We made the decision to stay at Lanta thip house based on previous reviews on this site. We were certainly not disappointed, from the 1st minute we walked into the hotel Thip was the most fantastic host. We were upgraded to rooms overlooking the pool and they are really nice rooms, they were absolutely spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the aircon was most welcome with the heat being what it was during our stay. All of the staff are extremely helpful and they all go the extra mile in ensuring the guests are very well looked after.
Thip also arranged day trips for us and got us very good deals. The location for us was ideal, nearest beach was approx 15 min walk or couple of minutes in tuk tuk or taxi , of which there a plenty going up and down the road outside hotel. The hotel does also provide scooters for hire , we didn’t take up the offer as Chang & mai Tai’s don’t really work well with a scooter , but other guests who were using them all seemed very happy with the condition of them.
We also had several lunches at the hotel whilst we were having lazy days around the pool and the food was really good as good if not better than the numerous restaurants in the local vicinity. Also the smoothies they make are possibly the best ever.
All in all I would advise anyone thinking of staying on the island to book this hotel, you will definitely not be disappointed.
My only real surprise is that there a couple of negative comments on here , which I find amazing frankly , I appreciate we are all different and maybe are looking for different things from a hotel , but trust me and make this the choice for any stay on this island , like us I’m sure you will not be disappointed and will kick yourselves for choosing somewhere else.
Thip also provides a library of books for guests to borrow if you fancy a read, just a shame the couple who were staying here from Penang took this literally and made off with 3/4 books without putting them back.
A big thank you to Thip and all the staff for making our stay on koh Lanta an unforgettable one and we will 100% be booking this hotel when we return

This place is absolutely great! Its very very clean and cute. The staff is so nice and helpful. We unfortunately couldn’t drive motorbikes, and the owner went out of her way to help us find ways of transportation and not get ripped off. She called on our behalf and was incredibly helpful.
Our room was spacious, very clean, no bugs or insects, air conditioning available in the room, comfortable and clean beds.
The pool area was very beautiful and clean. They also have breakfast available to order in the morning that was delicious.
Its a very short walk to the beach, there are a couple of bars and a nice restaurant on the beach that was very lovely as well.
Highly recommend this place. Its perfect for a nice, quiet and relaxing vacation.

True what everyone says, Thip and her team truly care and there for you in anyway you need, we actually extended our stay whilst here.
Location is excellent for exploring the island, 15min to salander, 15/20min to national park, 10min to old town (nicest road to drive).
Rooms are spacious, minimist style, good air con, water pressure, hot water and WiFi
Pool perfect for cooling down after day of exploring, loungers and deck chairs even a hammock available.

We have just returned home after staying at lanta Thip house for 15 nights, this was a return visit as we stayed here just before covid struck. We had a fantastic stay the 1st time and this latest stay was just as good if not better. Thip and her staff go out of their way to ensure all guests have an incredible stay and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Thip will book excursions, arrange pick ups and rent scooters and all at a very good cost.
The rooms are incredibly clean and the breakfast choices on offer are really good.
The swimming pool was excellent and the location is superb, just 5-10 min walk to nearest beaches.
During our time spent here the last couple of weeks, there were several guests who initially booked to stay a couple of nights but ended up extending as they like us found it such an incredible place to stay.
I don’t think words themselves can do Thip and her staff / hotel the justice they deserve , I think anyone looking to stay on koh lanta should book to stay here and see for themselves, I guarantee you will not be disappointed and like us it will leave you with the desire to come back and stay at Thip house again , we cannot wait to return

This is my 3rd time staying with Thip @ Thip house. I always have such an awesome time staying there. It’s a great location on the island & Thip can help with anything from mopeds, ferries & day trips. The breakfast is so tasty too the French toast with chocolate 10/10

From the moment we were greeted by Thip, we knew we'd picked the right place to stay for our first trip to Koh Lanta. We were upgraded to the deluxe rooms by the pool and they didn't disappoint. Very spacious and clean. Living in Australia, you'd think we'd be used to the heat but the icy cold air con was fantastic.
Breakfast each morning and a few lunches when we decided to have lazy days around the pool were lovely.
Thip and the staff were always smiling and went above and beyond our needs and expectations. Nothing was too much trouble.
Klong Khong beach is an easy 15 minute walk but there are plenty of taxis and tuk tuks on the road.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when we next visit Koh Lanta.
Breakfast each morning and a few lunches when we decided to have lazy days around the pool were lovely.
Thip and the staff were always smiling and went above and beyond our needs and expectations. Nothing was too much trouble.

Where do I start? Thip (the owner and manager) is an absolute angel! I can honestly say she is the nicest manager of a hotel I have ever met and bent over backwards to help me. Particularly as I was a solo female traveler. She helped organise day trips for me and airport transfers. She also organised for a friend to take me down to the beach and back every evening so I wasn't alone (walking would've been fine too, the area is very safe, but it was hugely apricated). I've always been a bit skeptical about how much difference nice staff make, but it really turned my stay there from being another hotel to feeling like home.
The whole hotel and room was spotless and really comfortable, large too. The swimming pool was great. I absolutely loved the food in the restaurant too and would've happily eaten all my meals there.
It's about a 7minute walk to lots of shops, restaurants and bars, and about a 10- 15minute walk to the beach, which has lots of restaurants and bars too.
Koh Lanta in general is a bit trickier to get around as a solo traveler. You either hire a scooter or get taxis everywhere. But to be honest, Klong Khong beach has everything you need anyway, nice resturants, bars, shops, atmosphere. Very chilled out vibes without being boring.
I'd love to return one day!

Thip is the best host, she is super servicial, kind and helpful. We felt really confortable in this hotel. The rooms are quiet and clean. The hotel has a nice swimming pool. It is few minutes walking to the beach.
