Stunning location but miserable rude staff that make you feel really uncomfortable. Not much to do other than relax. Food is over priced and not great quality. Takes forever to receive a drink! Much better places to stay at in my opinion!!!!
Beautiful place but the staff are super rude. The staff/locals need you for the money but they really don’t want you there. I don’t recommend this place. They higher prices for food/drinks because your stuck on island.
Absolute dump masquerading as a “rural paradise” Love bluebottle flies and cockroaches? Then you’ll love this place. Love paying 10x more for a filthy, rickety and very uncomfortable bungalow than you’d pay in general? Again, you’ll love this place.. You’re pretty much stuck there and they can charge whatever they like (and add on whatever else they like) and it’s tough - where else are you going to eat? Breakfast is covered in flies and very stingy. The stairs coming from the bungalows are absolutely lethal and very very poorly lit (which is maybe a good thing as that way you can’t see the cockroaches scuttling around) This place could be so wonderful but it’s not. It’s a bungalow you could pay £10 for elsewhere and you wouldn’t break your neck on steps and get a side order of bugs with your dinner.…
From the time we landed at Tonsai pier, we were escorted by the Relax team who escorted us on our long tail boat transfer to our secluded little getaway on the east side of Phi Phi, based in a marine National park. We were a family of 5, so our 3 children stayed in a separate, but close-by bungalow to us. Each bungalow is rather rustic, with no luxury or air con and flat screen TVs, but our basic needs were met, with hot water, a mosquito net, a fan, 24 hour electricity (a luxury, coming from South Africa😜), and a strong WiFi signal in all parts of the resort, including while you sit on the beach! Caveat: mosquito spray is well advised, even on the beach!! The private beach with its white sand and coral reef teeming with fish (right in front of the resort), is a piece of paradise and perfect getaway for the whole family. The restaurant and bar, which we initially worried would be rather limiting for the 3 days we spent there, turned out to be fine with it’s rather extensivetraditional Thai as well as Western cuisine. The bar, although quite pricey with its rather impressive menu of cocktails, provides a lovely atmosphere with its lazy, chilled tunes belting through the speakers. We spent our one non-beach day (overcast day) hiking through the surrounding jungle to the three different viewpoints of Tonsai bay and Loh Dalum bay which are all pretty, and worth the climb, although it was a bit off-putting to be coerced to pay the 30 baht in order to go to Tonsai village via Viewpoint 2. The highlight of our stay was most definitely the one-man fire display on the Sunday night after dinner. The massage hut is another highlight with 3 lovely Thai ladies providing their 12 hour daily pampering services. I must commend the hard-working friendly and helpful staff at this resort who work day and night with a smile on their faces at all times! They made our stay a most memorable one!…
The hotel is beautiful with excellent views. We stayed for a night, the rooms are spacious and the staff is amazing. The only con is that the beach is rocky and going in water was very painful as we got jabbed by rocks. everywhere. They should mention in the description that the land under the water is all rocky not sandy.
The resort is a brilliant place to stay for a couple of nights. It is situated a short taxi boat away from Ton Sai Pier and is the only way in to the resort. Due to this, the resort is very remote and quiet, which adds to the relaxing nature of the resort. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and help with any questions you have during your stay. There is also a hike you can take that will lead you through the forest and up to a view point of Phi Phi Island where you can have a drink and ice cream as well. Highly worthwhile doing as the view was incredible. Would recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing few days to unwind and switch off.
Thank you for taking care of us. My wife and I had the best holiday of our lives. Delicious food and wonderful staff. A special thank you to the massage ladies who repaired my wife. 😆. See you again next November. Kap Kuhn khap.
What a lovely find!!! My family and I spent 3 lovely nights there (originally 2 but we extended an extra day). The staff was amazing and my son LOVED his first bungalow experience. At first I was worried about not being able to walk to other restaurants, but my fears were soon allayed as the restaurant’s menu is varied and everything was delicious. I ate the same bowl of delicious glass noodle soup for lunch 3 days in a row. You actually NEVER have to leave the resort. Everything you need is there and more. Enjoy!
Totally wonderful place. We didn’t wanna leave. This is for you that want to leave the hectic pulse in the centrum and enjoy the silence. 300 stars from us. Snorkel in the reef just a few steps away.
We travelled to the Phi Phi Relax beach resort at end of May and stay 8 nights .We arrived at Tonsai Pier and were met by staff from our resort who took our luggage and loaded onto the long tail boat and took us to the secluded and beautiful relax beach resort. The cabins were rustic and simple, and ours sat right on the beach and a few metres from the sea. We had a large comfortable bed with a large mosquito net. There was no air con but there was a fan that we used at night when we had the door locked. During the day, the breeze from the sea was enough to keep us cool and we did not miss the air con. There was no hot water in the shower but again, this wasn't missed at all. The beach was like something from the movies. White sand, clear water and so quiet. Since the only way to access the resort is via longtail boat, or walk - you won't hear cars or trains, planes etc. If you drag yourself away from your deck chair and book, there was snorkelling, canoes and any trips can be arranged at reception. What to say about the staff? A kinder, more thoughtful or hard working team of staff I have yet to see. Nothing was too much trouble for my party. My daughter got stung by sea urchins and the staff immediately sorted her out - bring water shoes btw. Food - A fabulous and varied menu meant we could choose something different every day lunchtime and evening. Lots of Thai food including vegetarian, plus English food. Prices were very reasonable too. The restaurant sits on the beach front . Bring mozzie spray. All in all, we had a fabulous stay here and this resort far exceeded our expectations - we cannot wait to visit again.…
