We spent a night at this hotel recently while attending a wedding. Being close to the wedding venue my friend requested us to stay here. The hotel is located out side the main city and the surroundings are not very clean and approach roads are in bad shape. The rooms by themselves are average in size and have the very basic facilities. Sound insulation in the rooms is not good. Towels were old and frayed and the bathroom had just a bar of soap in the name of toiletries. Even toilet paper was not provided despite our request. Since the room had been used by some other guests before we moved in our request to do it up was not accepted. Overall this hotel is very average and I may not come back here again.

I had stayed at Ishan Villa in 2009 for my company training for about 12 days, Mr.Vivek the Owner and his Wife are great person helping you out in any manner they can, they help you suggest Best place for Shopping, They Help in advising what best way to move around in city, Ishan Villa also has good collection of Antiques in hotel and specially at their Reception counter. Good Food, Good Staff, Neat and Clean, Best in Hygiene.

It's been a wonderful two nights experience at Hotel Ishan Villa. Second evening was truly memorable. Thank you Vivek ji, for being a perfect host. A great dinner, followed by interactive activities, arm wrestling, Austrian guests dancing to Indian film music and much more. Thanks again for accommodating us till late evening for a very very reasonable charge as we had a late flight from Amritsar. Guide and the driver you provided were the best and very helpful at each stage. Thanks a ton.

I strongly recommend everyone not to choose this hotel to stay. No minimum facilities but charging heavy amounts. Not comes under 3 star. Geyser controlled by hotel members… by keeping it switch outside the room. Food hopeless and tasteless. No hygienic . Only ambiance good. Charging heavy amount for water bottle…40/- for one bottle For this uncomfortable rooms while leaving , a thorough checking done and charging heavy amount intentionally. So again and again cautioning..not to visit this hotel to waste your money.

This place is really terrible. 1. Very very unprofessional staff. 2. They asked for cash everytime you order something. 3.Very egostic staff memebers didn't answer your query.They have asked to pay for towel laundary as we have used it for makup cleaning. 4. No room service even you don't get water bottel in room.TV is there but no remote😀 5.Even they poke you everytime you order someting to make payment. 6. Far from city you didn't get any cab and if you ask staff they will say we can't arranage anything

Well i had to stay in this hotel since it was arranged by our client as we were in amritsar to implement SAP in a paper industry there. We stayed in this terrible place for a perios of more than six months...although the rooms are neat and clean and also well maintained but the major turn down is that neither the owner nor the staff understands that they are in hospitality business. They dont value their guests at all. Even though we stayed there for such a long period, they never showed any regard to us. They didnt provide free wifi..i was ok to use it as paid service and called the manager to activate it for me...it didnot work nd i informed him right away...he said he cant help it and to my surprise still charged me for it...very unprofessional i must say....their house-keeping staff is untrained and i observed in the very initial days of my stay that they fiddle with your stuff while cleaning the room so i stopped giving my keys and preferred getting it cleaned in my presence, for which they created an issue rather then accepting their fault which finally led me leaving the place after 6 months of torture. The lady owner is egoistic and is totally unaware of the word "HOSPITALITY". If u order a cup of tea around dinner time, the staff will tell u that u may have dinner instead since dinner is ready....who are they to tell me when i need a cup of tea?? Well i was at peace moving out from this place and happy since messing up with me led to their loss for another 3 months for which i would have stayed if they were a lil better!!

I visited this place during my recent visit to Amritsar. This place is located far away from city centre, approximately 10-12 kms away from Golden temple. You will never get any cab here to go to city. This place lies in a residential Shastri nagar area. There are many such Villas/Houses turned into makeshift hotels in this area and Ishan villa is just one of those property. Since you won't get any cab here, you may be forced to use cab service provided by hotel which is very costly. The villa has 2 floors with rooms from ground floor to 2nd floor. We were in a group and were allotted rooms on 1st floor. There are various rooms types and all are exorbitantly charged compared to the comfort they offer. The rooms have hard beds offering no comfort or rest while sleeping. The blanket was very dirty. The towels provided were dirty and torn. The bathrooms were not clean. To my surprise, a hotel which charges thousands of rupees as room charges had kept 1 rupee sachet of Clinic plus shampoo in bathroom for customers! They will charge you if you demand extra shampoo. 5 rupee medimix bars were kept in bathrooms. The geysers of some rooms were not working. You will have to ask somebody at reception to switch on your geyser in the morning to get hot water! The TV sets reminded me of 1980s. The TV set of my room was not working. When I asked the room service, the guy had to beat the TV set only to hear some noise from TV but no picture. During my entire stay the hotel staff could not repair the TV set. The intercom in one of the other rooms was not working and the reception answered that it had been the same for last 1 month! There is no view from any room of this hotel. Whenever you will open the windows, all you will see is Garbage. The service is pathetic. The staff is very arrogant and does not respond to your queries. The breakfast menu has no variety and is repeated everyday. You will be served cold and tasteless parathas and served tea/coffee in disposable cups. To my horror one of the staff checked the number of plastic disposable spoons taken for tea! The wifi service is chargeable. If you happen to be in Amritsar or are planning to visit, please skip this hotel and save yourself from trouble.

