The bungalows here are very basic, but not very cheap for what they are. In the restaurant really good Thai-/Burmese-/Western food is served. I wouldn't call it a Resort, it's more a homestay-feeling there. The cheap bungalows are open, so many animals are able to crawl/fly inside, so you are addicted to the moskito nets. The family running the resort... More

Beautiful view, great snorkeling (free equipment for guests). Food is reasonable. People very friendly. Huts are pretty open so the musquito-net they have is essential. Cheap hut (700BHT or more for bigger) but we found cheaper and better in Chalok Baan Khao. But if you want the real old fashioned Thai ecperience on the beach and don't mind walking a... More

We ate lunch at the restaurant and then spent the afternoon lazing on the beautiful beach. We caught a long tail boat from the main jetty - he waited there for us all afternoon - and so very cheap too! Loved it - will be back!!

We went only for a breakfast. The staff was not very friendly, coffee was the worse that I had in my life as well as the pancakes - they were only half-cooked, still raw in the middle, and completely tasteless. And pricey. The location is great though - definitely do visit the stunning Sai Nuan beach, just skip the restaurant!

My husband and I were on a 3 month trip and I had booked and paid deposits on Koh Panyang and Koh Samui but when we arrived we had found our paradise. Rustic but exactly what we were after. We stayed in the huts for the first 2 nights and then were asked if we wanted to stay in their... More

Things to note: 1. Although the area is nicely secluded, it's about 30 minutes walking from town (Mae Haad) - footpath is along the beach. You can ride your scooter in the other direction where the road is but it must be parked up further as the road is not in the right condition to ride a vehicle up to... More

This has been our absolute favorite little find in Ko Tao, we stumbled upon it by complete mistake. They had a bungalow for 800BHT (20Euros) with beautiful views of the beach and the rocks without pre-booking so we took it - this place has access to two secluded beaches, it doesn't seem to be known to a lot of people... We stumbled upon this resort while exploring the beach, and it was such a treat. We immediately booked a bungalow right on the beach for our last night on Koh Tao. It is very simple lodging, with good mosquito nets and big open windows. The view was unparalleled, so so amazing. Our fans didn't work, but we didn't discover this... More

Sai Thong is probably how Koh Tao once was during its early days of tourism: basic, clean and relaxed. Nothing fancy, but for us it was perfect. The beach is stunning and the family that owns the place is shy but very sweet and their cooking is delicious! Only thing missing to make the rating 5 stars is a slightly... More

I found the sai thong resort on the guardian top ten places to stay in Thailand, after the business of koh phangan we wanted somewhere quiet with few other guests and a great beach. We knew that sai thong was not the easiest to get to on the island (you can get a longtail taxi boat to the beach or... More
