Our 2nd time staying at Lanta Sands Resort & Spa, really friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, our room A001, was spacious & spotlessly clean with all amenities that you could possibly need, great choice for breakfast, plentiful sun beds so never had a problem when we chose to sunbathe, we enjoyed the onsite spa for several relaxing massages which were great value in peaceful surroundings
Overall excellent location on a beautiful beach, with plenty of options of restaurants nearby
Highly recommend Lanta Sands, we will definitely be back next year

Professional reception. Help with bags, welcome drink. The hotel was already paid through Agoda so everything was ready.
Bungalow B009, good, was on the B line, the quieter one.
Lovely little bungalow in the form of semi-detached house.
Large nice room, large bright bathroom with outdoor shower and small plunge pool, about 2x3 m.
The outdoor shower and pool were completely protected, no one looks in.
Small closet, safe. Hair dryer. Two different size beach bags. Beach towels ready in the room. 2 glass bottles of water per day.
Large double bed and an extra daybed that doubles as an extra bed.
Breakfast was not included in our price but could be purchased for 350 baths per person, which was cheaper than if we had bought it ready in the room rate. In addition, it gave freedom of choice to go for breakfast elsewhere too, but the breakfast at the hotel was ok indeed.
Sun loungers in different varieties were plentiful above the beach. The best dibs were called before 8 but still at 10 o'clock you could find a few (in the worst places).
Poolerna. At the hotel section there were large pools, tested once, it was good. Otherwise, you never saw anyone there, except a family with children once, because there was a baby part. The reason for sure that everyone wants to be on the beach and this was so far away.
Staying in the hotel part- I haven't seen the rooms, they are certainly quite ok, but would say that it is completely unnecessary to pay for a swimup room in this building, because the terrace to the pool from these rooms was really boring. In shade just a plastic mattress. Who wants to lie there?
However, there were pool rooms at the beach, which were nice. In these pools that the rooms led to, others also get to swim in, but quite rarely did people do it anyway.
The beach was good and lovely to go swimming in. You went out 10 feet and you could just throw yourself in the water. We were lucky, no jellyfish and knitting buddies this year at all.
Staff are everywhere and they look after the area. Recommend.

We stayed a family (children of 8 and 10 years old) in a swim-out family room for 15 days Christmas and New Year 2024/25. It was fantastic! The hotel has a perfect location in the middle of long beach, with plenty of fine restaurants next to the beach. The pool we swam out from was a large 160 cm deep pool, but we were also much in a 120cm pool closer to the beach. We were very excited about the standard of the hotel after reading a lot online about this, but we were very satisfied. Yes, some worn tiles here and there, but everything worked and in brilliant sun and warm water you are not much in the room anyway. Lovely breakfast and many exciting food nights at the hotel, although we mostly ate outside. Very nice New Year show m/buffet on New Year's Eve with a crazy fireworks on the beach. Great service, and varied clientele from all parts of the world, but mostly European. Our kids have grown from a kids club and a baby pool, so we wanted to try another type of resort this time.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my girlfriend. Firstly the staff on the desk were very welcoming and collected our bags from the door and delivered them to our room. We were given a welcome drink on arrival and the check in process was effortless and very efficient. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The pool and beach were a 2 min walk from our door and the beach restaurant serves excellent food. There were no issues during our stay and I was able to rent a bike from the hotel reception which arrived in 5 mins which was also a very efficient service. After checking out a staff member dropped us to the pier where we continued our journey. Shortly after checking out the manager of the hotel (never got his name) emailed me to say I had managed to leave my €300 camera behind in the room. He rang me to organise how to get the camera back to me and went to the effort of bubble wrapping, and boxing up my camera to be delivered to Koh Phi Phi on the same day and rang me during each stage to keep me in the loop as to where my camera is. Once the camera arrived on the island he rang me to tell me where I was able to collect it. This level of customer service cannot go unrecognised and he asked for nothing in return. I can’t urge travellers enough to stay in this hotel. I will be returning 100%. Thank you very much Lanta Staff & Manager!

Quite articulated resort with rooms in three three-storey buildings, plus bungalows of various sizes scattered in the garden
Several swimming pools in some cases adjacent to the rooms.
Nice common areas on the terrace for breakfast and dinners.
It overlooks the beach and the area is easily bathed for lack of reef
The only flaw : it has an insufficient number of beds compared to the n of customers.
Very kind staff and free shuttle to the boat pier.

Lanta Sand Resort & Spa (SHA Plus+)
Our arrival began with the fact that the promised transfer was not waiting at the pier and we had to get there on our own. The girl at the reception simply shrugged her shoulders, we did not receive any apologies or compliments from the hotel.
We took the villa with a view of the sea and its own access to the pool. You should immediately understand that 4 villas overlook the pool, but all residents can use the pool. If you like to relax during the day, then this is unlikely to work out. Children jump, play ball, squeal. There are 4 houses on one side of the restaurant and 4 on the other. I recommend that the management make one side 16+, both the houses and the pool. This will give comfort to guests.
After the Marriott network, everything irritated me for the first day, the air conditioner makes loud noises when switching at night, the water in the shower is not regulated properly, the pillow is not comfortable.
But after a day all this herd is not noticeable.
The hotel has a soul, it feels like Thailand and relaxation.
The staff is very attentive. You feel at home. This is reflected in the guests; everyone is very friendly to each other.
Non works on the beach and in the restaurant (Non is his name), he tries all day to make the guests’ stay comfortable, sweeps sand from the sunbeds, brings drinks, and pays attention to you. On the penultimate day of our stay, just casually in conversation, I mentioned that a family with small children had moved in through the wall and we didn’t get any sleep at all. The man went and told the manager. I did not ask.
Direct came, a very attentive person, always communicates with guests, conducts programs in the restaurant, and offered us the other side of the villas. There were a day left before departure, and I said that there was no need to worry. Imagine my surprise when, about 30 minutes later, he came up and said that he had agreed with the guests and changed their house so that we would also be happy on the last day. This attitude is very pleasant, and I definitely want to return to this hotel.
Breakfast is also good. Once every 2-3 days of the program at the beach bar. There are a lot of sun loungers, everything is well maintained. I walked along the beach every morning and couldn’t see a better hotel.
If you are looking for a Thai holiday, I definitely recommend the hotel.
If you expect European service, then the hotel will not suit you.

