Enjoyed a brief stay in heritage buildings of Ayutthaya retreat with friends. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant is nicely located around pond and serves local Thai cuisine. Property is quietly located just outside the main city and tourist area.

The venue was lovely and the room was clean and very well decorated. The bathroom was beautiful and luxurious. The staff was super welcoming and they helped us book a tuktuk to go in town. They really do everything to have us spend a great stay. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant menu had both Thai and Western dishes all delicious. Highly recommended and would love to stay there again !

This place is so outstanding and I'm 200% sure that you will be impressed by its style, decoration, Thai food & dessert. I only came for lunch, not stay overnight. This place is a wooden old-fashioned style house and pavilion, with a pond full of the lotus at the center of the site and other settings and decor that make this restaurant an exceptional atmosphere.

I have an experience in Thai Style Deluxe Room which was comfortable. The location is far from the city. On the day, Full of cafe's customer during the day. Coconut cake is delicious. Breakfast is very good including main dish, coffee-tea, orage juice, Thai-style dessert.

the best part of this hotel, were the staff especially an older lady with white hair, who spoke excellent english, and was extremely helpful. Also the young man at reception, who on our very late arrival (Restaurant closed) offered to drive us to a Restaurant. Recommend it. Super style and ambience and traditional.

It is a lovely place and i would recommend. However for the money which is more than many in Ayutthaya there were a couple of issues. When we arrived around 7:15pm there was no one at reception we waited 10 minutes calling out ‘hello’ but no one came. When we went looking all the staff were sat around a bench in the restaurant all on their phones and chatting. We said we had a long day travelling and wanted to eat. The restaurant closed at 8pm so then the check felt rushed. Also as a vegetarian i was very disappointed at the lack of options on the menu, it has great reviews for food but they couldn’t adapt any dishes, so i only really had a choice of fried rice on the couple of times we ate there. We choose somewhere that was a bit more pricey and did expect a better welcome and service. Having said all that the place is lovely, the room was fabulous and the breakfast was the best we have experienced in Thailand as an inclusive breakfast. Delicious. We would definitely recommend the Thai Massages. It is further away from the centre and it was around 200 baht for a Tuk Tuk, but we knew this when we booked. Overall a super place with charm and character.

I really enjoyed the architecture, the rooms and historic decorations all over the place. Lots of different type of seating around the heart of the hotel, the pond. However I was very disappointed about the pool. They should either remove it entirely or built new one. It's entirely ran down, Sun lounger filthy, pool water dirty. Also, I was surprised that this type of boutique hotel would not offer a welcome drink upon check-in. I'd return if they'd have a nicer pool.

We tried to find a quiet place but this wasn’t it. At 4:50 you could hear the monks next door praying and then people downstairs preparing breakfast. The bathroom access was awkward and difficult at night. Breakfast was a la carte and very limited, not buffet. Quite far from the town.

We were a party of nine and we stayed one night at this hotel. We (a couple, one 3yrs old kid and 2 teenagers) were extremely pleased with our room and its location. Our villa was nearby the swimming pool and the pond. I like a lot the villa it was gorgeous and very well decorate; I had the impression to be in a true Thai house! I loved the open aired bathroom. The other 4 were in 2 separate wooden rooms. We took some excellent drinks, enjoying the sunset at the bar and in the morning, we all enjoy our breakfast in the wooden restaurant. The place is not too big and the staff is friendly I was surprised by the fact that the hotel was not full. Maybe people rather prefer to go to place closer to the city of Ayutthaya. They don't know what they are missing. Ayutthaya retreat is really well named: this hotel is really lovely, charming and of course peaceful. I recommend it if you like to be in a romantic location surrounded by lovely and friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice... all in wood. 11 rooms only so it is not full of "bus tourists" ! There is 7 rooms around the patio and 4 villas... I prefer the rooms around the patio (more style) and very unique The staff is very friendly Definitively a place to recommend One negative point : you cannot book directly to the hotel, you need to book via an OTA (Agoda, booking.com,...)... It is a pity because I like to book my room directly to the hotel, without a third party (I have called the hotel to do the booking but they invite me to book with OTA)...