We had booked this hotel through our tour operator. The only inkling we had was that the hotel was not in the city centre. On reaching were were in for a great disappointment. The hotel is located far from the city in a poorly laid out housing colony with no decent approach road. As our interest was around the city this was unacceptable. Fortunately we got a good hotel in the city and called up Ishan for cancellation. They were naturally not happy on the phone and tried to put pressure on the cab drivers through the tour operators not to take us to any other hotel. The drivers were told that their payment will be withheld. To defuse the situation we went and met the owner's family in their city establishment (a chemist shop) We assured them that we are prepared to pay any reasonable cancellation fee. While an old staff was receptive, a young member would have none of and and brushed us aside saying that he would deal with the tour operator. Perhaps the pharmacy business and hospitality business make poor chemistry! Anyway, even though we did not stay in Ishan, we left with a poor impression of the hotel and their owners.

It was blind game for me to stay at Ishan Villa and I won that game. Hotel is good to stay. The rooms are good, neat and clean. Staff is responsive and polite. I have been greeted warmly even at 11 PM. The food is really delicious. There are few problems like connecting road to hotel is "Kaccha". They have a big problem in Wi-Fi so don't opt for it. Don't ever try to include wifi in your package. It is out side of Amritsar so away from various attractions. They don't provide computerised bill which is some thing unusual now-a-days although given bill contains all details regarding taxes and other.

respected sir..regards.. we are grateful for your valuable comments ..but all comments are not justified as well as true. before making your booking we clearly told you that there is a small road patch there which is not metaled (kaccha) and we are 6 k.m's away from railway st./ 7-8 k.m's from golden temp. / and 3 k.m's from the main market .. but you said that there is no problem for you and all fine . sir you came for an official work at fortis-escorts hospital which is just opposite of ishan villa. also as you have written that on 13th aug. 11 p.m in the night you arrived in the hotel ( this means there was no time left for sigh seeing on that day. next day 14th aug. by 12 noon you went out for fortis - escorts hospital and came back in the evening by 5 p.m from the work and checked out at 7 p.m for airport as you had the flight booked. so sir do you thing you had some time to move around for the sight seeing ? we are only 10 min. away from the main market - 15 min. away from the golden temple - and 10 min. away from the railway station . even then if you wanted to visit any spot you could avail our 24 hours quick taxi services but you had no time. sir you are always important for us but this is also not nice to write incorrect reviews about us to misguide the other travellers , write those points only which are true - correct and important .. never write any thing just for the sake of writting. about wi-fi - you must be knowing that we had given you internet connection on comp. bases and per chance it did not work .. all these electronic thing's working is not in our hand , those are machines only - always work ..some times stop then what to do..? we can call some one for the repair or replacement on quick bases but still need time . about bill .. i think it is not wrong if we issue a legal manual printed with vat as well as service tax no.s bill insted of one computerised printed bill. you bill no. was 6350 amount rs. 2432.00 but any way we are thankful for your visit . always with you.. the team of ishan villa.

I was in a hurry so checked in this hotel next to Fortis hospital. They knew people coz of their services will never pay them completely so will try to extract advance from you so that their part is safe and your misery starts. Staff looks pathetic, ill dressed & doesn't have professionalism at all. Ordered for lunch with curd & surprisingly found they don't have curd in hotel. Washroom water doesn't drain after bath. No laundry available. Half the items ordered from Menu are not available. Out of frustation i said what you have you serve me as it looks i was on their mercy. Shame on them to call it a Hotel, i feel inns would be better off. Utensils used to serve food were uncleaned.
