Pros - Close to the action but, quiet enough to sleep. Air Conditioning worked well, pool sufficient to cool you down, breakfast satisfactory. Cons - Wi-Fi didn’t work in our bungalow although probably would work in bungalows by pool level. Wi-Fi speed fast in reception area. The man who transported our bags from the pier to the hotel was very friendly, chatty & helped a lot of people along the way. We would stay again, don’t expect anything fancy, just functional.
Do not expect any thing fancy in this hotel as Phi Phi is just a small island and this hotel is 15-20 mins walk from the main beach and shopping area but it isn't secluded. It is more of a tree house with a tiny pool in the ground floor. The rooms are small with just the basics. The hostess was friendly but we weren't even given bottles or tea cups. Its very basic as i said, good for a day or two. The view from balcony is beautiful but beware of the Monkeys around.
Very nice place to stay. Even though it’s located 10mins away from the town it’s not a drama. They picked us up from the pier and the man brought our bags with a trolley. The receptionist was nice and the room they gave us was in good condition. It seemed clean, AC worked and the bathroom was huge. We didn’t have any animal encounter nor anything bad to review. Very nice.
I checked into pp Ingphu hotel on Friday. I had tried to cancel my stay due to a physical injury I got in a boating accident. Canceling was not an option and I could not afford to double book. I waited 3 hours in the heat for someone to come help me with my bags. When I finally arrived I asked for a lower room. The front desk woman pointed to my reservation and said this is what I ordered. She had no compassion at all that I could hardly move. I was shown to my room (50 stairs later) to find a barren empty room with only a bed and a small safe. There was literally nothing else in there. Later that day I needed to go to a pharmacy. I managed to work my way back down to the town, found a pharmacy and since I wasn’t feeling up to carrying anything back up the hill, I decided to eat at the small cafe they have up there. Upon my return I asked for a mixed fruit smoothie, I was told no, they closed. It was 7 pm and I was told the reception area closed at 8. Ok, I asked for some hot water for a ramen bowl I had. Well, she wouldn’t do that either. I asked for a little ice to keep my water cool. That was not possible. By this time I was totally frustrated, a bit hungry and very ready to get out of there. When it finally came time to check out I was hoping for assistance with my bags at least to the bottom of the hill. There was no one available. Here I am, 61 years healthy most of the time, bruised ribs, 2 bags and virtually no help. I managed to get to my next accommodation with no help from this property. I will never stay here again. I found accommodation at 1/2 the price with all amenities to be comfortable and a staff that goes the extra mile to be helpful! Shall I mention the view? It was about a 2 acre hole in the ground, lined with black plastic for some sore of treatment center or run off. It smelled horrible do I can only assume the latter. Take my word, this property is absolute NOT worth it!!!…
Good hostel for backpackers, just a 5 mins walk from the centre streets and 20-30 mins from phi phi view point. Nice staff, good pool, place is clean and room has a free fan which is good but also aircon for 300 baht a night. Only downside to the place it does no food.
