When we arrived at Ranger Woods, we weren't expecting much from the place. The photos of the property don't do much justice. And we were pleasantly surprised! The room we stayed in overlooks the lush green forest at the back and the long glass windows provide an amazing view. When it rains, the experience is something else altogether! The room... More

Super place to stay ..and Sunil and his indomitable Mum are great, attentive hosts. The location is stunning, set in rain forest and tea plantations ...the rooms are very clean and spacious and they give you lots of extras (toiletries, bread, butter, coffee etc) Hot water and the food is terrific and good value if you order it!

I was at Munnar during year end vacations. I found this option over TripAdvisor and enquired about the same with Sunil. Right from then, I liked his hospitality. He has maintained his property very good. Even there is extension work going on, but never troubled us in any way. Vodafone and BSNL only work best in this area, so be... More

A perfect home stay, perfectly organised rooms and homely treatment by Sunil and his mother. Food was also excellent and they prepare it as per your requirement. I would say its the best place to leave in Munnar amidst forest and cardamom plantations. A few minutes walk and you reach tea plantations from where you have breathtaking view of the... More

My husband and I traveled to Kerela in November 2014 and stayed at Ranger woods, Munnar for 3N 4D. This is a good 5 kms from the main market and at a much higher altitude- that's the best part. We were surrounded by tea and cardamom plantations, it was like living in a forest. The temperature was at least 6... More

I had a chance to stay in hotel ranger woods for two nights in Nov'13. The hotel staff was very courteous and the room was very well maintained. Our room was with pavilion view of the wild life sanctuary. I remember that the furniture was quite unique and beautiful.

Stayed for 2 days there in Feb 14, was a nice place, if u have own transport. Also no internet or mobile network as it's far in the fields, so nothing much to do after it gets dark...but a nice view and quite and clean. Staff are nice, esp the cook and maid, very nice food. We didn't like one... More

My nephew Samarth Maney, my sister, my wife. Since both of my daughters are abroad, our younger daughter's friend Sani accompanied us to Munnar. We drove from Bengalooru to Guruvayur temple. After a contended darshan, we reached Munnar around 9pm where sunil waited to receive us near the dam. We were happy to see two spacious rooms where sunil took... More

From the whistling by the Malabar whistling thrush (the bird that whistles) in the morning to the homely dinner at night. Its hard not to fall in love with this place!
