Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly, check-in was super easy and within no time we were in our room. They also helped us with recommendations on lunch/dinner spot and motorcycle rental. You can also book transport to and from the ferry jetty through them. The room was really spacious and had a nice big reading nook (which kind of was an extra single bed) next to the window. It was very clean and lots of natural light came in through the large windows. Toilet was separate from the shower in our private room which is always nice. The breakfast was great, especially for the private room as you'll get to chose an extra fancy breakfast that gets made fresh for you. Highly recommend the muesli bowl it was full of seasonal fruits and a delicious way to start the day! The only thing I'd say is a slight negative for the Dearly is it's location. It's on the south side of the island and because of that a 10/15 min motorcycle drive away from the main town on Koh Tao. So if you're planning on going out at night in town and don't want to drive back drunk you'll have to organise a taxi (you might be able to do this through the hotel I don't know so maybe check with them).

We LOVED our stay here! The Hostel itself has great vibes, clean and easy to find.
The staff are incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. G and Gulf in particular were super friendly. They often offer to take you out in the evenings to cool spots In Koh Tao - so it’s very suitable for solo travelers as well as couples/ friends. The photo attached is when they took us out one evening to a tree house restaurant where we shared a hot pot bbq - such a fun evening!
Good social space included also to meet other people, play some pool and have a beer.
Would highly recommend!!

The stay at the Dearly was an absolutely incredible experience. I stayed at the hostel after signing up for a diving course with the hostel, which lasted for about 3 days; after I attained my diving license, without much further thoughts I decided to stay longer at the hostel. The place is simply too hard to leave!
The atmosphere, staff, hygiene and decor couldn't be any better. Jee and Gulf, the 'hosts' at the hostel, were incredibly friendly and helpful. From organizing a movie night to taking the guests on a night out to eating hot beef noodles at 2 am, they are always down to make your stay as amazing as it can be.
All in all, if you're looking for the perfect place for a diving trip or a simple island getaway -- you've just found the right spot.

This hostel is lovely, we stayed in a private triple room with an ensuite which was really bright, spacious and clean. It’s really nice that you get a fridge in the room and free drinking water. They came to change the water, bins and clean the bathroom which was nice. Pool and common areas are nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. Only things I would say is it’s a bit out the way from the centre of Koh Tao so you’d need to get a taxi or bike most places and it’s a bit pricey for what you get. There also isn’t much of a vibe, not many people sat having a drink in the evening - fine if you’re looking for a relaxed stay.

I stayed at the Dearly Hostel july 10-13 and I was so happy with the staff, very reliable and friendly and helped woth extras such as ferry transport, my PADI diving course and breakfast was included. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious and they have a pool and hammock to relax in. There is space for Moped parking and it’s 3 minute drive from main Sairee town/Port. Overall would come stay here again in Koh Toa - highly recommend!

If you are looking for a place to stay during your vacation in Koh Tao... I recommend this hostel.
This place is fully packed with excellent facilities, comfy bed and the best service mind staffs...
You will never get bored or dissatisfied here. All of the staff will handle and fulfill your requests at a fair price.. No mark-up, no cheating; they will provide you only the smiles and sincerity.
I enjoy staying here and this hostel gave me one of the best vacation memories ever!!
I will definitely visit here again...many thanks to P’JJ, N’Golf and N’Gee also N’Moo for taking a very good care of me

WOW! Super friendly staff, very very clean (bathrooms are cleaned twice a day, you can change your towel every day & you have an actual blanket), a wonderful pool area, nice breakfast, very good location, a beautiful roof top terrace (we did some morning yoga there) and have I mentioned the amazingly helpful staff? We extended for 2 days because we felt so welcomed there. What a great atmosphere. We stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm with comfortable single beds. Will definitely be back! The hostel provides all what you need for the island life; comfy bed, clean toilet, nice swimming pool and overall of the hotel is high-maintenant. Besides, they are an eco-friendly hostel with a great hospitality.
I have always heard that Koh tao isn’t only a place but the people. I have to admit people at the Dearly Hostel have made it true.
I can’t forget to mention that all staff there are my reason to come back to the island and stay there.
So if you are looking for a clean, comfy and eco-friendly place to stay together with friendship, this is your place.

Dearly Koh Tao was without a doubt the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The facilities were amazing, staff were friendly, and there was a great atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and even had a balcony. If you visit Koh Tao, you must stay here.

This place is super noisy, either you hear your neighbours or other loud noises from ventilation. If you are a light sleeper like I am, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The breakfast however is really good and I also enjoyed the swimming pool very much. You’ll need a motorbike to get to the town.

It’s quite a few kms between the two and walking in hot sun will be very exhausting so it is recommended that one hires a scooty and explore as it’s the cheapest option.
There are more places to choose from in the Koh Tao area.
