Nice solution to stay away from the noise of tonsai (we just saw tonsai passing at the port and had enough of it). However this is an island worth to go or for partying in tonsai or for snorkeling around: everything is priced more in phi phi but the sea is wonderful.
Laem tong is good if you want to rest and go to bed at 10 in the evening, and do trips and snorkeling or swimming pool at daytime. In laem tong indeed there are 4/5 resorts only, such beach is reachable 2/3 times daily (until early afternoon) by direct transfer from Phuket (via Tonsai) by Andaman wave master speed boats (or by a private long tail service from tonsai itself). Then there are 3 small external restaurants only to eat out (cheaper, but they charge you crazy commission on cards).
Erawan palms in particular is located in the middle of beach, it has about 75 rooms, a swimming pool and seabeds facing the sea. the beach is white and sandy, with clear water, but all the beach itself in laem tong is not very well usable for sun lying or bathing because there are long tail boats up and down and sometimes motorized transportation of baggages for the hotels made on the beach. We had a superior room, it was facing a small internal lake with ninfeas and it was a good solution, wide and clean, with comfortable big bed and a safe (but no mosquito net); situated 1 minute walking from the reception and beach (I won't think the superior bungalows and villas, nearer to the beach, are worth the cost or add something special, because they are facing the pool and near each other). There is an internal dive center that we used for a diving. Restaurant on the beach and here is served also a very good breakfast, with quite wide timing 6.30-10. Nice service at reception, they prepare everything from arrival to departure, organizing the sending of baggages to pier (2 minute walking on the back of the resort).
Professional welcoming and service of concierge . Prices are quite high for Thailand, but affordable for a couple of days. Suggested to take at reception a long tail boat for the day (about 80€, same price than from the owners themselves) and reach other islands around for snorkeling. Payment with card without commission. No atm around laem tong. Good place for resting and snorkeling around

Solid slightly older hotel with mega stand. Very helpful and friendly staff. Price - performance for us Ok. We are talking about a Deluxe Bungalow between Christmas and New Year's Eve (200€ per night incl. Breakfast ) We would also recommend this to anyone. There is a varied breakfast (could be a bit richer and warmer... but this is whimsical prosperity 😅😅😅 ) The rooms clean and tidy.... somewhat spartanly decorated... but ok... you are there to sleep... ( perfectly sufficient 🙌) . The whole complex has its own charm. The drinks and food have absolutely reasonable prices for this location. If you want to dine outside the hotel, go a few meters further and enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand, in a local restaurant (there is always a small mini market with ). In the next town comes either the 3 km on foot, by boat taxi or by moped taxi.

The speedboat or ferry to the hotel pier is a good way to get there, otherwise you are quickly 1500 to 2000 Bath, from Koh Phi Phi town ( Pier ) to the hotel, away

By the way, since you are by the sea.... There are ebbs and flows.... And since the jungle is around the corner.... Insect repellent is appropriate, otherwise the mosquitoes have a feast 😅.

In summary.... Can you make it real 🙌☀️.... If you want more luxury, book a hotel further, all a matter of price 😎

We arrived on the ferry from tonsai pier and were quickly transferred to the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and this was just the right amount of time at this quiet resort. The room was adequate though a little tired looking and we asked for a mattress topper to make the hard bed more comfortable. The breakfast was simple but provided every element we wanted and the staff at the restaurant and bar were delightful. We ate at the Sawadee restaurant each evening and had a table on the beach. The fruit shake drinks were 2 for 1 in happy hour and were lovely. There were sunbeds on the edge of the property facing the beach and others around the pool. The beach was fantastic with crystal clear waters and white sand. Snorkelling is good at low tide when you can walk further out. We took a long boat trip to go to the better snorkelling areas which was fun.
The hotel is one of 4 along the beach and there about 3 independent restaurants so expect it to be peaceful. There was a food market held at the sister hotel...PP Natural but unfortunately it was not advertised in our hotel so only found out about by chance.
if you are lucky you will see one of the 3 wild Kites that regularly comes into the grounds..take some ham from breakfast to feed it and it will very gently eat from the back of your hand.

