Buakao Inn Guesthouse has been my favourite place I've stayed in Thailand so far. I was originally booked in for 5 nights but my friend and I liked it so much that we extended our stay for another 5 nights. I could have happily stayed here much longer though and if I ever find myself staying in Thongsala again this...

This small guesthouse is fantastic if you need or want a few nights in the main village on Koh Phangan, Thongsala. Great location and very clean, one block from the ferry landing and across the street from the evening night food market. It is a bit tricky to find as it only has a small path leading to the back...

After a long days travel from Koh Lanta to Koh Phangan, we discovered this quiet and nice little guesthouse 20 minutes after the ferry ride. The room was cozy and homey and very clean! The owner and his daughter were lovely people and gave us the scoop on what was to come in the next few days during Thai New...

We have visited phangan often and previously have stayed next to a beach. However beach and sea conditions change daily and we find ourselves travelling across the island to another beach where the sea is clearer and calmer. In the evenings we always return to thongsala. This time we stayed in the town and could eat and drink without having...

Arrived after a long day travelling from Kuala Lumpur via Surat Thani and then bus and then 2.5hr ferry crossing. Struggled at first to find the place but that was more my fault because I lost my map directions, but still managed to find it via word of mouth, is actually only about 10 mins walk maximum from the pier....

A cheap and nice place to stay in thongsala. Clean rooms. Very nice and helpfull staff (the owner is a cool german guy), good food served all day, and one of the best coffee in town. We would definitely stay there again.

This guesthouse was a really good find it's out of the noise and hustle and bustle of haad rin but close enough to go in for the night. The owner mike is so helpful and the coffee shop he runs down stairs does the best sandwiches in Thailand and the milkshakes are pretty good too! All in all a really...

I had a feeling when we booked the glass cottage that it was going to be a very special place, and it was. Michael, the host, met us upon arriving via boat in Koh Phangan and was so welcoming. We arrived at the cottage and it is just gorgeous. It's small and cosy and has everything you need, like bath...

We spent a month in Koh Phangan just outside town and visited A's coffee on a regular basis as they did great coffee.... On our last night we wanted to stay in town as we were catching the early morning ferry so asked about staying at the guest house above the coffee shop. We thought because it was low season...
