The stay at the Dearly was an absolutely incredible experience. I stayed at the hostel after signing up for a diving course with the hostel, which lasted for about 3 days; after I attained my diving license, without much further thoughts I decided to stay longer at the hostel. The place is simply too hard to leave! The atmosphere, staff, hygiene and decor couldn't be any better. Jee and Gulf, the 'hosts' at the hostel, were incredibly friendly and helpful. From organizing a movie night to taking the guests on a night out to eating hot beef noodles at 2 am, they are always down to make your stay as amazing as it can be. All in all, if you're looking for the perfect place for a diving trip or a simple island getaway -- you've just found the right spot.

I originally stayed at this hostel after signing up for a diving course just down the road from them (Ocean Sound) - they highly recommended it and said most of their students stay here! I was very impressed with the entire experience here at the Dearly Hostel! I received an e-mail from them a few days before arriving to the island, and was offered to be picked up from the pier for only 100baht (super cheap for the distance and convenience)! I was welcomed warmly by the staff and had everything explained to me - free breakfast from 7am - 10am, pool outside accessible from the second floor, common area on the 3rd floor, and rooftop area as well! I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm, that had two single beds and one bunk bed - each bed had separate large storage to lock up luggage, and the room had a gorgeous balcony! I ended up extending my stay twice due to completing a second dive course, and simply not wanting to leave paradise! I never had any issues with extending my stay, or being able to stay in the same room and bed, I even received a discount for booking the extended days with them directly at the front desk! The breakfast was great - fresh fruit, toast, mini pancakes, and two warm Thai dishes as well! They also had a kitchen that you could order from - food selection on the menu and very comparable pricing if not cheaper than the restaurants nearby! The pool was just incredible! It had two sections that were chest/shoulder deep, and then a deeper section in the middle. The pool and area around the pool was kept spotless during my entire stay, washrooms and shower also available right at the pool! The hostel is in a perfect location, with plenty of restaurants, diving shops, tattoo shops, and even beaches within walking distance! I would absolutely stay at this hostel again, and I will be recommending this to everyone! Thank you Dearly for the amazing service and memories!

Dearly Koh Tao was without a doubt the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The facilities were amazing, staff were friendly, and there was a great atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and even had a balcony. If you visit Koh Tao, you must stay here.

WOW! Super friendly staff, very very clean (bathrooms are cleaned twice a day, you can change your towel every day & you have an actual blanket), a wonderful pool area, nice breakfast, very good location, a beautiful roof top terrace (we did some morning yoga there) and have I mentioned the amazingly helpful staff? We extended for 2 days because we felt so welcomed there. What a great atmosphere. We stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm with comfortable single beds. Will definitely be back! Thank you and see you next time. Anja & Kathi

I loved this hostel! The staff are super friendly and hospitable, the room was huge and spacious, bathrooms are clean, and breakfast is awesome! I stayed in the 6-bed female-only dorm, and loved it for the fact that you each get a proper bed (not bunk beds), with your own locker, bedlight and space to put our luggage and hang our towels and still ample of space to move around! We also have our own balcony which is great. Loved the female-only shared bathroom, which is ALWAYS clean. The cleaning lady is constantly cleaning it! The pool is awesome, great place to chill in the sunny afternoons. The staff, JJ, Jee, Golf and Rose are all super friendly and nice people; they are just like our friends. The best thing about this hostel is they run daily beach shuttles for free, as well as a shuttle to Sairee for a very cheap price (compared to taxis). They also organise a lot of different activities, from sunset views, to game night, Sunday BBQ (to die for) etc etc. The area is awesome as well, lots of restaurants and eateries around, but much quieter and peaceful than Sairee. Chalok beach is just 5-10 mins walk away with lots of beachfront bars/cafes. There is a supermarket and 7-eleven within 5 mins walk. Highly recommend!
