We stayed for 4 nights. The staff at reception are miserable, can barely look up and when they do, without a smile. The rooms are comfortable - but you need to be careful where you end up, ideally around the pool, which we did. The rooms are good, but somewhat run down and housekeeping do a half hearted job. In a nutshell, beautiful location, tired resort, poor breakfast and not ideal if you like to lay in the sun by a pool. Read on if you would like to know more. I'm currently at the hotel so this is as up to date as it can be. We booked to stay at the Crown Lanta for six nights in...

We stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed it. The resort is located on a hill, so you either get used to climbing and descending hills, or air around for their little shuttles to take you around. The rooms are nice, but there is a lot of needed maintenance around the property. Our room had people under in and...

Spent 7 nights here over Christmas and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't happy with the first they gave me as it was on the ground floor and lacked privacy. However, the staff happily arranged an alternative room, and we absolutely loved it. Gorgeous sea view and amazing sunsets every day. The hotel grounds are stunning and...

The marketing photos of Crown Lanta are truly impressive and beautiful, but don't be fooled. This place is terribly dated, smells awful, and has the worst service I've ever experienced anywhere in Asia, from reservations, to rentals, to the spa, to their bars and restaurants. The staff members look and feel miserable, and convey that misery to the guests. Don't...

My wife and I met a friend and his girlfriend here for 3 nights with NYE being the first night. I'll start by saying that the hotel is very dated and clearly hasn't been taken care of. The rooms are ok, not the cleanest we stayed in in Thailand and the deck is very nice. The resort is located on...

Very disappointing stay. Service was terrible -- this is not a well run hotel. huge resort like feel with overpriced food/drinks. Virtually no one at reception speaks decent English despite billing themselves as a 4/5 star hotel. Had to call 3 times to get them to come by our room to pick up our bags so we could head to...

Kent - we're sorry to hear our resort did not live up to your expectations. It's unfortunate to hear the service during your stay was disappointing, as generally this is one of the areas we excel at. Again, our apologies and we do appreciate your feedback.

This hotel is well located on a hill overlooking a pretty beach, and the Andaman sea. It feels secluded while actually being only a short tuk tuk ride from Sala Dan. Rooms are great, perfectly proportioned, nicely furnished with everything you would expect from a first class resort. Ours also benefited from a large shady balcony overlooking the pool. The...

Mundii - thank you very much for your very detailed and helpful review. It sounds like you had a very delightful stay with us, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the location, your room, the onsite shuttle, the breakfast, and overall management of the resort. The tip about the minibar is also a great one - the prices are...

I booked this hotel for a weeks holiday as it had good reviews on tripadvisor. I paid £1000 for 7 days which did not include breakfast. We regret to hear you were overall disappointed with your stay. We would, however, like to inform our future and potential guests that if you decide not to eat at the hotel, taking a tuk tuk is not the only option for food. There are beach and sea side restaurants directly on either side of us - both accessible from...

We invite you to experience the privacy and natural setting of our 4.5 star boutique resort. With our property stretching across 22 hectares of park-like land it boasts gentle hills alongside steep cliffs overlooking the sea, an intimate and private white sand beach, as well as access to the famous 3km long Klong Dao Beach. Throughout our 83 generously-sized rooms and villas you’ll get the feeling of Thai contemporary architecture meets gracious Thai hospitality. Relax beside one of our two resort pools, enjoy the tastes of Thailand at our on-site restaurants, and be pampered at our rejuvenating Infinity Spa. In the evenings, sit beachside at our Reggae Bar and enjoy a cocktail while experiencing one of the best shows on the island – the sunset. The island of Lanta is still regarded as a green paradise where you will find splendid scenery such as rugged tree-covered hills, mangroves, and nine white sandy beaches. In addition, the livelihoods of local fishermen continue to depend on the island and it’s surroundings; as you explore the island you will observe them continuing to work and celebrate their heritage. Our resort is ideally located, giving you the privacy of paradise, while also offering access to all the sights and sounds Koh Lanta has to offer.
