This is my second visit to Ananda and it was perfectly fine again. Noar, Villy and Valerie are great and ensure all is fine. Pre and post detox info all clear, restorative yoga perfect for detox low energies, salt water pool is lovely as is the herb sauna. We like the elevated bungalows as they’re brighter. The standard ones may be a little dark for some due to foliage. Beach across the road isn’t for swimming but is great for sunsets. A really relaxed setting! We also had a great deal due to Covid...sweet!
I happened to be staying in a small villa nextdoor to Ananda and decided to drop in on a yoga class. The teacher Valerie was so knowledgeable and supportive that I started coming every day. When I saw how well the detox was organized, I decided to do my first ever detox at Ananda. The detox manager Villy was incredibly informative. She and Noa at the detox bar were so wonderfully supportive throughout my 3.5 day detox. They have an excellent system of care and support here, plus I made a lot of great detox friends too 🙂🙏 The accomodations are lovely and peaceful with beautiful nature all around. The herbal steam room and chemical free salt water pool are great ways to spend time here as well ! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Ananda. From their lovely facilities to their excellent staff and services, this is definitely a place you can come to get away from it all and reconnect with yourself, your body, and your health. I cannot wait to come back to do the 200 hour yoga teacher training here in June. I will also definitely be coming back to do another detox. ❤️🙏…
Great package deal fit my budget nicely. Well taken care of by knowledgeable, experienced, caring people. Comfortable, organized, worry-free for me. Schedule structured with things to do throughout the day balanced by plenty of private time for spirituality, relaxation (love the hammock on the porch of my upper bungalow), extraordinary sunsets, and grounding barefoot on the newly exposed beach sand from outgoing tide. Enjoyed all aspects of program - advice, detox drinks and herbs, colemas, yoga, massage, sauna, swimming, etc. Optional liver and parasite detox are important add-ons. Left me in great shape - feeling light, healthy, and lively.
My eleven-day fasting cleanse at Ananda Yoga Detox went very well and the price was right. Detox manager Villy and staff member Noah guided me through the process which includes drinks and supplements, daily massages, yoga, colonics and both pre- and post-fast phases. The restaurant serves healthy food for partial-fast days. The accommodations are simple but comfortable and the location on Hin Kong Road has direct access to a sunset beach, and nice restaurants for when you’re not fasting. I can definitely recommend this reasonable detox option on the beautiful and tranquil island of Koh Phangan.
My experience at Ananda was amazing. The place is really beautiful and close to the beach. You can easily rent a bike or a scooter to ride around the island (when you have time!), but you can also enjoy hanging around the resort, which has a beautiful garden area and saltwater pool. As for the teacher training, Johnny has put up such a structured and wide course that I find it hard to think you can come across a better 200 hours TT course. He is very knowledgeable, devoted, and expert on all the aspects of yoga practice, and he is very good at explaining, and present all along the course together with his assistants. Definitely a must if you want to take your 200-hour course!
