From the beginning itself, Mr. Duane was very helpful and always replied to my queries. The moment you enter in the old town, you will find the relaxed environment everywhere.......... :) We were greeted by SAMSUNG and he led us to our room, which was amazing. Actually calling it as a room will be injustice....it is a suite that is... More

We came here during the Lalanta festival so the place was buzzing in the evenings, which I am sure is not the case normally. Being over the sea was odd to begin with but the longer we were there the nicer it got. With the tide coming and going the constant sound of the sea was very dramatic, especially the... More

We were highly excited at the prospect of staying in a solid teak studio on the end of a pier as it would be something out of the ordinary. When we arrived we were shown to the "Banana House" (just beside the three suites). It was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and it was well presented right throughout.... More

I am not sure how people are so enamored with this place. I did NOT have the lovely experience that others are expressing and I really really wish that I did. If you see all of the other reviews that I have left for my travels, I ALWAYS have positive praises. (nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all,... More

myself and my wife stayed here for just 1 night in villa 1. The view was stunning and the room was perfect in every way! The breeze from the ocean mad the room very cool and fresh. We would highly recommend it to anybody and we will definitely visit again!

Waking up to the sun rising and tide rushing in across the mud flats, sleeping to the surrounding sounds of water all around and below, lounging in the hammock on the porch. we stayed for 11 nights and loved it. Duane was injured on a motor bike, but Steve, Nan, and James took over as good hosts. Old Town was... More

We spent 2 nights here as part of our trip to Ko Lanta. Overall, we had a great time but there are a couple of things which I feel could be improved. First the positives: This place has a lot of character and the view from the deck is amazing. We had the one bed villa which has folding doors... More

Being kind of a high-maintenance traveler, I decided to try something different and booked Seafront Suite 1 at Mango House. Duane, the owner, was very helpful with our reservation and booking our transfer from Krabi airport to the house. Once, we arrived, we fell in love with the quiet/authentic feel of the old town village and its residents. The house... More

The place itself is reasonably nice, quite rustic and not necessarily luxury. Quite far from the beach though and you have to fork out quite a bit to get private transport to the other side of the island. Nice if you wanna get away from the standard tourist accommodations though. The owner in our experience is a bit blunt and... More
