Bay Villas has the most astonishing views, kind staff, amazing service, quality western-style interior design, and overall a very premium experience. I can only recommend booking a stay here, it's the best holiday experience you'll ever get.

I would never usually dream of staying somewhere so opulent, but honestly, on account of how stunning these spaces (most of them anyway) are I will be striving to stay here whenever I can when I make my routine visits to KPG. Excellent salt pools, incredible sunset views, fantastic standards of service, largely tasteful design. Look forward to staying again. A special thanks to Greg who made our stay extra comfortable with every curve ball we swung his way.

We stayed in villa Tramonto Rosso. Very private and with an amazing view and the villa has a fully equipped kitchen and all the utensils. Washing machine too and comfy living room and outdoor seating. We felt very relaxed here and the staff were all very helpful and friendly from booking through to check out. Location is fantastic just 2 minute drive down to Salad beach and 5 mins or so to Secret beach. We will definitely be back soon as we can. So handy with a young family to be in a modern villa with all the amenities close to some fantastic beaches and restaurants.

Shockingly bad reception service- absolutely unbelievable. I feel sorry for the owners of their villas as they actively turn away business, refusing to let me book a villa. These are unfortunately the people you will have to deal with if you stay. I called to ask about the view from one of the villas and spoke to an extremely rude man with a German sounding accent, I think he was called Greg or something like that. He for some reason accused me of calling to try to get a cheaper price and spoke to me like I was dirt. He later sent a message and when I didn’t see it so didn’t reply within a few mins he sent ‘?’ I messaged the reception the following day asking if a different person could call and I explained to her that someone close to me had passed very suddenly just 2 weeks before. I told her it was a very painful and difficult time and said it was really important to me that the staff were polite. A lady called Amm then arranged for me to see two villas that were occupied on a day I had previously suggested could work. She had not said anything about that day at the time but two days later she suddenly booked it in without confirming with me first and when I said I could now not do that day due to work I now had to do. She went on and on and on over the phone, (despite being aware I was at a restaurant trying to eat dinner), about how difficult this was for her, how inconvenient, how terrible it was I couldn’t go that day etc. I apologised repeatedly even though it wasn't really my fault. She then suggested I travelled all the way to the island just to look at the outside of the villa before finally agreeing (after ranting non stop) to rearrange another viewing. I couldn't believe that she would behave like this after I had explained that I was grieving. I then discovered that the time of the returning ferry was not 1pm as I had thought (mistakenly) she’d written but that she had only been writing the arrival times at 2 different ports. So the departure was actually 4.30, which would have been impossible due to work commitments. I asked if there was a quiet place to work there (I needed to record audio so couldn't use a cafe), but didn’t hear back from her so I could not book the ferry. I messaged asking to book the villa without seeing it first and received a message back agreeing but not understanding which villa I meant. Then moments later, after (and probably because), I asked to speak to Amm instead (who was slightly less rude than the German sounding guy), I received another message, refusing to let me book!! They told me they had spent far too much time talking to me so they would not reserve a villa for me. They had not spent much time talking to me at all. They had sent photos of the villas to me and there had been 2 phone conversations enquiring about the villas. During the first I was frequently put on hold for long periods. (The second call was because the guy had been so rude so I needed call Amm and ask her for an update the following day instead), followed by the 16 minute call in which Amm ranted at me for 98% of that time. The message also explained that since I had not gone to the island that day, I would not be allowed to book a villa unless I got a taxi, caught a ferry, got another taxi and went to the office in person to book it. I could easily have paid over the phone or online but they needed to make their petty point and apparently this was the manager’s idea! It's really been a blessing in disguise as I can't imagine that staying there and dealing with these unfriendly, and cold people would have been a relaxing experience. There are other villas on the island with beautiful views, I'd advise going to one with competent management and polite, professional staff.

I stayed here March-April 2020 with several friends, during the covid lockdown. I didn't know what to expect as I'm usually a budget traveler, but was quite pleased. The sunset views from our villas were amazing. Nice pool to cool off in. The kitchen, with oven, stove, microwave, fridge, was very useful during a period when not many restaurants nearby were open...though each villa is stocked differently with utensils, so I had to improvise at times...good fun! Nice big smart TV for evening entertainment. Bedroom comfy and nice bathrooms. Greg and the rest of the management/reception staff were friendly and responsive. Cleaning and maintenance crew did a great job too. Cons: be careful with electric/water usage, it can add up to pretty hefty additional charges if you use the air-con a lot...once we realized we could just create a draft with front and patio doors open, it really brought that bill down! Also, the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were actually TOO strong (and I like a breeze while I'm sleeping)...probably worth buying your own small fan for a few hundred baht if you're staying a while. Would certainly recommend to people looking for high-end accommodation. Oh and did I mention those sunsets? Wow!
