However, the most memorable part (in a bad way) of this trip will be the older European couple who will appear like they are the owners of this resort. DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU. They are extremely rude to the staff, and any guests who are not “farangs” (westerners), and will patrol and stare at everyone from 7am till around 9pm through the breakfast area, the pool area, and the beach. If they did not see you check in, they will follow you to your room, and ask you whether you’re from the hotel and continue to question you as to what time you checked in and why they haven’t seen you yet. They also collect money from guests who are not from the hotel and sit on the hotel’s sunbeds, which is fair. However, they are not employed by the hotel at all and it is questionable as to what they do with the money they collect from these sunbeds. We are not the only guests to experience their rudeness (I am half German and half Thai and came with my Thai family), but other families have also expressed discomfort and irritation at the hands of this couple. So much so, that quite a few of the guests have also asked the staff about whether this couple are really the owners.
If the owner or management of this resort happens to see this review, I would strongly suggest asking this couple to take a step back and to allow other guests to enjoy their time at the resort. I also recommend any guests who are confronted by them, to ask them to back off.
Beyond that, the staff were lovely but seemed a little confused. Although I suspect that their confusion comes from being ordered around by this couple who are guests, but pretend to be owners.
First, we got lost in the jungle, because Google maps showed us another hotel with the same name. We tried calling to the hotel, but the staff didn’t speak any English and were of no help.
Second of all, even after an upgrade we were offered as an apology, it was a complete disaster. The room was dirty, with sand and dust all over the floor; the furniture needs to be renovated. The pillows were so hard, I woke up with a headache and a stiff neck.
The staff were unfriendly, not speaking English and looking tired of this life. The only friendly person was Anna, who was evidently either the owner or the manager.
The most unpleasant thing about this hotel is the breakfast ( I literally ate nothing. Even the black coffee was undrinkable.
The only good thing about those “villas” is the location (right on the seaside, with a nice Long Beach and beautiful water).
To sum it up, we could have stayed for one more night, but we decided to come back to Phuket, because the service leaves much to be desired.
We were lucky to come here over the rainy season for 4 days and we only had rain in the evening so no complaints there
The Pool although small was refreshing and a change from the sea after snorkelling
Breakfast we had a day of just eggs toast and cereal and a day with everything only complaint no teapots
Lunch and Dinner a nice small menu with good choices
Bar unfortunately no bar as such you would have to visit the hotel next door which is a shame because not a lot to do once it gets dark
Staff we found to be pleasant and helpful and always smiling and will help with anything
Rooms beds are firm we asked for extra pillows which was no problem you have room safes a big sized bathroom. The rooms are dated and are in need of a good maintenance person as you will be able to see faults straight away but they work and they do the job
It’s very easy to nit pick about this hotel but for the price and the location you’re getting a lot for your money
It’s not a five star hotel but it is in a beautiful place
Washroom was dirty, side tables had dirty glass marks, sand all over the room from before, every corner of the room had dead bugs. Bed is hard as a rock. We all woke up with a stiff neck. Our upgraded room was worse than the original room they gave us. The mosquito nets they provide have whole in them. Pools are covered with bugs. Don’t expect anything from the breakfast provided, we could only eat toast with butter and fruits. Ants everywhere around the food area. We gave them our laundry and it came back smelling like sewage and covered in sand.
I think covid really hit them hard. Place seriously needs to update on everything to run.
Stayed from December 30, 23 to January 5, 24.
Met a free shuttle at the pier.
Check-in was 1.5 hours late, but that’s how Thais are)
Deluxe room on the second floor with a beautiful view, worth climbing the stairs for.
Typical hotel breakfasts in Thailand: nothing special, but you won’t leave hungry.
Beautiful beach, sun loungers under a tree, plenty of space for everyone. There are beach towels and a hairdryer in the room.
Cleaning upon request.
Someone wrote about insects, the rooms are processed daily. But dead (insects) can be seen.
The room is large and very comfortable. The bed is a bit hard, but it was ok for me. The pillow was not comfortable for me, but there were small ones in the room, and I adapted them for sleeping. By and large, the hotel is worth the money.
We liked everything.
Sadly, I think that’s where the good stuff has to end. This place has definitely seen better days and is not very close to the image on the website. To say that this resort is ‘tired’ would be a bit of an understatement.
Thankfully, there are a couple of really nice neighbouring resorts open to non residents, otherwise this would have been a rather long few days!
We selected rooms with aircon, and although it wasn’t particularly powerful, it was noticeable when stepping in from outside.
The accommodation was clean and basic, although the bed was perhaps the hardest place I’ve slept other than the floor.
Actually, I’ll finish with a few more good points; a basic but more than sufficient breakfast is included, as are the short transfers by long boat on check-in and check out. And there’s a nice 30-45 minute walk into town, with a nice mix of beach and hilly jungle.
