What to say, this “resort” may have been lovely many years ago, however it is falling apart. The infinity pool, one of the reasons we booked it, was literally green, filter not working, tiles missing, rotten wool planks broken lounge chairs etc. The breakfast included was a joke offering poached eggs (that were as hard as a hard boiled egg, awful pancakes (tasted very bitter) and a bowl of Museli, that’s it. We had to buy bread, peanut butter and fruit in town and bring it to the breakfast area to eat. From our bungalow there were 125 steps up to reception and 140 to the “private beach”. The stairs had not been cleaned in ages and had 1/2 foot of leaves and debris on them making it very sloppy to walk on and the minuscule beach was dirty and has not seen a clean up in a very long time. The spa is closed, there is no lunch or dinner served, so a 25 minute walk into town for lunch and dinner and a 30 minute uphill slog in the dark to get back. Our wifi in the bungalow was intermittent as was the electricity, the AC keep dying so staff gave us another room. There are bungalows with missing roofs, trees and shrubs cut down but left there, what a mess. The only good thing about this place was the young men trying their hardest to make things work. Tony , who looked after the breakfast room , as well as many other chores, always had a huge smile on his face and even though he didn’t really speak English made every attempt to make us comfortable. Louis, at front fest, the same, he even did electrical work in our bungalow as it was so dark due to a broken light fixture. I feel bad for them having to try and run such a decrepit place..we saw people leave after one night and go elsewhere, but as we had prepaid (Agoda reviews weren’t bad and we didn’t see the others till it was too late) we didn’t have the option. Please do not spend money here, there are much better options closer to town and restaurants, plus Sairee beach is lovely for a swim.

Rooms and pool was absolutely filthy. In need of complete renovation. No adequate lighting in rooms and around the complex. Hostile reception staff. No assistance or help from staff. Booking.com state 4*- this is hugely misleading. All other negative reviews are completely accurate.

The only positive I can say is the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room only to find out the AC wasn't working so they moved us to a room with working AC. Once there we discovered a large spider next to the bed, water leaking in from the roof, cobwebs, newspaper shoved in cracks as insulation/ to keep bugs out, and the room looking like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Needles to say we checked out and found another place down the road. There also was no spa even thou they advertise as having one.

Unfortunately, I never slept in this hotel. I left because I found some bed bugs. First off, the room had a funny smell when I got there. It had been recently cleaned because the floor was still wet. I went to my room just before noon. I turn on the lights and clearly, is was still too dark inside. Must be romantic at night but at least add extra lighting when you need to look into your luggages. I then hit the shower to find out that the hot water is not working. I go tell the front desk and his response was: our rooms doesn't have hot water with a very moody attitude. "We tell Agoda many many times that hotel not have hot water" THE BED: I took a look at the sheets. Lots a dark stains and I'm starting to be suspicious. I find an ant crowling into the sheets which can be common sometimes in hot countries. But then I see a bed bug. I took photos and videos to show the manager. He then accuses me of bringing them here instead of trying to fix the situation. I'm like WHAT?? My luggage was on the chair. It never touched the bed (if by any chance it could have been some previous hotel...I'm not excluding the possibility here) but I didn't even sleep there yet and it was in the sheets. He was so rude. Another couple had also left the hotel for similar reasons. I was very embarressed about the turn out of this situation. Plus my room had a diffective AC that they never bothered removing. Any how, I said that if I'm not having a clean room with hot water and AC I'm not staying here tonight. He didn't even bother so I left. His attitude was mainly the reason I left because he offered me another room similar to that one but I wasn't interested because of what happened and how he treated me and the situation. Plus I never got refunded for my room, Thanks Agoda great customer service. The good news, I found cheaper hotel with AC and hot water and stayed there 5 nights. They better get their sh*t together because the reviews are getting lower in the last few months. Offering cheaper rooms doesn't mean to cut on essentials like hot water and cleanliness.
