Its location quite OK as around 500 meters away to the border. The way to the border also have plenty of shops. Hotel facilities are fine eventhough its quite old building. Breakfast also fine - eatable.

I stayed here for one night as part of the motorcycle tour of northern Thailand. According to our tour leader, this is the best hotel available in Mae Sai. Located on the main road through town, the hotel makes a convenient base whilst passing through the town. The parking area in the rear has a security guard. There hotel is... More

Nice Hotel at good location with large clean rooms. Good Restaurant, excellent Breakfast Buffet. Secured Car park behind the Hotel. Friendly Reception Staff. Really good value for money. Ask for a 10% discount from the 800 Baht room rate. High season room rate is 1000 Baht

The Dingdong of the Lift is annoying, yes, so make sure you get a room at the other end of the hallway, room 309 e.g. Thin walls, u hear a lot ( but no roosters for once) small bathroom, large room. WiFi very good, they have repeaters on each floor. Staff a bit desinterested, the hotel is not a place... More

Excellent value for money. Simple yet decent spread for breakfast. Staff friendly and tries hard to comunicate in English. They accomodated our request to store our big luggages when we checked out to go to Tachileik. Good location - plenty of street food literally at your door step.

Nice clean hotel. Convenient location. Plenty of food stalls nearby. But not worthwhile going over to Burma. The immigration officers demand 500 bahts per person to chop your passport. I believe its pure extortion. Hope the in-coming government can do something about it.

MaeSai is basically a town built on both sides of a major road leading to the border with Myanmar. Piyaporn place hotel is conspicuously situated on the west side of the main road about 600m from the border. It is easy to find and looks grand from outisde. There is parking in front, beside and behind the hotel. Parking behind... More

I have stayed in Mae Sai a number of times and used to use the Top North, but that has deteriorated and I think the Piyaporn is now the best in town. This doesn't say a lot, because Mae Sai hotels and restaurants are really sub-par for a town this size. There are far better options across the border in... More

Stayed one night here for a day trip across the border to Myanmar. Clean and friendly hotel. This is a budget option, but it suited us perfectly. Easy and interesting walk to the border. One long street contains the Mae Sae market, then across the border to visit Takilek. The hotel will sort out your border paperwork for you if... More
