I stayed 6 nights at Cookies in March. Would have stayed 7 but was forced to travel home earlier due to corona restrictions in my home country. The hotel kindly refunded me the last night. Hotel has awesome views, especially from the deluxe rooms high up. Stylish rooms with great balconies. Breakfast is also good. When backpacking I am personally seeking peace and solitude. Salad beach is a very easy going beach as such. I also enjoyed my stay at Cookies Salad though it is slightly too much of a familyresort for my liking. Anyway it is a great getaway for couples and families with little children.
A very efficient & friendly welcome. We were picked up from the port (150 bhart each) after phoning to arrange this, as the resort does not reply to emails. As previous reviews state, the resort is on a very steep hill side location, if you have any walking issues, I'd reconsider. The room was basic but idyllic set within semi jungle, ie the birds singing. Great to listen to whilst rocking in my hammock! Breakfast was simple, but in a fantastic setting high above the sea. Once you have negotiated the very steep stairs, you have a choice of a clean swimming pool overlooking the sea or a couple of more stairs and your right on the beach, lovely peaceful bay.
1. Hotel is located on Haad salad which is a beautiful beach! Clear and shallow waters, great for children or adults who cant swim very well (or slightly drunk adults) 2. Rooms are clean and the balcony is spacious. The bed was hard but I had very good sleep on it! They provide bath robes and lemongrass bath gel (very refreshing after a day on the beach) 3. There is a small minimart about 5 mins walk on the beach - which means you dont really need to leave haad salad 4. You can rent a bike from the hotel - it is safe and trustworthy 5. Food, drinks & service in the hotel’s restaurant is amazing! We spent most of our meal times here because we love the view, the service and the quality of food of course. We tried the tom yum, pad thai, pad kra pow, chicken burger, coconut milk cappuccino, long island tea, gin&tonic and last but not least banana fritters -a must try-!!! …
Great value for money. We’ve got seaview room with a breakfast for 2 just for 740THB (October 2019). Thus room with breakfast costs 320THB per person (the usual price of breakfast in Thailand and here you get room also :) Everything was perfect. Amazing, clean, cosy room. Perfect pool directly at the beach. Perfect views. Just a small car parking but that was not an issue. Absolutely love it!
Had a relaxing and refreshing stay at Cookies for our Honeymoon. Our room had a stunning view of the bay which was a pleasure to open my eyes to every morning. The beach itself felt very peaceful and secluded, and was easy to access from the resort. If you do not like to take stairs or walk up hilly terrain this resort may not be for you, but we really embraced the exercise and our legs feel toned and strong after our stay there. Our balcony was absolutely wonderful. There is a hammock for relaxing, and we had a small table and chairs so we could enjoy being outside and had privacy. Our room was clean, fresh, and the bed was clean and comfortable. We really liked the lemongrass shampoo/soap that came with the room, and were grateful for the coffee amenity so we could enjoy a quiet coffee every morning before breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and delicious. We really loved the little fruit and yogurt cups. The service in the restaurant was always so kind. We ate in the restaurant for other meals too and the food was always fresh and delicious. I loved the Massaman Curry and the Phanaeng Curry. The shakes were delicious. The service is helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We were able to coordinate our transfers with them, and borrow snorkel equipment to explore the shallow beach waters. In the water I saw fish, sea cucumbers, crabs, urchins, and even an octopus. It was really a perfect experience. Would love to go again, and will recommend to friends.…
