Beautiful views! great pool! lovely atmosphere! I like the island generally so I will come there often. Beautiful ambience are everywhere! very instagramable place and etc. I didnt say anything about the service and etc because I didnt feel like any were there. I prefer to think about that place as a self service so i wonnt get angry and etc. So i was enjoying the ambience and fresh air! cheers!
I have visited many hotels in my life but this is by far the worst I have ever stayed at- so much so I cut my stay short and moved hotels. It is impossible to sleep, there is a mosque next door which starts at around 5am- albeit this doesn’t let that long however there is a chicken farm on the other side so you get awakened by that all morning as well. The rooms are dirty and you cannot leave the fridge or a/c on during the day or when your not there as u have to put the key in to use it. When asked at reception for a spare they was very rude and refused even tho the fridge was needed for medication. The room was always full of mosquitoes despite taking all the precautions to avoid, Electricity never use to work during the daytime and reception said this was a island issue however other hotels and shops were fine. The pool is about the only good thing about this hotel and that’s what they use to sell it as This was what enticed me to book, however I can categorically say do not book here.…
We booked the standard room and when we saw it, we decided we couldn't stay there. The room was dark, with black mold in the shower. The bathroom looked like it hasn't been finished, very dirty, with hair on the floor. The towels were smelling so bad and were grey, filthy grey. Horrible! We asked for a diffrent room and they said we have to pay 1000 BHT for a new better one. We accepted and payed, but they didn't gave us a receit for the monney. The other room was a better room, but the bathroom smelled horrible and was still dirty.
We stayed here for 4 nights in a bungalow which was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a problem with ants in the bathroom which was immediately resolved by the staff. Breakfast was excellent, served in the adjacent Hippies Bar, for which you get a voucher from reception to claim the free breakfast. It overlooks the sea. The ground floor pool is okay, very good for kids as there is lots of shallow space. The roof top pool is outstanding, really big with a large covered area for shade when using the sunbeds and beanbags. Lovely views too! Staff are a bit mixed, some are helpful and pleasant, others seem bored but we had a very enjoyable stay here and would recommend.
I have no idea why this hotel has bad reviews. It's had a revamp and the best 2 pools on the island. Upstairs pool is very cool. I found all the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. Great how the hotel meets you at the pier and transports your luggage on arrival and departure. A special thanks to Ms Preeda for looking after me so well. I hope you and Mrs Kettle are well and happy.
