We were guests at the Lanta Palace Beach Resort & Spa. For those who don't know, this resort reopened in 2022 (completely reopened in 2023 with more new villas) and is lovingly run by a very friendly Swiss couple. We were confused by the negative videos on YouTube and almost didn't get to spend part of our vacation there. A heavenly place to relax for those seeking peace and quiet. All 24 villas are lovingly furnished, nothing is missing - coffee, water is free. In the bathroom you will find everything you need and you don't actually have to bring all that stuff from home. Shampoo and shower gel also smell really good, not as cheap as in most hotels. The staff is very attentive and fulfills every wish, whether it's the cleaner, gardener or waiter - everyone is very friendly and accommodating. In the afternoon, Eastern skewers are served and you are always provided with ice water. The breakfast was sensationally good, all kinds of coffee specialties, whether cold or hot. Smoothies, fresh juices. Eggs in all variations. Fresh fruit, home-made bread, sausage, cheese. Salads and hot dishes. We didn't have lunch. Dinner ranges from Asian - European - American, and everything tastes fantastic. The portions are more than sufficient and the prices are only a fraction higher than in the surrounding Thai restaurants. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. there is happy hour at the beach bar - there you can get a selection from the cocktail menu for an incredible 150 baht. We tried almost all of them and they were all very good and delicious. We give it 5 out of 5 stars because there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back!

Whether you're newly in love, on your honeymoon or an old married couple like us... enjoy "adult only" and feel more like a family member than a guest in no time. In this gem that Sam and Jackie have created, the owners and every single member of staff will look after you with loving attention, so that no wish is left unfulfilled.
The villas are large and spacious and offer all the amenities you could wish for. Whether it's the fluffy (and good-smelling!) towels, a quiet and easily controlled AC or the clothes rack on the terrace - it's the little things that make this hotel stand out from the crowd.
The hotel restaurant not only impresses with its location on the beach, but also offers excellent cuisine. When the sun sets spectacularly and you put your feet in the sand while watching the little hermit crabs wandering around, you can enjoy the great Thai cuisine and forget for a moment that you'll have to leave this wonderful place again at some point.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Quietly located and with direct access to the beach, which is only shared with the hotel next door. But still close enough that you can be in the middle of the action with a short 10/15 minute walk. There you will find plenty of restaurants as well as a Lotus and a 7/11 - so your physical well-being is well taken care of.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the Lanta Palace. We were able to stay there for 6 days and enjoyed every day. Many thanks again to the entire Lanta Palace team!

To sum it up in one sentence: we had the perfect holiday at the Lanta Palace Beach Resort.
It starts with the hotel concept: 24 villas for 2 people each (adults only), spread out in a beautiful garden. The complex is not even particularly large (which keeps the paths short), but thanks to the well thought-out positioning and the lush vegetation, each bungalow offers its residents sufficient privacy.
The villas are very large, the furnishings are solid. The vanity in the bathroom (with two sinks) is larger than you'll find in a hotel. The bed is also top notch. You get up in the morning and think: "Is something missing?" Then you realize: no back pain. The mattresses beat everything you've ever found in other hotels.
It's all these so-called little things that make the furnishings perfect. For example, the USB ports in the power plugs for charging cell phones. The owners have really designed everything perfectly here with great attention to detail.
The pool (with always enough loungers) is also very nice and is just a few steps from the sea. The quality of the restaurant is also very good and offers enough variety, even if you spend a week or more here and never eat out.
The most important factor, however, that makes a stay at the Lanta Palace an unforgettable experience is the human factor. Specifically the employees, whose friendliness and helpfulness even exceeds the already high Thai standards. Whether it is the receptionist, the waiter or the gardener who meets you on the way to the bungalow - everyone greets you with a smile. And finally the owners: Jacky and Sam, a Swiss couple, are simply the perfect hosts. Always present, always approachable, always friendly, always helpful.
We have been to many hotels, but we have never experienced such a combination of extremely high level of service at an absolutely fair price and with such a human and pleasant touch. Jacky, Sam and their team have created something great with this hotel. For this they clearly and without reservations get 5 stars (they deserve much more).

This was a first visit, but we’ve already booked next year. The position right on the beach facing due west is fabulous. We booked a Beach Villa and we were lucky enough to have A1 which is considered the best one by the staff. A1 has a large bedroom and bathroom situated just off the beach and with a pole position view of the sea and the glorious sunsets. It’s a boutique adults only hotel with only 24 rooms and it never feels crowded by the pool or on the beach. The restaurant has an extensive menu of Thai, Mediterranean and other international dishes. We had breakfast and dinner there with the odd lunch for the eleven days of our stay. We never tired of the menu and we thought the Thai dishes were especially good; prices are reasonable and when you consider all meals are either on or right by the beach, tremendous value for money. This place genuinely does tick all the boxes for an adult beach holiday. Did I mention the homemade ice cream? It’s an absolute ‘must have’ which I achieved just about every night. How long is our stay next year? We’ve upped it to 14 nights which is all you really need to know. Just one more thing to mention which is the outstanding service delivered by everyone from the owner to every single member of staff; nothing is ever too much trouble.

