They organise lots of trips, rent out scooters and the receptionists are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a big swimming pool.
There are approximately 13 villas spaced nicely in lush tropical gardens . There’s a good sized pool and restaurant area.
At 1200 bht a night we consider this the best value in the area.
The two guys on reception were super helpful, organised a snorkelling tour, rented us a scooter and had our laundry back within hours .
Guests should welcome a harder mattress , mosque prayers at 5am and you’re not directly on the beach ( but the price tells you that )
Definitely will return here 🙏

Bit noisy in the pool area (Road noise).
Handy for the beach and bars, but across the road. Street food outside the hotel (cooked by the hotel staff) very good and cheap.
Beautiful experience.

Very well managed resort. Excellent location. Spacious and functional bungalow rarely found. Attentive and quality staff. Cheap and very good restaurant. Thank you. Sure it's a little dated and could be better. In my opinion it is still an excellent solution.

As like previous comments we got forced into this via the travel agent in phi phi who is a liar,we got told it was a 3hours trip (took 7 from phi phi) we had originally planed to go to ao nang but she basically refused to let us go there!we also got told by the travel agent in phi phi the taxi left us out side the hotel ...instead we got abandoned and left for 45 mins waiting for the resort to lift us!
The room was a good size although there where plenty of ants inside the room and the outside door was easily opened without a key!they also refused to make up the room in our 2 night stay
I had toast and jam for breakfast instead of toast I got microwaved bread, the curries where ok but the staff where very ignorant and the 4 female staff just sat and watched you eat your food and when we paid never said thankyou and threw the change on the table
The ignorance of the staff resulted in us taking the long way around to avoid being stared at by the 6 of them everytime we left or entered the hotel
We refused to pay any more money to the hotel and booked our ticket to koh samui via an independent for 850 bht leaving at 7.30 when we checked out at 7.10 a male staff member wearing only a towel at reception told us our taxi had left and it was our fault for not booking with them this was lies, when our taxi did arrive at the hotel at 7.30 the man continued to shout at us saying ask the other guests how much they paid 800 bht
Avoid this hotel at all costs

There are some points I definitely have to tell you about - please also see the pictures I took attached:
Positive Aspects: The place is near a nice beach (Klong Nin beach) - right across the road. And that's it.
Negative aspects:
1. Nobody ever smiled here. In fact the staff looked quite dangerous and nobody cared at all about us and other guests. The reception area is something like an empty, quite dirty dark hall where the (so called) manager and his family sit around, eat and spit onto the ground and the tables. The atmosphere is dark and extremely unfriedly like we never have seen it in Thailand before.
2. We ordered food and drinks at the reception area once. The tables are dirty but we actaully wanted to give them a chance and show some respect. We had to remind the guy to bring the drinks after ten minutes. There were no other guests but he seemed to have forgotten our order and preferred to hang around. After 15 minutes we got our first chicken with cashewnut which contained old sausage pieces and a big fried spinder. We decided not to eat there any more - guess why.
3. The room was dirty and somehow absolutely run down. We had ants in our beds and after two days were covered my ant bites (or other insect bites). In the second night we discovered two cockroaches right underneath the pillow in our bed (see picture) - which kept us awake and standing the rest of the night. A third cockroach waited for us right at the bathroom door (see pictures).
4. Staff is extremely lazy. They won't make up the room if you don't tell them to. It is not enough to hang the "pls. clean room" sign outside onto the door. You have to tell them - sometimes even twice. One day they took the old towels and did not bring new ones. This I told the (so called) manager and asked for towels. After two hours there were still no towels in the room. I had to go to the manager once again and he had me ask for each and every towel - he went into the room and came back with one, then I had to ask for a second one, then I had to ask for a small one, and so on. These guys are unbelievably uninterested in services or guetsts!
5. We have booked with booking.com and payd over 80 Euro (3200 B) with no breakfast inkluded a night. For this money you can stay two nights in clean and friendly places, even right at the beach at peak season on Ko Lanta or in Ao Nang. That we know now. We have met only very unsatisfied guetsts (read the other reviews here). Walk in rates - at that time were 50 Euro (200 B) inkludig breakfast. So: If you - for some reason - want to stay herer: Don't book in advance - you will pay much more! We asked kindly for a discount because of the booking.com best rate guarantee - the guy a the reception told us he would get the police. There's nothing more to say ... we payd and left this place.
6. Rooms (at least second row) do not have a safe. A big sign on the wall says, that the management does not feel responsible for the guest's valuables. We decided to carry them around rather than leaving them in the room. That was not much fun.
7. Asking for a motorbike the manager told us, that they need a passport. We said we will be back in five minutes and went to the room to get the passport. Coming back nobody was there any more. An old lady - who sits around in the dark corner all the time - then told us "Finish, close, go next door". That's what I call service for the customer.
8. At arrival the manager wanted us to pay everything up. We told him that this was the first time ever in a resort that we were asked to pay at arrival. He became quite rude and told us, that we have to pay anyway. After we got to know many people who wanted to leave early I now understand why he wanted us to pay the bill at arrival. Don't do that.
9. Internet and Wifi do not work. On the first day the shower head fell onto my head. There's no guest service at all. Cleaning staff make much noise in the morning. One of the guys at the reception asked me if I smoke Marihuana. There's not even a hairdryer in the room. And so on...
It's not about muslims. They are very friendly and we stayed at a lot of places we really loved (Chaw-Ka-Cher on Lanta is one of the friendliest places on earth, Horizon - right across the street as well, Sunda Ressort in Ao Nang as well). It's about these guys at the klong nin beach resort (aka klong nin resort) who are extremely lazy and absolutely not interested. The place is a shame and if you pay so much money to have a nice holiday it really hurts so much to arrive at such a place and be caught here.
I am sure that the manager - again - will write some comments on this review. But after heaving read the other reviews and comments I wonder if he should not rather use the time to clean the rooms, set up a basic service and kindness for his guests rather than always write that all the guests and reviewers are too stupid to understand his intention to be kind ... or why else should they all leave his place, search for other places and write bad reviews if they felt good?
We were told that Koh Lanta was amazing (which it is, in it's own way), and more incredible than Phi Phi and that the hotel was incredibly upper class and pristine.
It was not. The accommodation was average, but the thing that has us writing this review is the service. The customer service was terrible. The staff were unwilling and rather rude. Their advertising is also misleading, having one of their brochures saying that there is free transport from the pier and back to the pier again. This is a lie. They will charge you an extra 300 or so THB. The manager was physically agressive with us at one stage, and we felt threatened by his presence.
DO NOT go to this hotel if you are looking for : a relaxing holiday, friendly staff, pristine beaches, good service.
GO TO THIS hotel if you are looking for : false advertising, terrible service, lazy and rude staff.
(The hotel across the road (Andalay Boutique Resort), however, serve an AMAZING American breakfast and offer amazing service)