A hotel located on Long Beach. Very quiet and right on the beach.

We had a bungalow room with a small private pool. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very spacious.

The room service seemed to be available around the clock.

The staff were very friendly overall. Above all, “Non” was a superlative employee. Omnipresent and extremely friendly and always helpful. He took time for each guest and took care of everything to make the stay even more unforgettable. “Roof” and “View” were also very friendly to us.

The direct beach location allowed a great view of the sunset every evening.

The hotel has a car and scooter rental company. The price is a bit higher, but returning etc. was completely unproblematic.

The fitness room is small, but the technicians were interested in making sure everything worked.

The beach is perfect for strolling, walking, jogging, etc.

We experienced a nice welcome to the Lanta Sand Resort at Koh Lanta Island.
The room was clean and comfortable located facing the hotel reception and pool on the second floor with a connecting door to another room where you heard the other guests talking like they sit in the same room as us. Complimentary water, amenities, bathrobes, and beach bags where available in the room.
The drainplug in the sink was missing, the shower head was calcified so the water went everywhere in the bathroom while taking a shower. The water also did not reach a warm temperature at all. We went to the Front Desk to address the problem and they send someone up right away to fix it. We had warm water for one day and for the remaining time of our stay only chilly water while taking a shower - not comfortable!
The best part of our experience at the Lanta Sand Resort is the staff at breakfast in the restaurant. Mr. Kong the F&B Manager welcomes you with a big smile bye name and keeps enjoyable conversation with all guests on a level that really makes the difference!
His staff and chef are also very guest driven, attentive and kind. They ask how you are doing, fill up food as soon as possible and assist when needed.
Mr.Kong, Mr. Non and Ms. Ya are the best part of visiting this hotel as they take care of your wellbeing, are professional and kind at all times.
Thank you very much for making our stay memorable and more enjoyable and keep up the excellent work!

It was our first time on Koh Lanta and we stayed at Lanta Sand for 16 nights. We felt very comfortable. Villa B013 with plunge pool. Yes, not everything is perfect: the water pressure in the bathroom fluctuates and when the first person to shower in the morning, there is a smell coming from the shower drain. But we must not forget that we are in a tropical country with hot temperatures and on an island. The friendliness of the staff, whether at reception, the restaurant or room service, makes up for everything. We would particularly like to highlight Khun Merry and Pong at reception and Khun Gik in the restaurant. Simply magical. No matter what we wanted, it was taken care of immediately. We rented a scooter from the hotel. The price was fair and the process was impeccable. It might have been a few baht cheaper on the street, but this way we always had someone to talk to and the scooter was impeccable. The massages/manicures in the hotel's own spa were heavenly. The breakfast buffet is also more than sufficient: egg station, salads, various fruits, sausage and cheese, pastries, Thai dishes - perfect for us.
Conclusion: if you want to find a fault, you will find one. We really enjoyed our vacation and will definitely come back. Because Koh Lanta is a great island.

This was our third stay at Lanta Sand Resort on the beautiful Ko Lanta Island. It was like 2 weeks in heaven and the care & service for us was better than ever. More about that shortly.

We were not able to stay in our Favorite Villa with Plunge Pool as these were all fully booked so we decided to try a Family Plunge Pool room in the main building. These are a little cheaper than the villas but the space is similar, if not slightly bigger. The room is great for a family of four having two separate sleeping areas, one with a king bed and next door two singles. As we were only two the space seemed huge! Instead of a balcony we had a private pool yet we were on the 3rd floor! An unusual design but fun all the same. In fact it was extremely hot during our stay so the pool was a welcome treat each evening.

Breakfast was fantastic as ever with a great choice of European, American and Thai cuisine along with the usual eggs cooked to order. We ran into some friends at the hotel and on several occasions we all started breakfast at 9ish and didn't leave on until midday. The staff were great and didn't seem to mind although it must have been inconvenient for them.

Now the service: When we left to go home via Phuket we realised we had left our USB caddy plugged into the back of one of the bedroom TV's (you get 2 TV's in the suite). I contacted Lanta Sand from my hotel in Phuket and after a bit of searching it was found in lost property. I offered to pay for it to be posted to our home in Perth Australia or a courier from the island to Phuket. They refused to take any money and promptly couriered the caddy to us in Phuket. Brilliant service and very efficient. My thanks go out to Ms. Chonthicha Saiburee Lanta Sand Reservation Officer for arranging everything and making out trip a delight. We will be back again later in the year.