We stayed in this wonderful resort for 2 weeks in April as first-time package holidaymakers because my granddaughter couldn't take a longer break. Everything, including hotel transfer, went very well, the reception was very friendly and we were immediately given a very nice half of a bungalow with two large beds in exchange. The entire resort was very clean, very well maintained and is located on a beautiful white dream beach. The breakfast buffet was extensive. I did miss the typical Thai rice soup, though. Instead, other hot dishes were on offer. But there were plenty of breakfast eggs in all shapes and sizes, bacon, sausages and much more, as well as fruit with yoghurt and muesli. In addition to Thai specialties, the restaurant also offered Italian cuisine with pizza, which was a good solution for me because on my many trips to Thailand I have never been able to tolerate such delicious Thai food for a long time. Thank God, Singha Beer was never a problem. The resort offers very good service all around, which I would happily rate as at least 4 stars. Whether towels for the pool and beach, massages, kayaks, stand-up paddling, room service and a bar in the pool, everything was offered. And all with the unmistakable friendliness and helpfulness that the entire staff exudes. Thailand, the land of smiles. You can take the speedboat to Tonsai for 300 TB to stroll around or use it as a starting point for great day trips to Maya Bay, Monkey Bay, Coconut Island for snorkeling and chilling for 1,500 TB per person. Anyone who undertakes a strenuous journey will have a wonderful time here. It's worth it.

What can be said about this hotel if not its location, ideal for excursions.
Otherwise to be avoided at all costs given the price not at all justified staff not very attentive, average restaurant and breakfast, shuttle service which abandons customers on an island with no way of reaching them, unstable wifi and especially if you have bad luck to find rooms from 300 and more courage to you in the maze of stairs a good 5/10 minutes to reach the reception!!!!
We often come to Thailand and it is the most expensive and the lowest of all the establishments we have frequented. GO YOUR WAY

Stayed for 11 nights in this Beautiful beach. The hotel has been just perfect . The food has been very good, staff amazing. The bar area is the best on this beach even the 5star places next door come here for drinks and also for the on-site pizza restaurant We ate Thai food all the time and it really is quality .

Breakfast like anywhere becomes slightly monotonous but didn’t bother us.

The rooms are basic but have everything we needed. The air con was brilliant.
Most people come to this hotel for a couple of nights then leave but every one who did who we spoke to wanted to stay longer .

The need to travel Thailand in a couple of weeks sometimes makes you miss the beauty of certain places and this hotel and location is just that.

Thankyou Erawan. Unfortunately I am writing this while waiting for our speedboat to collect us to take us to the airport. Sad 😞

We, 6 people, booked a boat into the city through the hotel, and when we sailed back at 21:00 on the 24th. Dec. We ended up, due to high waves, in the middle of open sea in total darkness and with high waves, having to go over on a larger Long board to land. If we had fallen into the water it would have been critical.
When we finally get into the pier, there is a 1.5 meter level difference from the pier to the land due to the waves, which was also going wrong.

The hotel’s manager replied when we explained the situation that it is a troubling problem that the boats do not have the correct safety equipment and take too many chances because of money.
So they are familiar with the “problematic situation” however without responding.
We're afraid it ends wrong at some point

The hotel standard and condition is 3 out of 5.

Sometimes somebody in resort staff makes a difference. This time it was Mikey who took the initiative to help with boat vouchers and called and searched until all was solved. We are grateful and we enjoyed so much in our stay in Erawan Palm Resort.

Totally run-down, dirt, garbage and stench on every corner. The tables in the restaurant, menus, sun loungers, everything is dirty and greasy. Food scraps, empty glasses, ashtrays are not cleared for days. Far too few loungers for guests. The upper pool is a dump, as is unfortunately every corner of the hotel. Dirty chunks of ice fall into bed from the air conditioning. On the terrace in front of the room is neither a chair, nor a table or a lounger. I don't know how the hotel got the many positive reviews - but certainly not from real guests... fingers off, even Eur 50 per person and day for B&B are still far too expensive. We left early after 3 days.

Rooms basic but serviceable. Mattresses and pillows not great. Staff pleasant. Boat transfers operate through the hotel and it can be a bit chaotic! Don’t bring big heavy suitcases as they are awkward to get on and off the boats. No ATM or access to cash at this end of the island- bring cash or use ATM located in Ton Sai. Relaxed atmosphere at this end of the island. Limited but ok choice of restaurants. PADI dive centre next to hotel. Run by two friendly, helpful Spaniards. However the big downer is that my son and I have been munched on by voracious bed bugs. Staff seemed unconcerned and did not propose to do anything except change the sheets!!!

It is the end of the rainy season and it can still be a bit rainy. The sea is not the tallest but nice anyway. Good food is somewhat limited. There is the bug restaurant in the middle of the beach and a very decent little restaurant on the beach in front of the fisherman's vilage. They are good and affordable. Yes, it will be a but more expensive then the mainland but not too bad. A basic dish with rice is 100 to 150 baht. Cheaper are the small kitchens inside the village. It's a sea gypsy village. But if you are not very adventurous this could be a bit scary.
