We looked for a cheap place to stay 2 or 3 nights and didn't find anything directly at the beach of thong nai pan yai (there are a lot of new, fancy resorts which took the good spots). But there is bamboo bungalow in the second row. It's 70-100 meter far from the beach (which is really nice by the... More

The huts are really cheap (300 Bhat a night I think), but it's difficult/impossible to book them online so you have to go there or know someone. I haven't backpacked or stayed in basic accommodation for a long time, but this was fine. I stayed here for two weeks. There's a strong, quiet fan keeping the mosquitos away and the... More

The location is nice and the food is nice if you happen to catch a staff member. Sometimes there's not a single person there working and you can't order drinks or food all day. Lots of bugs. Friendly staff if you can find them! Cute rooms, but the toilets are trash. Ours didn't flush and the hose was broken. The... More

We stopped in for drinks on two separate occasions during our stay at the beach and both times we had a great experience! Sarah and Pon ran the bar and provided us with great service! They are friendly, fun, and know how to make a great cocktail and pour a big glass of wine. Great happy hour specials too! Highly... More

I would say it is the most magical place we found on the island. All the bar/restaurant area is a terrace of bamboo with a beautiful view on the bay. The bungalows are pretty and cozy (great deal for 400baht/night). Everything was nice. You are in the middle of nature and it relaxes the soul. The customers too appear to... More

I had a wonderful stay at Bamboo. Sara, Pon and Bao looked after me so well I didn't want to leave! My bungalow had a hot shower and a hammock which is all you really need. The gardens are beautifully tended, there are plenty of spaces to chill out or if you want to make new friends just sit at... More

We stayed in Bamboo 2 years ago and enjoyed our stay then. It is now under new management and was an even better experience this time round. It's a two minute walk from the beach and a 1 minute walk to the village. It is family run and has a lovely welcoming vibe. There are shelves and a hammock in... More
