Let's start with the good first... Pros: -First and most of all, the view from the place was stunning. -I can say the staff at the restaurant were nice and very helpful. -The place was quiet and serene other than the loud music at night (which I'll touch on in the cons) Okay, here we go... Cons: -Something about the energy of the place was a but stuffy and...forced, as if they were trying to push it as this uppity, secluded place. Heads up, if a hotel or resort only has three pictures of the room and no pictures of the bathroom on a pieced together website, be cautious. This was a big reminder/lesson. The bathroom was subpar and we had something that looked like blood stains on the door. -The food was good but not worth the price and the water is 50 baht. Yeah...no. Also, the restaurant doesn't open until 3pm and there's different information online at different travel sites ( some say free breakfast, others don't) -I think maybe during a time when there are more people there at the business, (we're in the middle of a global pandemic) having a DJ is a nice touch, but like I said...pandemic. No one was there, so the loud music every night was overkill. -There must be some cracks or holes in the room, because we had tons of flying ants (I guess it's mating season) in our room. I get it, it's Thailand and we're in the woods on a mountain, but I mean we had them EVERYWHERE. We couldn't relax without swatting and had to spray bug repellent on our sheets just to somewhat keep them at bay. -Although the view is nice, consider what it takes to get there. Both pathways leading up to the place can be dangerous, one being very steep and the other being flatter, but very curvy. Think about this when it rains or if there's any loose gravel of dirt. We actually did not feel comfortable driving down the first night to make a 711 run and actually had an accident going up on our scooter a day after. Just something to consider if you want to rent a bike. Overall, it's a cool place for a photo-op or a specific visit, like a honeymoon or relaxing getaway where you're not planning on doing much coming and going. We eventually had to move because we didn't like the overall vibe and found a beach bungalow for half the price and with a better community atmosphere, but that's what we were looking for coming to the island. So, it can be a great stay, depending on what you're looking for, but it wasn't for us.…
My partner and I stayed here for seven nights and we could not have made a better choice: very kind and friendly staff, cute, clean and tidy bungalows, breathtaking pool and delicious breakfasts. Highly recommended
Stayed in BlueRama for 2 nights last December . Highlights 1. Comfortable cottages 2. Close to Thongsala and not so far from Srithanu making it a good location 3. Magical infinity pool view 4. Helpful staff Possible improvements 1. Cafe opens from 3-9, if they can open early morning for coffee and refreshments that would be awesome 2. Beer in the restaurant was not cold
Visiting Bluerama makes you realize again that a good location in itself doesn't make a good venue. Food is dead slow (expect 1.5 hours), below average, service nonexistent... Avoid this place - or at least have a decent meal before you go.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for seven nights and we could not have made a better choice: very kind and friendly staff, cute, clean and tidy bungalows, breathtaking swimming pool and delicious breakfasts. You live the natural rhythm of life in the midst of nature