Lanta Palace is an oasis on Koh Lanta. Like a five star resort with four star prices, it’s got everything you can find at a large stylish resort but it’s small and the staff makes it feel quite personable. Sharing a spectacular piece of small beachfront with a five star resort that’s more expensive, rocks separate it from the long stretch of beach where many other resorts are located which makes it feel like a private beach. Although it’s accessible by anyone, you’d have to know it’s here so it’s mostly resort guests.
Unlike many beach resorts, they have enough loungers and umbrellas at or near the pool or on the beach for all the guests even when it’s full. The pool is large but not huge and water temp is good. They’ll arrange boat or day trips but local transport is always available. Rooms have a large comfy bed and large bathroom as well as TV, fridge, patio, room safe, good WiFi and decent shower and amenities.
Most people don’t drive cars to get there but we are not motorbike people and driving on the island is quite easy even in peak season because thankfully (for now) Koh Lanta remains mostly a hidden gem. The island locals are mostly Thai Muslim and low income so we enjoy patronizing many local businesses as well as the hotel restaurant. Mom and pop is usually delicious and the owners smile and appreciate your business. (Although in Old Lanta they are Chinese descendants so don’t try to bargain if you go there as they’d rather take no sale than less than what they want.)
The weather is sunnier and not quite as humid as more popular beach areas of Thailand making Koh Lanta one of the last remaining tourist islands not ruined by large ethnic bombardments or over development. Hopefully it remains that way. Overall, the Lanta Palace is an excellent choice with great staff. Highly recommends

Unique experience, from impeccable hospitality to the total care of every member of staff. The secret?I think it is just the atmosphere that you breathe from the first moment of arrival until the final greetings. The feeling, rare, to feel in a family but always with the utmost discretion and respect. The 24 villas, for adults only, are very spacious, cozy and comfortable. The times of course are dictated to the relaxation of the guest: breakfast until 10.30 with homemade products, no worries about the beach / pool beds that are in abundance and a restaurant that remains open from after breakfast until dinner, with various products, for all tastes, of fair quality 'and with tables up on the sand (recommended and also frequented by outsiders). The beach and 'very beautiful and with only two resorts, so not very long, but with a beautiful and transparent sea. You can 'move to the adjacent beach, much longer, for a walk or to stop in one of the many bars. To get around this island, not very social and very quiet, or rent a scooter (cheaper) or take taxi: with 800bath a / r you can go to OLD town (picturesque and with a market of real local crafts) or with 1000 a / r get to saladan (evening market not among the most beautiful seen in Thailand, but with many restaurants and services) Thanks to the owners always present with great discretion, but ready to customer needs. Thanks to all the staff without distinction, make you feel a guest gradito.Sempre with a smile from morning to night, despite fatigue or heat, with the goal of making your stay perfect. Lovely small quiet hotel, 24 bungalows. Everything is beautiful and appealing. The rooms are nicely furnished and there are two wardrobes so you each have your own, there are also two sinks in the bathroom. The beds are comfortable, there are TVs that you can connect to and watch movies, as well as modern chargers for your electronics. The staff are smiling and always standing up and also fixing things that you don't realize they can do. It is an Adults only hotel so the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The pool area is optimal, located in front of the beach and you can lie by it in the comfortable sun loungers and choose between swimming in the pool or the sea. The breakfast is good, you order a hot drink at the table, as well as what kind of egg dishes you want and a smoothie of your choice. The rest from the buffet. Something that could be better? The guests sometimes have to run after flying umbrellas, but understood that it is in the works, to get more stable umbrella feet. The terraces, which are nice, have no stairs down, only those at the front by the pool. Got the answer that it's so that people don't walk around inside the area and disturb each other. Missed being able to go in/out that way sometimes though. The pool is also a bit awkward to get in and out of. So if you can't handle hearing this via a metal ladder, don't stay here. We stayed in side seaview which was perfect. You could see the sea from the large window that also led to the terrace. Didn't miss the seafront at all. Would love to go back here next time!

Absolutely loved staying at the lanta palace! Sam was so welcoming when we arrived and spoke to us about how him and his wife built this hotel and what an amazing job they have both done with it. The staff are the very best always happy and smiley. This made our experience here as it felt like home. The rooms were spotless and very well designed. The pool was very refreshing and clean and the location was perfect just off the beach front. A beautiful location for a sunset (if the weather is good) the restaurant has perfect seats to watch it set with great cocktail selection and food. Food and cocktails tasted great and there are happy hours between 4pm-6pm. The last day our transport to the port arrived with no room for us to get on so Sam kindly took us to the port in his own car. This was so unbelievably kind of him! Simply the best place with the best staff. Would love to return to lanta palace in the future and hope to see the same smiley faces! Thankyou so much!

Spacious bungalows, nice bathrooms, great mattress, a quiet A/C and a strong WiFi allow guests to focus on the unique location right on the beach. Unobstructed, undisturbed. Lovely and kind staff, everything seems heartfelt. Food is good, Chef Kai dishes up a variety of fare for all tastes. Massages are top notch, outdoors in a beachfront bungalow. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, and Jackie and Sam deserve all the success they can get!

I can 100% recommend this beautiful little resort right at the beach front in a little bay with a great pool, and lovely luxurious villas all sea view situated in a lush garden. The Swiss owners have a great eye for detail, its really stylish decorated with a cosy feel to it. To all this beauty and comfort you can add the really friendly staff and great food for breakfast (included) lunch and diner. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable and romantic stay, this is the place to be!
