend for getting... More

Set away from the dusty bustly streets of Nong Khai, this gorgeous retreat is spacious and beautiful. Comfortable and safe, it is a place where I could spend a long time, writing and drinking hot tea while watching the Mekong river ebb and flow on the banks below. The owners, Julian and Pao were more than helpful; they were sincerely... More
