We've stayed at Lanta Palace Hill Resort in January 2015. Though it may seem that this hotel is far from the sea it shouldn't stop you from living here: clean and cosy bungalows with all you may need in Thai including refrigerator, air-con and wi-fi (working from time to time but why bother? There' s a cafe nearby with free... More

Lanta Palace hill is a rather nice place but don't expect too much if you decide to stay there. It is across the road from the beach. The bungalow was very big and so was the bed. The rest of the furniture was pretty old and a bit dusty. Air con working but, if on for too long, it started... More

We stayed here for a week in April and absolutely loved it! We got the small chalets in the garden area (not the beach end) which meant a 10min walk to the beach but that wasn't a bother! The room itself was lovely and clean and had possibly the most garish mosquito net I've ever seen! Ha! But it was... More

Really nice rooms 400baht with a/c for twin room (off season). Free wifi. Really helpful and friendly staff. Was upset that they kept a pet monkey but they explained that they found him as a baby almost dead, they looked after him and tried to reintroduce him to the wild but he became too domesticated and the other monkeys attacked... Reception staff were good and very helpful on arrival at the resort. They explained that the facilities of the sister hotel were also available for our use. The breakfasts were ok and nothing more was expected due to the religious beliefs of the staff, not easy serving pork products if you're Muslim. Service was always polite at breakfast. The 'bar'... We stayed from 27th December 2013 over the new year to 3rd January 2014. We chose Koh Lanta for our New year celebrations because we have been before and it was by the sea. The resort facilities were at the main hotel on the beach which was less than a 5 min walk. At the main resort was a bar/restaurant... More

We booked this from booking.com for 1 night breakfast included. At first it seemed like very nice place to stay but then the problems started. I think it was bad luck too. We got scorpion in our toilet but staff taked care of it. Frog and other bugs too.. Room wasn't that good but staff, "bar" and monkey was nice.... More

We came to Koh Lanta without a reservation at New Year's - first mistake. Taxi takes you to resorts that pay them to do so; and those resorts then demand triple their usual rate for their "last room". Beggars can't be choosers so we ended up at Lanta Palace Hill Resort. Highlights: Bungalows really dirty. Sticky floors, smelly bathroom, live... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in a bungalow. Breakfast was included. You can use the swimming pool 300m from the resort, just by the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff always with a smile on their faces. They helped us with scooter renting, 4 island trip booking and arranging transport to the airport. I recommend it, if you are... My two friends and I came here for 3 nights, and it was absolutely magical. The staff looked after us so well, did absolutely everything to help us out. We rented scooters from the owners for 200 baht a day and they gave us a map showing us some beautiful spots to go to on Lanta and it was an... More
