We visited this hotel briefly in 2023 and it left us wanting more. We returned in 2024 for 2 weeks and loved every single minute. I couldn’t rate the staff highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel had arranged to pick us up in Phuket and take us to the harbour, arranged the speedboat journey too, all this was flawless. Upon arrival at the resort, we were taken by tractor from the boat to the beach and then on to reception. We were given a cold drink and a cold towel to cool us down. After all the formalities we were shown to our room. We had requested a villa far away from the bar area - the more private the better. We had room 719 - a sunset pool villa. Absolutely stunning. Throughout our visit, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We met the manager, Ay, on a couple of occasions and he was very friendly and keen to know what we thought of the improvements being made. We needed to take the golf buggy to our room at times, as the walk 10-15 minutes uphill in such heat was sometimes too much. Every time the staff obliged with enthusiasm. The staff at the monkey bar were very friendly, together with the staff at breakfast time. We ordered room service a few times and this was good value and great service. I booked a massage, which was incredible. However you can get one a lot cheaper if you walk into saii village or go into Tonsai. It’s definitely worth visiting Chilli and pepper, which can be found at the end of the beach (to the right from the hotel). It’s a rickety wooden hut on stilts up a number of steps, slightly precarious but well worth the effort. It’s a lovely authentic restaurant (tho only 7 tables) and run by a nice lady. They have a cat and a gorgeous little black kitten, who had just found his way there recently. We gave them food for the cats, which they were very grateful for. If you get chance to visit, please do. The food is great and the views of the bay are wonderful. All in all we had the trip of a lifetime and we will definitely be back!

Best ever holiday . The resort is looking tired but the staff are polite and helpful. Being an all year resort hard to keep on top of maintenance but they were doing it. Rooms dated too but none of this takes away the pleasure of this place . Plenty of bars . You defo need a minimum of three nights here

This is our third stay at this hotel, our previous stay in 2019 was while it was still part of IHG As holiday inn. Hotel is still great, with good food ,helpful staff and great location. Seriously speaking laem thong beach is probably the best spot on phi phi. Rooms are currently being renovated. If you are in older room you can be a little bit disappointed but please give them time, they cannot renovate whole hotel at once. We had new room so we were really happy with accommodation

Room was nice and so was the beach. Everything else was a disgrace. Staff don’t inform you about boat transfers to tonsai and back. I asked my self and was misinformed by every staff member. The staff con you for long tail boats. They charge 200 baht extra than the boat drivers on the beach. Staff can’t communicate well with you. They miss out on a lot of information. Booked a speedboat for 10:30 back to tonsai. And I only find out the next day at 9:45 we need to be ready at 10 am with all our luggage packed. So we rushed back to the room which we were advised to take the buggy. The buggy took 15 minutes just to get to our room… because they dropped someone else off first even though we were waiting for longer. Hence we missed the tractor to the pier, which is 5 minutes away. They refused to call the tractor back to do another round trip and refused to help us book another boat to the pier. They didn’t own up to it and the manager started shouting at me, telling me it’s my fault. Wouldn’t stay here again and I don’t recommend anyone to stay here. Staff are very clueless

Verry good quality/price ratio. The first two rows of bungalows have a perfect position very close to the beach (we booked a superior bungalow). Some are renovated recently, some aren't. Even those that aren't are in fair condition. From what we saw, they are all going to be, because there was a lot of work being done when we stayed there. The garden bungalows seemed also nice, but being closer to the dense vegetation, they could be damp and may have problems with insects. The sunset rooms are very hard to get to, far on the hill and isolated. I'm also not sure about the sunset view because there is not much to see on that part of the island. Transfers are being done with tractors on the beach, but the far right of the beach is perfect because they do not reach it, so it is the only part of Laem Tong that is quiet and unspoilt. All in all, the resort is fairly good, scoring points in some aspects, loosing in others.

This was simply one of the best holidays ever and the best bit of our Xmas / New Year 4 stop stay. The staff are all delightful incredibly helpful and enchanting. The rooms are wonderful. Spacious dark wood floors. Fantastically cleaned every day. And the room service pizza amazing! The beach is definitely the best out of all the places we stayed. Powder white sand. Emerald waters. Take a trip to Bamboo Island. And. Highly recommend the New Years Eve night. The staff put their heart & soul into it. Great music. Dance. Fantastic. Fire eating & fireworks. And THE FOOD! Extraordinary. A proper banquet. And the restaurant food is exceptional. DEFINITELY coming back.

There seems to be an underlying feeling of uncleanliness throughout the resort. The main pool area- which sees high footfall by guests the floor and shower areas were dirty and minimal number of sunbeds available. The room I would say was average- once showered there was a smell of egg from the drains and there were stains on the mirror. Bedding felt quite rough and caused us to itch a bit. We had a sea view pool room and we couldn’t see the sea due to the overgrown greenery in front of the pool. I do sympathise with a place like this- still attempting to recover post covid and throughout the resort they are renovating the rooms on the beach but when you’re paying up to £200 a night, you expect a certain level of cleanliness

First the good points.the resort is nice with nice infinity pool & jimmys restaurant has good food & nice views. Unfortunately their isnt much else I could recommend about this hotel.we landed on Phi Phi from Phuket & had to make our own way to the hotel (there is no road access, the hotel can only be reached by long tail boat which the hotel do not offer or organise) so we got a long tail from ton sai pier which was 30 minutes & cost 1500 Baht (€40).Our room was ready early but once we got to the room it was rather old & in serious need of renovation. The bathroom was dirty & old with rusted utilities which we relayed to reception when they rang to enquire how the room was.on further inspection the lampshades on the bedside lockers were filthy, the curtains hanging off their railings & the underside of the bedsheets were dirty which we only seen the morning after.unfortunately both myself & my wife also suffered multiple bites throughout the night. We informed reception the next morning & in fairness the manager did email me to apologise which was welcome.we only stayed one night & didnt have breakfast, deciding to move onto Koh Lanta,a longtail back to ton sai harbour was 1200 baht from the hotel. With so many other hotels in the area unfortunately i cannot recommend the holiday resort,it is in serious need of renovation which im told is underway currently. The rooms,in their current state, are simply not worth the price.

This hotel wasn’t the greatest but not the worst. The island and location are stunning which makes up for it. We arrived at 4pm to be told our room wasn’t ready considering check out is at 11.30 so that’s was not a good start. The room was basic but clean. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was 2 minute walk from the beach. The facilities were good and two of the pools had great views. The food was good, there are a few cheaper restaurants along the beach front

Wonderful experience we had. Our room was at a height. We used battery operated cart for commuting in the resort. The staff is very nice and helpful. Beach is also very good. Th breakfast buffet was also good. The housekeeping staff was prompt. We took long tail boat for excursion to other islands. One can book these tours in the hotel or privately also.
