Much of the island is like a ghost town, and the hotel was empty when we stumbled across it looking for some food on the beach. The beach restaurant was open and served an excellent menu with Thai and farang food which was delicious and great value for money. We also swam in the pools which were clean and well maintained even in these difficult times. It is so sad to see such lovely places so empty and the staff working so hard. I would recommend popping in for lunch or dinner if you are on the island
We really loved the place, we went there after lockdown and the hotel just start to operate again so it was very quiet and peaceful. The room was absolutely stunning with the Jacuzzi on the balcony watching the clear blue sky and you also be able to see the ocean. Service was super nice but not many choices of food on the menu. (Maybe just because of the covid situation) the place was so chilled and very clean. Highly recommended.
It's a shame that SriLanta Resort and Spa will not refund a booking as I was unable to attend as my country was in lockdown. I gave them plenty of warning for the cancellation but they refused the refund. Even more annoying as I was a returning guest and have stayed there previously.
I write this review as on route to airport. We have just had the most fantastic time at Sri Lanta I honestly can’t see why people would complain and at first was worried because of the bad reviews, we needn’t of been. We booked the transfer through the hotel from Krabi when we landed the mini bus was there waiting for us very smooth transfer which took about 2.5 hours. Arrived at the resort to be greeted by happy friendly staff that all spoke English some better than others but this wasn’t a problem at all. We booked a star path room which was up the hill a little so was taken by buggy the first impression was great room, all brand new lovely furniture and extras such as beach bag and towels and slippers toiletries etc, a massive plus was the tv which had Netflix and loads of stuff to watch just fab. After staying for 4 nights we then had 2 night where our sleep was disturbed greatly by noisy neighbours, my partner had a word with reception as this wasn’t acceptable it woke my 2 year old up also. Anyway this wasn’t the resort fault but the noises guests, we were moved to an earth suite for the last 2 nights which were even better! In hindsight I would of booked these over the star path they are older rooms but definitely larger and just suited us better and I think more families on this block as it was extremely quiet in the evenings. Breakfast was amazing you have to try the curry even this isn’t your usual choice for breakfast! It’s some of the best of best I’ve had in Thailand! But there were lots of other choices too I really don’t know how anyone could complain about it. The beach here is beautiful so are the grounds and swimming pools. Only one thing I think needs sorting is the umbrellas around the pool and beach need to be secured down as most days we had wind and they went flying round the resort and could cause serious injury. The food in the beach restaurant was lovely not too overpriced either which other people have suggested it was around 200 baht for a main course, All the staff were super friendly, I would come back in a heart beat, like I mentioned the only thing to complain about would be the umbrellas! Fantastic Sri Lanta thank you for an unforgettable stay …
We really liked this hotel in Ko Lanta. We stayed in the forest suite with the Jacuzzi on the balcony which was lovely. Shame we didn't see any monkeys! The shower temperature was very temperamental but it didn't bother me too much. They have four pools which were really nice and the beach was lovely with lots of restaurants and bars. Ko Lanta is a very chilled island so if that's your thing then I highly recommend this place.
